I lost my passport here in Canada, and heading to Ottawa today to get a new one. Please any advice? Ive been hearing different stories on how it has to get to Abuja for approvals and so on. My wedding is in July and i hope this passport issue doesnt become a problem.

I just recently applied for my Full drivers license here in Canada, but i would need to show a Nigerian License with driving history of at least 3years and a letter from FRSC to reduce the insurance i would have to pay.

Another thought: what if i travel with the old passport and old visa since they are both still valid( until the visa expires) and then going forward i can apply for a new visa with my new name on the new passport and cancel the old passport. Dunno if this makes any sense

I am a male and did a legal change of name (change of Surname) a few years back but just concluded the change of name on my passport last week. My UK visa on my other passport is still valid, can i still travel with both passports and just show my change of name documents at the airport or do i have to transfer the visa to the new passport since the name on the Visa is my old name.

it keeps bringing out white smoke from the exhaust, and the engine oil is always short. when i check the engine there is always engine oil all around. The mechanic says i need to ring the engine, please is this a good idea. Also, the car vibrates when in a stop position like in traffic.

I been following this forum for awhile but didn't know how to post a comment but found out today so yipiiis!
Anywaz I applied for UK tourist via with my mom(mom is d sponsor) on the 6th of dis month n we both got an email from teleperformance on the 16th that : UK Visas & Immigration has now assessed your UK visa application and made a decision. Your documents and the decision will be sent back to the either the UK Visa Application Centre where you applied, where we will contact you by email over the next few days to collect them, or if you are using the courier return service, will be sent directly back to the address you provided.
And we got another like 15 minutes later that: Your passport and any returned supporting documentation have now arrived back at the Teleperformance UK Visa Application Centre.
Am really scared cos of comments on such mails.
Plzzzz if there is any1 that has gotten their visa after such mails plz lemme know. Thanks

Thats typically the same email sent to everyone regardless of if you were issued a visa or not. The only way to find out is when you get your passport back.

What I would suggest you do is, build business leads prior to your journey. At the port of entry have varying documentations to prove(incase you have to answer questions).
You already have the visa, so read between the lines >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

@justwise @Vicjustice, i was granted a UK business visa last year for a business trip from Dec 1-5 which i ended up missing because my passport came back late to Teleperformance. I intend to use the same visa to visit family in the uk for 2 weeks.

My Question is Do i still tell them at the uk border that its a business trip or do i go ahead and say im visiting family even though its a business visa?

I have travelled to the UK before in 2008, infact i was born in the UK but do not qualify for automatic citizenship because my date of birth was after 1 Jan 1983. I recently applied for a business visa for a trip fully sponsored by my employers but was refused.

"As evidence of your funds and income you have submitted two bank statements from GT bank for accounts in your name. However, i note that there are large and irregular deposits entering the accounts in addition to your salary. These deposits are inconsistent with the account history and your stated income. You have not provided any evidence as to the origin of these deposits, i am therefore not satisfied that your personal and financial circumstances are as stated."

Justwise... it is true that there are some deposits which are not consistent with my stated income but these deposits come as a result of payments for my Freelance wedding Photography which was not indicated in my application form and also deposits made by a colleague of mine and mumsi that i help to pay their vendors/bills via online transfer payment system.
Also some of the deposits are from my employer to pay vendors for goods and services.

Please how do i represent all of this in my new application and what evidence do i show for my freelance photography?

Ok....let me get this right....you changed your name but still kept your old passport with the old name but used your name in your bank statement?

Yes i still have my old passport and it has not expired yet but still has my old name and so does all my documents except my Salary statement which has my new name.
My personal bank statement has my old name.

You need to submit both passports and a detailed explanation why you changed your name.

I only have one passport which still has the old name, i have not got a new passport yet. And my Salry account statement shows my new name
