Weah96:
To quote Sigmund Freud, "one is very crazy when in love."

Love can be measured with an MRI, and the same parts will light up every time. The experience can be replicated over and over, even in the body of the doubting skeptic. Science has already analyzed the physiology of it. So it's not this esoteric thing that you make it out to be

I come from the Freudian school of thought, even though our increasingly politically correct society have largely dismissed his sharp observations and research.
Freud proposed that life was really about sex and work. Love is the engine that keeps that life running.
Well, I guess megan good limited the horizons. It's not only about loving your wife.you love your mother, brothers etc. And on these occassions sex don't come in.and it's not only about love...people feel hate, jealousy, lust, etc.(And no one can see all this but we believe it exists because we can feel it) Mr frank and yourself have talked about the brain interpreting this feelings and classifying them but that's the same thing those who believe in GOD say: they feel GOD's presence. They connect with a force they percieve to be extra-ordinary. Just like you can't control yourself or really explain the feelings that come over you when megan good walks into the room.

It's good to know you have a crush on meagan good(her beauty couldn't have been accidental) and that leads me to my next question though you havn't answered any even when they required only yes or no.

At some point in time you must have looked a certain lady in the eyes and whispered those magic words :I love you.

you cannot see love, touch love or hear love,so can you tell me why you believe love(or crush) exists?

I didnt mean to fight u. Just stating what I observed. Sometimes discussions go round and round when one party refuse to carfully think through what the other said.
The fact still remains... No one has seen God! What exactly is your point when you tell someone to believe in God.
How do you even discuss meaningfully with someone who believes in an invisible being and sees you another who don't believe in something invisible as unreasonable?
It is obvious... If you really carefully think it through, if you can just let go of your dogma, if you call realise yourself from the shackles of life long indoctrination, if you can ask yourself the right questions.. You will see that if there was really a God overseeing this world, it will never never be in this condition.
........
You're filled with so many assumptions.
Christianity EtcRe: The Weah96 Challenge. by theunusualmoon(op): 8:37am On Aug 13, 2015
@frank317, I would have considered you worthy enough to discuss with if you hadn't started your input with "you refuse to learn"......people like you turn harmless threads into fights.

Yes. Nothing is an accident. The event is perfectly NATURAL and every conducive element was NECESSARY and PRESENT. Time and nature represent immovable objects.
........
Wow,so we have moved from GOD exists or not into "accidents are perfectly natural.they don't exist". I guess you chose to tow this line in a bid to defend the big bang theory(which I don't believe in) being itself a natural process and not an accident. Ok let's see. How about the stuff that happened to michael shumacher while he was skiing, what do we call that?
And how about paul walker's death?

I believe in my self as God, Folykaze just brought it to my attention that this is the same belief held by Yoruba spiritualists. The only difference is, I don't sacrifice things to MYSELF, and I don't engage in rituals or ceremonies of any kind.

I present the universe as God when conventional theists begin to use their infinite regression argument to posit a remote, and historically tribalistic creator. If the God being cannot have a creator, then why should the universe have one? It is certainly vast enough to encompass all sorts of tricks that could potentially confound the human imagination.

A roofer slips from the roof of a building, splattering his brains on the concrete below.

Which part of that event was an accident? Think about it. Everything worked as designed, his shoes, the roof material, his pants, everything did its job according to nature. It is our ego that determines what an accident is.
.....
An old woman steps out of the shower onto a tiled ground, she slips, hits her head on the floor and dies. Will our ego come to play before we consider this an accident?

"Who said that the big bang was an accident? Does mother nature do things by accident or by her nature? It wasn't an accident. It was carefully arranged by the universe itself, not an alien or humanoid being with consciousness."

Do we conclude that you believe in god and in your opinion the universe is god?

I believe that I'm the greatest God that I know. Every human probably has the same measure though, but they have no superiority over me.

