*Davido

Davido, born in 1992, is 21 this year. Young yeah...but we doubt if he'd still be adding more inches to his height.

Kenny Ogungbe

Kennis Music record label boss, Kenny Ogungbe is not only a celebrity but also an instrument in the making of celebrities as well...we could not but notice his height though...!

Alright, so if you are short and you think you have been cheated by nature, here is not just a list of short people but also a list of ten reasons why you should get up on your feet and get success for yourself!

P.S
Who is missing on this list?

*O.C Okeje:

Upcoming actor, O.C Ukeje, is definitely a don when it comes to acting, especially in award-winning movies. Good looks, yes...but talk about height and you know why he made this list.

*Gabriel Afolayan:

We sure remember how he brilliantly interpreted his role in “Madam Dearest” which was produced by Tade Ogidan in 2004. Because he had to cry a lot in the movie, we assumed he was considerably young...but he hasn't grown any taller since then.

*Nonso Diobi:

His ‘pretty’ face would not allow you notice his height in movies...but our eagle eyes sure did and brought him right on here...*big smile!

If you think that height is the in thing, then you are probably mistaken. Here's a list of the shortest celebrities in Nigeria (apart from Aki and Pawpaw) who have made it despite their "proximity to the ground"...

*Julius Agwu:

Ace comedian, Julius Agwu has stood out despite his short height as one of the most successful celebrities in Nigeria. Married to a beautiful woman, we only hope that his children "outstand" him in the nearest future.

*Jim Iyke

A Ladies' man, Jim Iyke makes sure that whatever he does not have in heights, he makes up for in swags!

*Teju Babyface:

Remembering his role in that old movie, "Diamond" does not leave us smiling. Oh, he his so hilarious and all that, but we cannot but wonder how he stooped to kiss his wife on his wedding day.

*M.I:

The chocolate city rapper might not be rich in inches but he’s definitely rich in talent.

*Wizkid Ayo Balogun:

I heard he is still young enough to grow again at some point. Let’s join our faith with his and see what happens next.. lol

EntertainmentWhy Pick On Bloggers? by thinka2(op): 4:53am On Jul 24, 2013
Recently, popular Nigerian blogger, Linda Ikeji, came out to clear the air on several tales that had pervaded the media about her personality. Perhaps, the part of the post that got to me most was where she said:

"Just four years ago, in 2009, while a CEO of a modeling and events company, I went to the ATM to withdraw money from my account. I checked my balance and it was N800.
I wanted to withdraw N500 but the minimum balance you can leave in your account then (don't know if it's same now) was N500, so the ATM didn't give me the N500 I desperately needed. I tried to withdraw N300, but found out the minimum one can withdraw from an ATM is N500. I went home feeling down, wondering when my life would turn around. It has! Just four years later, I am a self-made millionaire".

Inspiring...

In a way, we all can resonate with those ATM experiences. So, she has cleared the air about her being a member of the illuminati, a fraudster, blackmailer, husband snatcher, runs girl and what have you (never knew they were so many of them names) or ever dating Jim Iyke and Ikechukwu the Rapper.

This gets me thinking....

Really...how appreciated are bloggers in Nigeria? A large percentage of Nigerians no longer buy newspapers because of free and instant updates by bloggers (everybody likes free things now) who strive to meet the needs of teeming Nigerians and who only get insults on their personalities on the comments thread- "bloggers are stupid, bloggers did this and bloggers did that".

A frustrated blogger, Tochukwu, once wrote: The main thing that pisses me off is that I'd pay for my internet data to be feeding you with fun updates, I put the latest album downloads, I put videos, I put things that I know you ungrateful bitches will like, not for any money, I make no money....". Then, he went on to ask; "Have you tried paying for internet data like 8 times in a week, paying your website hoster extra money cos your site crashed consecutively? All this money, NA YOUR PAPA DEY GIVE US, ABI?"

Hehehe...forgive his use of strong words there but it's the truth!

