Research ongoing. All will be ready for media and sales within 8 weeks from now.

I have the working knowledge but I want to put it in pictures for all to see and I want to have enough on ground so that I can meet demand.

Please give me some time.

Stay in your room, evaluate existing feed formulas used commercially. Consider achieving thesame nutrient, feed appeal, cheaper cost using available feeding materials.

Produce small quantity, test it with few animals taking all the pictures at different growth rate and their response to different feed quantities. Make a table, bar or pie chat.

Buy, rent or borrow a nice suite and visit both big and small feed mills. Few of them will receive you well and out of the few, some will pay for that knowledge of yours.

God bless your thoughts.

What is the basic qualification. I mean, must the technical officer be an agric graduate?
AgricultureRe: Meet - Irrigation Technician For Your Turf, Garden And Farm Solution by TheUnbeatable(op): 3:01pm On Oct 01, 2015
Sprinkler is cheaper than drip.

If you use drip, it is advisable that you also use mulch film. But you will need less labour when using drip than sprinkler because of weed growth

I must really say you are doing a great job here Boss. You clearly have the passion for what you do. I was wondering if you have any idea what the job description of a Technical Officer in an agricultural firm is. I would really appreciate your help. Thanks.

The first and foremost thing before you plant is to test your soil.
Know the history of your soil. What and what was planted before.
Diseases don't show up until the later stage. But the history will let you know what crop was harvested and the possible diseases and pest of that crop before you plant.
With these you can now decide whether to plant or to treat the soil before planting.
I am sorry to say this but the truth is once a crop or field is infected, especially fruits and vegetables, its hard to salvage it. My trainer even told me to completely forget about it.
The one and only sure step is prevention and prevention alone.
Please stop using any pesticide or whatever.
If its some other crops, we usually recommend the use of water regularly maybe and who knows God could breath to it.
But stop all or any application.
And pray
Boss, I concor.

I have a feasibility study that someone sent to me.

From his analysis. It is profitable and the profit is location specific just like every other business.

Yes, there are activities of pests there (though very little cos I always spray pesticides at most every 10days).
Hmnn, insects sometimes develop tolerance or resistance to some insecticides that they are used to. For instance, the chemical killed their father, uncle, cousin, they are already familiar with the smell, once they percieve it, they will runaway and reappear days later.

The disease may be caused by insect vectors. But let me see the leave, stem or whole plant before I can say which is which. You take a picture of the healthy plant and take another picture of the dying plant. You also take the picture of under the leave and close to the stems.

God bless.

cicgroup:
Boss, the thing is that...it's not as if these crops are showing symptoms of nutrient deficiency... Cos the crops would be looking very healthy, with broad leaves. Then all of a sudden, they will start turning yellow and die off.

The other thing that worries me is this other case of the leaves shilvering....I was told its a fungi related disease. So I spray fungicide every 10days as well...yet they don't unfold (though the cases of folded leaves ain't that much shaa).

I know that the yellowing of leaves is related to nitrogen deficiency in the soil. So I've made arrangement for npk 20:10:10 to be applied to the crops this evening.

Also a local farmer I spoke with about an hr ago strongly suggests that I spray "karate" on the leaves. But the thing is, I know carract to be an insecticide, just like laraforce(whc is the one I use). So pls what's ur input to this?

Waiting earnestly for ur reply!
Thanks a bunch!
Please post the picture here or send me through my mail.

God bless.

The sanitation status of your neighbours pose a great treath to your farm health o. I hope you know that.

Pest and diseases are migratory and I pray they don't find you but if your neighbour farm is unkept, hmnn.

God bless your hustle.

Nevertheless,

Rabbit urine (46% N) or Urea, Npk 20:10:10 or any nitrogen rich fertlizer available can be used on the affected portions.

Do you have or observe any other symptoms apart from chlorosis?

Chlorosis is the name of the problem you are experiencing now.

Do you have browning of leaves? Or any other observable signs?

@Op:

Weather is the culprit on your farm.

Causative agent is rainfall.

How is the topography of your farm?

And what is the orientation of your ridges if any?

Rain either caused erosion or leaching to make the nutrients washed away or unavailable to your crops.

Abi you planted in waterlogged area?

A pix of your farm and crops will help me to help you.

I sat, eat, tread with elders over time. I mastered the secrets and keys of success in Agribusiness generally though I am a #production consultant#. Actualising people's dreams and solving challenges with indigenous knowledge and technology has been my cutting edge strategy.

With careful planning, managing, impleneting and evaluating your ideas and existing business with utmost good faith brings me joy.

Let's discuss your ideas and lots more on:
+2348067341873, +2347011027713(whatsapp)
bsaidealfarm@gmail.com

I am based in Akure, Nigeria and I travel a lot taking taste for sour situations.

I consult for different kinds of people with different pockets and still give outstanding result.

I see that some people actually need some constituents of business plans or feasibility studies while some need the whole package.

I will because of demand break the package into its constituents and bits to further satsify diverse wants. In this case I offer:

Production plan
Marketing plan
Implementation plan
Financial plan

These are the major constituents of business plan which Cost N80, 000. But if you want only one? You can do the maths and give me a call, sms, email or whatsapp.

Feasibility study constituents include:
Business appraisal
Cash flow analysis
Breakeven analysis

This is the major constituents of feasibility study and it cost N20,000. If you need only one constituent? You can do the maths.

I did this just to help a couple of people who knows one or two things about compounding the feasibility or business plans but need a professional touch in some areas of it just like many people buy feed materials and go to the feed mill to mill, formulate, pellet or grind whatever they brought.

This is my way of giving back to the society in this respect.

Sincerely yours,

God bless your hustle

AgricultureRe: How Do I Prevent Sawdust From Entering Water Troughs by TheUnbeatable(m): 7:12pm On Sep 29, 2015
blackmantis:
Use wood shavings rather than saw dust. Saw dust can block the respiratory track of the birds.

place wood shavings on the ground and cover with old newspaper. You may have to tape it to avoid the birds going under.
Place a new layer of paper each day over the previous ones. At d end of the 1st week remove all the papers.

As the chicks scratch the wood shavings they are bound to enter the drinker, use a small flat piece of wood or stone to lift it up. Note that the height of the drinkers must not be higher that the top of the tail feathers of the chicks. Keep raising it in this proportion as they grow.

Change the wood shavings when they are wet. Don't allow it to get too saturated with droppings or too wet, esp with broilers.
Rightly said Boss
