Stoplying: The war will teach you, I don't need to. And I don't have time to waste on you. Even ipob idiots have understood that siding with Niger republic is the way to gain support from northern Nigeria. Good bye kid. Wow, Mr teacher but you couldn't tell me how Nigeria soldiers will defect to Nigerien army and start being offensive against Nigeria. Wahala, Nigeria army will speak hausa with the Niger army and they will start eating tuwo together forgetting that they were supposed to be fighting war. Let me educate you a little, kid. Nigeria is not at war with Niger, ecowas is. In the event of war, its not only Nigeria that will be sending troops but the troops is a collective of soldiers from the west African states and its allies. In the event of war, how sure are you that the northerners in the Nigeria army composition will even be up to 50 percent? Why are there northerners among the soldiers fighting insurgency in Northern Nigeria or you also think the insurgents are lesser brothers to them than people from Niger? Why are there igbo soldiers fighting against UGM in the east or don't you also think they will stop the fight and start eating ofe nsala with UGM? Kids. |

gidgiddy: I laugh when I hear Nigerians talk about how the Nigerian Army will overrun Niger's Army. People who talk this way dont know that "one Nigeria" is non existent and will play out within the Nigerian Army
Much of South Niger is Hausa land, with a considerable portion of Fulanis. 56% of Niger Republic's population are Hausas, 7% are Fulanis, 6% are Kanuri's.
Do you really think that a Nigerian Hausa Soldier will go to Niger to kill his own brother? You think a Fulani or Kanuri will kill his own people? The Nigerian Army is still dominated by Northerners, most of them having links to Hausa, Fulani and Kanuri
Let tell you something, as far as Nigeria and Niger goes, the Hausa, Fulani and Kanuri consider both as mere colonial creations, and the borders mean nothing. If you think that you can send any Hausa, Fulani or Kanuri man to go and kill his own brother in the name of colonial creations, Nigeria and Niger, forget it. Its never going to happen. Thats when you will know how worthless 'one Nigeria' truly is.
Had Niger Republic been Igbo land, the Hausa/Fulani/Kanuri Soldier would have been too happy to invade and fight for Nigeria
But since Niger Republic is Hausa/Fulani/Kanuri land, have no expectation of these people going there to kill their own brothers, it will never happen
Infact, they may even join the Niger Republic Army to fight the rest of Nigeria your last line shows you may really be a primary school kid. They will be eating tuwo together in a war front kids. |

NaMe4: It's unfortunate certain individuals or interests are working hard to frustrate the appointment of this man.
It would be a huge missed opportunity to the Country, especially to a very critical sector such as the Power sector. swears, I was happy for once we are going to be hopeful about our epileptic powers situation but now this, apart from his religious side side, El rufai is a very resourceful administrator and will surely be a big loss to the tinubu govt. |