No, I won't begin to sound subjective...blogging is one of the many endeavours in life where you have to face challenges- subscription, electricity and the input of ALL YOUR TIME. It can also be profitable at times but really, not all bloggers are making all the money you think that they are from your clicks. Many are just doing it out of passion or a sense of service. Everyone is entitled to opinions about any blogger but if you simply don't like a person's personality, why visit his territory in the first place?

This Riri girl is definitely "the good girl turn bad girl"

Rihanna was pictured in Sweden very recently alongside her closest pal wearing transparent top that shows off boobs & pierced nipple.

In as much i love her personally and her music talent and prowess sometimes i wonder what is going on in Rihanna’s head these days with all the controversies and nudeness. Is that all part of entertainment, i must ask

CelebritiesMiss Nigeria 2013 Or MBGN 2013 : Who Is Your Beauty Pick? by thinka2(op):
Several controversies have trailed the emergence of 18-year-old Anna Ebiere Banner as the winner of the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria beauty pageant. Originally from Bayelsa, representing Bayelsa and in a show hosted in Bayelsa, some Nigerians have simply cried "foul" about her victory at the competition. But that is not what I'm "branching" about.

The Miss Nigeria beauty pageant was incidentally held this month as well and Akudo Ezinne, a 22-year-old graduate emerged the winner. Who is your beauty pick between them both? More pics after the cut...

CelebritiesHOW COOKIES CRUMBLE: What Led To Funke Akindele's Marriage Separation by thinka2(op): 7:23am On Jul 20, 2013
Funke Akindele, went through hell in her marriage to Kehinde that, when the centre could no longer hold, it just had to give way. Their marriage which suffered many hiccups shortly before it became known to the public, continually overwhelmed 'Jenifa" star due to shocking but true tales of extra-marital relationships that have led to not less than 10 love children traced to Kehinde.

The rate at which the estranged hubby’s sexcapades played out nearly turned the hitherto adoredactress to an object of ridicule and the topic of rile discussion among professional colleagues and fans. It worsens with caustic and cynical comments online.
Kehinde, reportedly showed no remorse though after much pressure and damning reports he later admitted one of his mistresses, Modinat, and then three months pregnant for him was actually carrying his baby.

Earlier, the media was awash with the shocking revelation that his second wife at home, Fadeke, was equally pregnant as Fadeke was forced to travel out during the wedding to Dubai, an indication that she did not support the union. In a typical Yoruba setting, the senior wife should receive the new bride into the family.

Checks revealed Fadeke too was not formally received by the evicted first wife, Toun. All these and more drew public odium to the hitherto much loved The Return of Jenifa star, especially women who believed she’s a home wrecker.

Though her world nearly crashed, Funke gathered the bits and pieces of her life, shunned critics, naysayers and had the wedding with all the trappings of a celebrity. Like a blind lover, she was rushed into the marriage.

Even when it was obvious there was a crack in the marriage, she debunked all the reports, insisting that her husband has never been married. She was the woman he got married to and she was married properly.

Funke Akindele, observers argued , must really be in love and with that claim the inquisitive media kept off her trail but it was only a matter of time. The secret cannot be kept away forever.

As expected, Funke blinked first but she could not say it out. She knew it was over and ready to face it, not by defending herself but putting her struggles and triumphs behind her to face her career.

They kept each other at measured distance and it worsened with the fact that elderly family members, influential personalities cannot intervene. Both are fiercely independent adults. Kehinde had been to Funke’s dad once and hardly call her mum. Time, they believed will heal all the wounds.

Her mum, just like her siblings have become such an intricate part of keeping her strong. The mother has since moved to her Ikeja home to give her strength. More evident that there was a crack in the marriage is each time Funke stepped out on the red carpet, Kehinde never showed. He was never with her at any public function. She however found company in her immediate elder sister, Ayo Ola Mohammed and shut her doors at some professional colleagues to avoid gossips.
“While the trouble was brewing silently, sources claimed that Funke gave several breaks and chances. She would call him, begged him even when she was right but Kehinde just wanted to have his own way not minding the consequences or effect of his actions on her, her career and public perception. He cared less about her status, in fact, all those negative media never got to him. He’s fiercely independent.