For displaying his skills on the Recession album, young Jeezy became a God. But only as a revered person. In all likelihood, he carries his own personal ID but he doesn't yet know that it is God.
.....
Well it's good to know you and young jeezy are one and same.
It is also good to know you're not an atheist(correct me if I am wrong) and this means you and those who have chosen to believe in a certain GOD have a right to their opinions so maybe you should stop spitting venom on those who have chosen a certain path.
As for me I believe the earth and its mechanisms are too organised to be referred as a coincidence or a big bang accident.I believe it was CAREFULLY designed.

Gods exists, no question. I'm an example. Certain Gods are fake and imaginary though. I have a list of Gods that I believe in and a list of Gods that I dismiss. So actually, I don't understand where you're going.

Do you want me to tell you why I disbelieve in conventional deities like the one you pray to, or why I believe in the ones that I do?
........
So which gods do you believe in? Do you consider any of these gods to be superior than all others including yourself? Or are you the greatest god ever?

Op, answer the damn question. Why don't you believe in gods.

Arh!

I know weah69 hasn't answerd my question.truth is he doesn't know why he doesn't belive or perhaps he's had one or two experiences that made him feel: whatks the point? This thing called GOD is unbelievable and that's why I have gone a step further to paint the scenarios above.hoping we can all come out of our shells a little further.

Survival instincts. The baby is dead without its parents, or without human supervision. That feeling is the only thing keeping it alive. It doesn't know that you feel the same way.
........
I think your response is simply based on the fact that you think you know where I am going with this but let me make it a bit more elaborate.

This happened in a movie or a book.I can't even remember where I picked it up from.

There was a guy who loved his wife to a fault.she got pregnant and he rejoiced but deep within he knew there was something wrong. He loved her but being a doctor kept him guessing. Her timing was wrong.
After the birth he decided to carry out a DNA test.He was right the child wasn't his.Who could it have been? The only other male in the house was is father. So he damned the consequences and intelligently got a sample from his dad and Bingo!(Before the test a lot of people have said :oh my gawd this kid looks so much like you) well the kid turned out to be his brother.
2. I know you don't live here but it is a known fact that babies are switched at birth whether accidentally or delibrately by medical workers and so many homes and people out there have kids and daddy's and mummy's that are not theirs.

So my question to you is this.
How come so many people out there don't take paternity tests but are very sure that their kids are theirs and this person they call dad or mum is truly theirs?

I am not calling for DNA testing I am only saying that there are so many things out there that you believe in even without requesting for a proof. So weah69 why do you neeed proof before you believe GOD exists?

.
Christianity EtcRe: The Weah96 Challenge. by theunusualmoon(op):
@weah96

Let's pretend the DNA test does not exist.
How can you prove that your mum,dad and child is truly yours?

In the end children only grow up to respect and refer to those that nurtured them with love as parents. Most people don't even go for DNA testing.
So what is that feeling that makes a child(Even an adult) look up at its mother or father and say: mummy, daddy?

There are different Gods. Are you referring to Jehovah, Yahweh, or Allah? My reasons vary for each one.
....
Before we begin to delve into different denominations.Let us consider the term GOD I.e a higher being. Do you believe this being exists or not? Please give one reason for your answer.

You and I have had a few chats over time.I think it is high time we had an elaborate one.You seem to always try to riducule every post that aligns with GODly beliefs on NL and I think it will be nice if you can just give me one reason why you believe GOD does not exist.I ask for this in a bid to give you something to think about.

Women most times argue that their dresssing is not enough reason for men to objectify them so the challenge lies in the fact that the same people who you have taken out time to write this intelligent piece for might just be the same set of people that will first criticize it.

Thinking about it all and wondering what shape things are taking. Is the cup half empty or half full? Can one president bring all the answers we need.Is boko-haram truly us or does the sect have foriegn imaginary hands? Are people getting poorer or richer.will this land truly flow with milk and honey or are we a bunch of jokers.will our efforts towards rebuilding this nation see the light of day or will corruption and nepotism win this war.will the igbo's secede or will the country stay together?will the ND militants pull a rabbit out of the hat or will we channel our strengths aright? Is the country a ticking time bomb or a true giant of africa? When exactly will we be confident enough to say this cup is half full?
