When you hear people say life is a b**ch,at times,they are unwittingly referring to Karma.
Karma is simply the idea that one reaps what one sows.If you betray a friend who has been honest with you for sometime,you"ll most certainly be stabbed in the back by someone you trust sooner or later in a more painful fashion.
So the big question is: What force ensures Karma lives up to its responsibilities?
Much respect to my atheist friends and their opinion on GOD but I would like to know where they stand on... Karma! Does the average atheist believe in Karma?
How about Curses?
Curses most times come from people perceived to be vindictive and are doled out on people who are believed to deserve them.It will be pretence shrouded in dishonesty if we refuse to believe in the potency of curses.The history of curses can be traced to many ancient books and cultures but truth is they seem to come naturally for those that deploy them as arsenal.Furthermore, those on the receiving end of this oral venom seem to attract the prophecy meted out "on" them by their punisher like a magnet.
So the next question therefore is : what force ensures curses come to fruition? To put succintly, how does a spoken word from the mouth of someone spring into life in the life of another?

There is no questioning Elijah Muhammad's uprightness. He did His duty more than it was even expected. The fallout of Malcolm Shabazz was that He was suspended from the Nation of Islam.
After the death of kennedy, Elijah Muhammad told all Ministers never to comment. Malcolm Shabazz made a comment "the chicken has come home to roost He said". He was suspended, He got hurt, He went on a trip to Mecca, where He was shown beauty and wealth just like Jesus was tempted with, Jesus passed His and overcome the temptation. Malcolm Shabazz got carried away with it, and decided to form His own movement.

Sure, I have. But we're talking about the alleged creator of the universe here, not manufacturer of textbooks. The book contains verses which protect the investment of the writers. There are verses warning about adding words or subtracting words. There are other verses which say that the book is complete, undeserving of any further modification.

And then there's the inherent syllogism:

God cannot lie.
The bible is the word of God

Therefore, the bible is 100% true. It is what it is.

I understand you perfectly.And I can tell you that most of the contents in that book is about incidents that happened at a time when documentation was non existent.so there is a possibilty of exaggeration or deficient information.Infact the events and speeches quoted in the book happened years before the book was put together.

And that's why I want us to discuss the existence or non-existence of GOD before we delve into religious denominations or books.Because I don't believe we need to refer to these books before we can realise that GOD exists for GOD is greater than the books.

That's all good and well, but I'm going by what the books say. The bible, for example, makes it very clear that belief in Jesus CONFERS magical powers to command inanimate objects using speech. Those who can't do it, do not believe in Jesus.

Haven't you ever come across text books or study materials with one or two errors? Did you discard them for this reason? Or did you go on to correct the errors and then use the book.

Haven't you ever been in a class where students raised objections at the teacher's opinion?
And everyone realised there was an error,they corrected it and continued learning under the same teacher?