Surprisingly, he returned to Modinat Dada, who gave him a baby boy last October while he married Funke in May. It was a slap on Funke’s face.

In the heat of this, she lost her pregnancy though reliable sources hinted she was glad it happened as it prepared her for the imminent exit. The fact that both of them lived separately also worsened the situation. While Funke can be traced to her Ikeja home, her hubby is a ‘bed sharer’.

He shuttles between three known women- Funke, Fadekemi, Modinat, and strangely too, other harem.
Baffling too is the issue of complex and security. Kehinde, according to our source could not believe that Funke’s back-to- back endorsement comes so easy. He thinks those corporate guys who give those endorsements cannot really take their eyes off her.
Severally, he checked her phone and queried some names and the relationship she has with her callers.” Observers believe the fact that the marriage is broken was hurting enough but the decision of Kehinde to announce it on Facebook was heartbreaking and nasty. Not a few have lampooned him for his action considered to be childish and immature. His post did not give room for reconciliation. It went public and viral as soon as it was posted.

His “Facebook divorce”, an observer said, confirmed the marriage has been through hell and he needed to pour his broken heart out to the world. At Funke’s home, mum is the word. Members of the family have resolved to keep mute, fold their arms and watch how events unfold.

So so sad unhappy ending for the marriage of "Jenifa" star so many people have come to love and adored.

However, having known Funke for a long while, i strongly believe she will come out strong from this because Funke i know is a fighter and wont allow marital mistake to wear her out and completely

PoliticsVideo: University Girls Engage In Free For All Street Fight by thinka2(op): 5:23pm On Jul 19, 2013
If you ever stayed in a female hostel on campus, you must have witnessed the commotion that usually ensues when two girls are fighting (usually on a very inconsequential matter). Heralded by a noise, the fight usually leads several foot-steps to the scene of the fight.

The rather annoying part is that the on-lookers see it as a means of amusement while several gangs help out one another in a very bullish manner. Watch this video and see what I am talking about!
Perhaps, what we need is a re-definition of the meaning of education. Yes, perhaps many girls have forgotten that there is more to being educated than attending lectures and getting a certificate. Education is richness of the mind; and only a poor mind will worsen by physical combat, what can be addressed by a sensible conversation.

Did you notice that the fight did not come to an end until one of the girls went into a comma? How can university girls behave in such a shameful manner? It is simply saddenning! *sighs.

RomanceHelp!!! I'm About To Kill My Husband by thinka2(op): 3:44pm On Jul 17, 2013
My name is Vera (nick name) and I have been happily married for 3 years with 2 children. My younger sister had been in school abroad studying medicine and she just came home for holidays. She had never met my husband, neither had my husband met her.

Last June, we were to attend our maternal cousin's wedding and we decided to meet at the venue of the wedding. She was excited over the phone because she wanted to show me the engagement ring her boyfriend gave to her. I asked my husband to drop me off but he said he has an important meeting to attend somewhere in Ibadan. So I had to go by cab. On getting there, I met my younger sister who was all over the moon about the engagement ring her boy friend whom I never met gave her. She gave me another shocker, telling me she was pregnant with his child. I was not so happy with that news but I was happy for her all the same and started asking for my details about her "Mr.hunk" as she called him and when he would meet our parents in Ibadan. She insisted that she wanted him to meet with me first, then we would all go to Ibadan.

After the wedding, we had to wait and meet her boyfriend. As at the time he arrived, I was so tired that I just went into the backseat and waited while they kissed all so passionately. I cleared my throat and my sister, beaming with smiles, excused herself to introduced her boyfriend to me. Lo and behold, I nearly fainted as I saw who it was. I just kept pointing at him but the words couldn't just come out....My sister was not only engaged but was pregnant for my husband; the father of my children!