Napata77: What China builds in Africa: Railways. Hospitals. Airports. Stadiums.
What Russia builds in Africa:
Nuclear power plants to generate electricity. Fertiliser plants to grow crops faster.
RUSSIA ALSO WRITES OFF 23 BILLION DOLLARS OF AFRICAN DEBT OWED TO THEM RECENTLY. ON 27TH JULY 2023
RUSSIA TO SEND 25,000-50,000 TONES OF GRAINS FOR FREE TO 6 AFRICAN NATIONS
What Iran agrees to build in Africa:
Nuclear power plants to generate electricity.
What the US builds in Africa:
29 military bases (including a recently built drone base in Niger) to dominate the continent and deter Pan Africanism, in order to protect their own interests in Africa which is to steal and export Africa's natural resources.
What France builds in Africa:
Military bases to "fight terrorism" so they can justify being in Africa while funding these same terrorists while they exploit the continent and protect their own interests.
.......................
But NIGERIANS and their government favour the US and France OVER Russia, China, and Iran.
And are preparing to go and FIGHT A WAR AND KILL THEIR FELLOW AFRICANS in support of US and French EXPLOITATION of Niger Republic and Africa.
Is this not a sign that the colonialists did a HEAVY JUJU on Nigerians before they left, to make them FOOLISH? when you say China are building bridges, hospitals and railways I don't understand what you mean, you mean CCECC and other Chinese civil engineering companies are building these things for free? Or do you mean the Chinese government are donating these "bridges" and "railways" to Africa for free? Does it make sense to you that China will give you loans and will also dictate to you that their companies handles the projects the loans will be expended on? Carrot and stick approach. How did China become suddenly rich? If you did your homework you would have known that a chunk of their wealth came from the exploitation of the African resources. Chinese sponsors various terrorist groups in Africa so they can protect them while they loot our natural resources but the west is your problem, the Chinese vessels fish illegally every minute in bayelsa state, they mine gold illegally in Ghana, they pay militant groups in DRC in weapons and Cash to protect them while they loot DRC, same in Car, Congo and so on and so forth but you are blind to all these atrocities but the west is your problem. Tell me what the west benefits from your state that the funds your state receives for free from the west yearly is bigger than your annual IGR. You are a perfect example of a black man that cannot think for Himself, why can't you do away with the west without romancing China and Russia? In a hundred years to come your kindreds will be writing another epistle why Africa have to do away with China and Russia and and start romancing with another new bride that may have sprung up at that time, maybe Saudi and UAE at that time. Africa is capable of standing on its own feet, we are well of and old enough, put an end to your slavish mentality. |

yabatown: What a rubbish comment.
Na so Typical Igbo, especially Anambra dey do. They will claim everywhere is no man’s land and want more rights than the indigenes but the way they create division even inside the Igbo land is too bad.
They can never allow any Igbo from any other Igbo and Igbo speaking state to get any benefit from their hoodlum and kidnappers infested state yet they want to dominate others in their own states and claim ownership of every market in every state in Nigeria.
Is high time other state in Nigeria start discriminating against Anambra people living in their states to serve them dose of their own medicine. this long epistle untop my innocent question? You normal? |

article1: But how can someone choose an appointment position in place of his duely elected position, what if paradventure anything happens and the president decide to disengage him? Just asking, anyway... what is a senator to a minister talk less of a house of rep member? A Nigerian senator has no single power or influence in govt except when they are in group as in the full senate sitting or committees. If given the opportunity all the senators will terminate their senate positions to become a minister. |

Penguin2: Lol
They are begging him because without him and Kwankwaso, Tinubu has lost the north.
And when you consider that Tinubu does not have the support of Southeast and Southsouth, you would realize that it practically means the end of the road for Tinubu if there is ever going to be a rerun.
When Tinubu and his Agbado corn eaters were going ballistic against Igbos, they never thought of the consequences it portended. They even said that Southeast had no electoral value all because they believed they had the north.
But look at everything falling like a pack of card before their very eyes in less than 3 months. see the way you carry the matter for head. Abeg which re run you dey talk about? |

FreeStuffsNG: Please tell me which nation in the world is not battling with electricity in the world. Smh.
Just like most nations, we are not battling with electricity in the whole spectrum. UK for months now has had most electricity companies folding up and returning their licenses to their regulator Ofgen.Try and read to understand and not be too quick in lamenting.
For years now, we produce more electricity than we need by the time you add all forms of energy we generate and use in all electricity generators nationwide but electricity is more than generation.
We produce even more electricity than we need but some zones are not investing in such critical sector and for that reason the electricity transmission and distribution is not efficient. Imagine if Anambra had invested the money Mr Obi sank in a beer-making International Breweries plc to prepare ahead for this kind of opportunity.
Just to enact laws for state electricity market, it is just a handful of 3 states ,Kaduna,Edo and Lagos, have state framework for their electricity market yet state legislators of most states can do the job. That's why it's not just to lament and go. Understand the issues and suggest if you have anything to offer. you don use English confuse yourself, and people even like your post o When in history has Nigeria ever produced more electricity than it needs? 4 000mw since 1990s? Why mentioning UK when football view centers, welding shops, barbing shops do not use generators in Benin, Togo and Ghana? |
