note that majority of irrigation matetials are imports and the exchange rate affect its cost. objectivity and practicality/reality should be put into consideration by the intrested farmer.

i noticed that many people thrive on lies and enjoy deceit alot. computer or internet farming is very far from practical agriculture and many dont care to understand. many factors are involved in agric production which if not carefully planned and budgetted for can bring grave effect to the whole venture.

irrigation is supplying water to plants in required quantity per location, per time.
in planning irrigation, the following are factors to consider:
soil texture
water availability
water table
soil structure
topography
drainage
crop to be planted
vegetation and others that may erupt with peculiar locations.

all interested farmers should note this, i am based in akure, nigeria and your location is not a barrier but you have to be reasonable and look into yoyr budget before requesting for my services. you cant invite me to lagos for lets say a " mini irrigation set up or repair work" and when after finishing your work satisfactorily and you change your voice, agreement and look and start begging me with lower service charge giving several excuses why you dont have up to that again. this is bad experience i dont want to repeat itself again as it used to. i decide not to say the city where this practice is common.

the beauty of my work is, i use locally available close substitutes to achieve success in my works. it all boils down to thinking wide.

I mean. You can buy broilers, pigs, turkeys and others, slaughter, package and supply super markets, meat shops, companies and individuals. You can organise it to the extent of doing home delivery within lagos,ogun and Oyo state. It's all about planning.

I mean, for you to get a better returns on the land, it will be advisable you plant only one type of crop on the piece of land. Then you can leave a small section of it to site your processing plant.

You need to thread cautiously in choosing what to do with the land. 20 hectares is good. If you still have the propensity to buy more. I will advice you do plantation agriculture like plantain, oil palm and the likes but I want you to. Know that it requires good financial investment.

You don't need more than one acre for any processing plant.

Don't spread your money over many ventures at a time. Start with one, increase it and then do others one after the other.

Your state is a virgin land and I consult for people there, so please think very well.

The bulk of the industry is in Lagos, Ogun and Oyo states and by location, you are disadvantaged.

There are other things you can do also.