It was then that I understood the foreign trips and every other trip that he ever went on. I am confused, bitter and angry. Most of all, I pity my sister who is about to be the second wife to her sister's husband. But above all, I just want to kill my husband.

Please advice me before I do something drastic.

PoliticsINCREDIBLE: Rivers Lawmaker Who Battered Others Now Claim To Be Hospitalised by thinka2(op):
A lot of us have seen drama (click HERE for mobile) that happened in the River State of Assembly which had reconvened after months of suspending plenary to consider an amendment to the state’s 2013 budget.

However Majority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Chidi Lloyd, while speaking to journalists recounted his ordeal in the hands of some lawmakers opposed to the state Governor, Mr. Chibuike Amaechi, who were accused of being behind the mayhem in the state legislature Tuesday.

The twist is that the same man seen in video beating, spanking and boxing other lawmaker with mace, planks and blows blue black now claim to be on sick bed after sustaining injuries.

Hear him "He said: “I’m so helpless; I don’t know who to run to. I can’t go to the commissioner of police because he is already in the arena; he’s already on the other side. I’m appealing to well-meaning Nigerians to pray for me and my family. That is the last hope we have resorted to and that we also urge the National Assembly, the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives not to turn the other way on the events in Rivers State. This could lead to something that we cannot imagine.”

My questions now are:

1)What is he taking drip for ? To re-grain the strength he used in planking his fellow honourable's ?
2)Is it someone who sustain injuries that will calmly lie on a sick bed, cross leg and majestically place his cap by his bed side?
3)What about the dude that was being brutalizes in the video Where's his own hospital bed picture?
4)Which well-meaning Nigerians is he shouting for, for help or is it same well meaning Nigerians that are so impoverished with their greed and shamelessness

My candid conclusion is that we haven't seen or heard the last of this shameless drama. God help Nigeria

FashionMUST READ: 10 Secret Facts About Hair And Nails by thinka2(op): 7:06am On Jul 10, 2013
Of course, we know that both our hair and nails are constantly growing....but here are secret facts that we should also know about our hairs and nails!

Facial hair grows faster than any other hair in the body: In fact, if the average man never shaved his beard it would grow to over 30 feet during his lifetime, longer than a killer whale.

Every day the average person loses 60-100 strands of hair: Nonetheless, your hair loss will vary in accordance with the season, pregnancy, illness, diet and age.

Women’s hair is about half the diameter of men’s hair: This translates into the fact that men’s hair is coarser than that of women…but this, of course is dependent on race.

The fastest growing nail is on the middle finger: Nail growth is related to the length of the finger, with the longest fingers growing nails the fastest and shortest the slowest.

There are as many hairs per square inch on your body as a chimpanzee: We have lots of hair, only that it’s not obvious on most of us as a majority of the hairs are too fine or light to be seen.

Hair colour determines how dense your hair is: Here, blondes are said to have more hair. The average human has 100,000 hair follicles, each of which is capable of producing 20 individual hairs during a person’s lifetime. Blondes average 146,000 follicles while people with black hair tend to have about 110,000 follicles. Those with brown hair fit the average with 100,000 follicles and redheads have the least dense hair, with about 86,000 follicles.

Fingernails grow nearly 4 times faster than toenails: The nails that get the most exposure and are used most frequently grow the fastest. On average, nails on both the toes and fingers grow about one-tenth of an inch each month.

The lifespan of a human hair is 3 to 7 years on average: While you lose quite a few hairs each day, your hair strands actually have a pretty long life providing they aren’t subject to any trauma. Your hairs will likely get to see several different haircuts, styles, and even possibly decades before they fall out on their own.

You must lose over 50% of your scalp hairs before it is apparent to anyone: You lose hundreds of hairs a day but you’ll have to lose a lot more before you or anyone else will notice. Half of the hairs on your pretty little head will have to disappear before your impending baldness will become obvious to all those around you.

