after getting COS is to make an application for a visa depending on the category eg skilled worker visa.
Then you need tb report from IOM in Lagos or Abuja, and also might need police report if your job involves dealings with vulnerable people.
Go on and apply.

No you can obtain Naric instead. Slightly cheaper but can take longer. All you need is a copy of your transcript, certificate and letter from school stating you were taught in English.

Yes, they can travel together. No problem at all, as long as you make provisions for where you will live on landing, a home or hotel till you are able to rent

Has long as it's not stated on your CAS(as condition you must meet). However most schools don't require IELTS

There's also another thread somewhere for people already living in the UK, many of whom are likely to be on Tier 2 visas, so that is probably where you will get more and better responses to any questions you want to ask.
