Denalarian: Ah! I saw my dad drive himself into the compound, walked pass me, just few seconds of that, he just looked back at me and said, "I have no strenght in me". Homeboy just slumped, I rushed to hold him. I heard his final breath while he rested upright on my knee trying to ask what was happening cos it was like a shock to me.. all this happened under 3mins. It was like magic. My sister and mum saw this happening while he drove himself into the compound, came down from his car and walked pass me and slumped.. that was the most heartbreaking experience I had all my life! Even those he waved at while driving in couldn't believe this story! Really, death na big thief. It just stole my dad from me korokoro and there was absolutely nothing I could do
This happend on th 11th of Dec 2024! It was just like nollywood.. we miss you dad and we love you! RIP. Instead of holding him confused the way u did, u should have put him in a recovery position and even initiate cpr when he became unresponsive. The man was having a cardiac arrest Your education is a waste. Nigeria happened to you and your Dad |

bigpicture001: Having lived all my young to mid adult life in Lagos and then being transferred by my firm to it's Anambra branch , I have now lived here for over two years... These are the differences in life style I noticed
1. Business are late to open in the morning in Anambra compared to Lagos
2. There very few or non existent road side mechanics, most mechanics are in a street inside a compound and fenced unlike Lagos
3. There is still high sense of morality and believe in God in this part of Nigeria by majority of of the people bar the student areas where culturi and believes are imported from various part of Nigeria unlike Lagos
4. There is low level of northern population throughout the state unlike Lagos
5. Most nysc corpers are southwestern and igbos
6. Inside the public transport a new entrant greets the old sittight ones... Unlike Lagos
7. In Anambra, keke driver or bike rider would give u the money to go look for change in cases of no change btw him and customer while he waits for ur return , reverse is the case in Lagos
8. In Anambra , both driver and persongers will reject money to the floor in cases of incorrect disputed price of fare... All allowing ur conscience judge u... In Lagos it results to fight...
9. In Anambra, house rents are very high just like Lagos.. but transport is cheap
10. In Anambra there is a few major fuel marketers mostly filled with unknown names
11. U hardly see anyone criticize a preist of a catholic or Anglican church...
12. In Anambra, student decision of department to follow in senior secondary Begins from SS2 rather than in SS1 in Lagos
13. The senior secondary skls in Anambra are divided to just science or art, while in Lagos it is science, commercial and art.
14. Girls in Anambra are strongly money incited...they judge u by how much u show off..maybe same with Lagos sha
15. Banks are the highest paying private jobs in Anambra unlike Lagos where unknown companies pay huge surprise wages.
16. In Anambra the predominant jobs of the yorubas is tailoring, they are better trusted by the clients than indigenous tailors... You are a liar, there is no Yoruba in Anambra |

This ur advie no go well He has his pistol which can make him work smart. Pistol na weapon too na. Rifles are for real combat. You can engage with pistols too and in a more serious encounter like with armed robber, u call in special squad while still holding your ground with pistols. Nigeria is not a war zone. Crime › Nigeria Police Shouldn’t Move Around With Rifles by thinkmoney(op): 11:14am On Dec 09, 2024 |
Nigeria isn’t really moving forward. We are attempting some radical reforms under Tinubus government though. However, the @PoliceNG should really be given attention. The practice where every police on regular duty is given assault rifle lacks practical wisdom. @PoliceNG shouldn’t move around with rifles during regular duty. -they have their two hands to do important things -they move more freely and are even able to run well. -the risk of dragging their weapons with them diminishes -injuries from accidental discharges lessens |

Health › Re: Have You Ever Been To A Morgue? by thinkmoney(m): 11:22pm On Nov 18, 2024 |
illicit: My first time and still only time at/in a morgue... I was out of state. My mum passed away. This was during covid 19. But she succumbed to diabetes. At 66. In a federal medical hospital. They also have a morgue. So she was transferred there.
I have heard a lot about morgue visits. When I lost a brother. My sister told me that the morgue at UCH Ibadan was a very scary place to be. She was maybe 15 and I was maybe 12 then and she was at the morgue with the wife to identify his corpse. She described a morgue in really incredible strange terms. I knew that people exaggerate.
They often want to make you think that a morgue is a spiritual or gothic place, that the dead people are still somehow alive but naked and cold.
Some will even tell you that they go out and come back. Se will even say they sneeze, they eat, they copulate. They hold meetings...
Why are they dead if they can still do things that a living person does?
So I was mentally prepared when it was my turn to see a morgue in and out.
My uncle was there, my brother was there, 2 of my sister's were there except a 6 months pregnant one ( they believe that a spirit can enter her in the morgue) so we left her behind.
At the morgue, inside. I have decided not to let my gaze wonder too far.
When they entered the room or I don't know what it's called. I decided to stay at the entrance because they had to wheel her out for proper identification. I was the only one yet to see her corpse. She died the previous day.
She looked like she was sleeping. I don't know if any man can see their parent in such state and not cry. The tears came without my permission or awareness, I was crying before I realized that I was crying then I felt a hand on my shoulder. It was just my uncle. I had never cried so hard since I was an adult that someone had to console me. When I lost my very handsome dad as a child, he was just 50 but I have always thought that he was the oldest man, I didn't know if I was to cry or try to be a young man.
Now I know better. I didn't remember anything about spirits I just kept remembering that till I matured. There's no time my mum slept outside unless she travelled. Here she was in this cold place since yesterday among strangers...
There was once corpse behind the entrance, the only one the corner of my eye caught.
I didn't want to stare at it because I won't forget about it. I don't know how to describe this corpse, obviously it didn't die of natural causes. It was bloated and greenish...
There was one worker at morgue. A middle aged man. He also knew my mum at the ward when she was alive. So I learnt or made to believe. He followed us to the burial. But this man was an extremely quiet person...
He sat away from the crowd. Won't drink alcohol. Ate enough. I don't know if it was customary for morticians to attend the funeral.
Sometimes I wonder if he wasn't a ghost. But I don't believe in ghosts. U be coward small and u sound soft |