Human hair is virtually indestructible: Aside from its flammability, human hair decays at such a slow rate that it is practically non-disintegrative. Hair cannot be destroyed by cold, change of climate, water, or other natural forces and it is resistant to many kinds of acids and corrosive chemicals.

Jobs/VacanciesHow To Survive That Job You Hate by thinka2(op): 1:58pm On Jul 08, 2013
You wake with a start around 4am, and your brain still booting tries to pass a message across to your body that doesn't want to get out of bed that its Monday and that means Work!!!!
You jump out of bed immediately, the sleep is just never enough.you remember the almighty lasgidi traffic and how you have to leave your house very early and all you can think of is how much you wish you could change your job and do something you love, so you just put your make up purse in your bag, and your shoes, you wear a slippers to help you walk fast and hustle for a bus, slippers works better for that than shoes or as a guy, you'll just put your tie round your neck and knot it in the bus later.
well truth be told, you know you don't have any option but to stay in this job, the economy is not friendly and the salary, well whatever is left of it after deducting transport cost, house rent, feeding, personal savings (that is if there is something left) is needed.

You may not love this job but you can definately make it work for You, here are some few lasgidi tips on doing that...

* During the weekend familiarize yourself with your neighbors, you might find someone that actually plies your route and has a car, saves transport cost.

*Wake up early, don't keep your neighbor waiting, you can catch up on you remaining sleep in the car, whether airconditioned or not, believe me that few minutes of sleep is satisfactory.

* Don't be a snob at work, that will not help at all, that person you are trying to snob might actually be your transport-messiah back home.

*At work you could listen to some, music you love, music takes the stress off a bad day.

* make friends with colleagues, you all can gather together during lucnh time and have something to gist about.

* If there is a particular department in the office, you would like to work, learn more about it,show your boss that you are not only good at what you do but can do better in the other department.

* Spend time building yourself up on what you love doing even at office time but make sure it doesn't clash with your main work.

* Build up your cv than make an attempt to submit the cv to that company you want to work in.

*If you are thinking of owning your own business, start working on it alongside your job.

* When you are well balanced, resign and take the new job or be your own boss.
Take hold of life, don't let it be the other way round.
Have a lovely week...

FamilyWhy Do Parents Borrow Money From Their Children? by thinka2(op): 4:49pm On Jul 06, 2013
Your parents borrow your money…and of course, they don’t return it! You probably expect an apology but they don’t tender it! And to think that they start telling you that they didn’t spend the money on themselves but on the family needs? Does that sound like you? Common, let’s "branch" on this one...!

You have just received your salary or a scholarship fund…you have not told anyone but your mum’s suspicious look tells you what is coming next. In the next set of family discussion, she keeps chipping in the numerous family needs that are yet unsettled and how money is not forthcoming, but you do not say anything...

You go to your room to plan how you’d spend your money wisely with pen and paper…and just then "mumc" enters with the bombshell question; “…That your scholarship money, haven’t they paid it yet?” If you’d try to be smart, you’d say, “Which scholarship money? (But seriously, don’t try to be smart because your mum will tell you all the information about the scholarship, when they were supposed to pay, and even what bank they asked you to open an account with…!).

And then with an air of calculated effort, you reply, “They have paid it”. (You probably told her when they would pay it and expected the date to have skipped her mind, not knowing that she had since then, been actually planning on your money…lol! ) Then, she jokingly replies, “You didn’t even tell us when they paid it…” and then you go like “It skipped my mind”. Then, she smartly changes the conversation.

The next day, a sibling wants to buy kerosene and she’s busy in the kitchen…so, she beckons on you to quickly “borrow” her 1k for the mean time while she “returns” it later. You oblige her since of course, you can’t say you don’t have money. This “small small borrowing” goes on for some time and no “returning” takes place.

Then, one morning, she walks unusually slowly into your room, with such calm ambiance that should ordinarily have made you jump up with a start and ask what went wrong… but because you know what is about to happen, would only leave the bank account alarm in your head ringing. She doesn’t go straight to the point. She tells you about all the responsibilities that are at hand and then ends with; “My dear, you will ‘quickly’ borrow me…I’ll return it when…” This time around, it is not small borrowing, and as usual, the returning never takes place!

Sometimes, parental responsibilities can keep clashing on responsibilities and parents (in the average Nigerian family) always assume that everybody in the family should be understanding enough to contribute what (and possibly, all) they have towards the meeting of these responsibilities. Could they be right?

Well...I suppose the solution is a balance. Never be so selfish as not to include family in your financial budgets...parents should however, also note that children have personal budgets for their money too and will not like everything to be "borrowed" to meet family needs!

RomanceTIPS: How To Make Him Know You're The Right Woman For Him by thinka2(op): 11:01am On Jun 27, 2013
Well, I suppose you may first would want to know he is the right guy, so that your efforts are not in vain.. But certainly, there are certain things you do that will facilitate the process of Mr. Right's conviction...enzymes I call them!

1. Look your best: You don't have to be a beauty queen to win over a man. Whatever style you think looks great on you naturally, use it. Guys tend to look at the natural beauty more as the one to fall in love with than the one that's made-up for an hour to look a certain way. But no one ever said styling your hair a different way or doing your nails hurt. Guys like a put-together girl. But you don't need to go over the top!

2. Confidence is key: A serious guy wants a woman who can handle responsibility. You don't necessarily have to gloat about this...if you are responsible, you will definately know and live it. You'd be mildly confident and not overboard.

3. Be romantic: Reply missed calls, compose a message, give a compliment...a word of encouragement, oblige to an outing, buy a gift, compose a poem...remember important dates. It doesn't matter who the guy is, every guy will appreciate this a great deal. It just has a way of focusing a man's attention on you.

4. Don't ever ask the guy out: Whatever you do, no matter your convictions, make sure you don't hurt the male ego by asking a guy out. The average guy will like you less for it. All you have to do is create the right circumstance. Also make him feel like there is a good chance you will say "yes". Remember that too much certainty is a bad thing, as is too much obscurity.

5. Make it about you and him: Even in a public setting, or amongst a group of friends, make sure that your focus of attention is on him, and that you make him feel comfortable talking to you. Never make him feel like you are judging him, especially by the success of others.

6. Build his ego. This step is key, and this is the one that makes the guy "suddenly realize" how great you are. Don't outwardly compliment him, that's too obvious. Instead, try to make him believe that in your eyes he's perfect (i.e. the smartest, the strongest, etc.). This isn't an actual thing you say, it's more of an attitude that you give off when you're around him as opposed to other men. This will make him see how special you are for thinking he is special.

7. DO NOT FLIRT WITH OTHER GUYS: Period. Guys scare off easy, and for those who don't, they won't appreciate you handing out your charm to whatever guy passes the corner. He wants to feel like you've reserved that part of yourself just for him and that he is the only one who gets to see it.

8. Be interested in his world: If there are things that he is interested in that you are not, try to partake in them or discuss them with him at least once before mentioning to him that you're not really interested in them. The very fact that you were willing to partake in something that he liked that you didn't will make him see you as committed, considerate, and caring. The fact that you are willing to open yourself up to even the parts of him that you don't necessarily like will allow him to see how special YOU are to him. And at this point, you're almost there.

9. Be neither cheap nor cold: Avoid extremes...Don't pick up the phone on the first ring, be busy on certain "date-nights" and etc....but don't be cold either, don't make it seem as though you have lost interest. Simply, make yourself a bit less "acquirable" than usual, only for a short while.

10. Be open: Be open to and about a lot of things. Be open to correction (he'd soon realize you are not that perfect afterall) and be open about your challenges...don't be afraid to open up about your problems at work, with your family, friends etc. The superwoman thing just won't work...neither will playing the victim and being overtly so dependent on advice. Be available for a good conversation...be calm enough to talk things through and not argue out everything.

Finally, don't lose yourself in the process of trying to make anyone fall in love with you. The truth is that the right person will love you without your constant attempts to win them over.
