Romance / Can You Get An STD From Kissing? by Thoughtfeed: 12:24pm On Jan 26, 2020 |
Only certain sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are transmittable through kissing. Two common ones are herpes simplex virus (HSV) and cytomegalovirus (CMV). Kissing can be one of the most exciting parts of a relationship. But you may also feel wary of kissing if you’re with someone for the first time. The best way to avoid getting an STD from kissing is to have a direct, transparent conversation about it with your partner. This can be intimidating, but setting boundaries early can help you avoid infection. Source https://www.healthline.com/health/sexually-transmitted-diseases/std-from-kissing |
Romance / Can Precum Cause Pregnancy? by Thoughtfeed: 12:14pm On Jan 26, 2020 |
What is precum? Precum is the pre-ejaculate fluid that can be released from the penis during sexual stimulation. Precum prepares/lubricates the urethra for ejaculation. The more lubricated the urethra, the easier it should be for sperm to make it out of a person’s body. Precum also acts as additional lubricant during sex. The amount of precum that is released varies from person-to-person. So the amount that you produce normally is whatever is normal for you and your body. Can precum cause pregnancy? Precum itself should not contain any sperm and can therefore not cause pregnancy on its own. However, an earlier ejaculation (either from sex, masturbation, etc.) may leave some leftover sperm in the urethra. This sperm can get flushed out by precum (aka, the precum would then contain sperm), and together would have a chance to cause pregnancy. Urinating can flush out any leftover sperm in the urethra. If people do this before having sex, then there should be no sperm in the urethra to be flushed out instead by the precum. While this is how bodies generally work, results of some studies indicate that a percentage of people do unavoidably leak sperm into their precum. Even in cases where sperm does end up in precum, the risk of pregnancy from this does still tend to be low. Withdrawal/Pulling Out is still an effective method of preventing pregnancy (96% with perfect use). More info about withdrawal can be found here: Link. Whether or not somebody can get pregnancy also depends on if they’ve ovulated or not. For more info on understanding when someone is at greater risk for pregnancy, check out our post on What is Risk: Link. Can you contract an STI from precum? Yes, you can contract an STI from precum. The glands that produce precum can be subjected to bacterial and viral STIs and any precum that is produced has a risk of transmitting the STI. 1 Like |

Crime / Some Yahoo Boys’ Mothers Will Be Sent To Prison – Police Chief by Thoughtfeed: 1:48pm On Nov 25, 2019 |
The Deputy Commissioner in-charge of the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yaba, DCP Yetunde Longe has disclosed that more internet fraudsters and possibly their mothers will be sent to prison if found guilty after prosecution. She disclosed this on Wednesday on a morning show programme on Lagos Television (LTV) while reacting to the news making rounds in the media that yet to be identified women have formed an ‘Association of Yahoo Boys’ Mothers’. According to Longe, for now, the ‘Association of Yahoo Boys’ Mothers’ is still an hear-say until police investigation reveals that there is truth in it. “And if it turns out to be true and its proven that they are in any way involved or provided any form of support to the crime, that makes them accomplices and co-conspirators where which they will be made to face the full wrath of the law,” he added. She, however, applauded the Lagos Commissioner of Police, CP Zubairu Muazu on his continuous and relentless effort in making sure cyber crime becomes a thing of the past in Lagos Source: https://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2019/11/07/some-yahoo-boys-mothers-will-be-sent-to-prison-police-chief/

Crime / 7 Enugu Yahoo Yahoo Boys Sent To Prison by Thoughtfeed: 1:30pm On Nov 25, 2019 |
Justice Ibrahim Buba of the Federal High Court Enugu today sentenced seven internet fraudsters to various jail terms. Among them is one Alex Chibundu who was sentenced to a month imprisonment on one count charge bordering on obtaining by false pretence. Chibundu, alias Bentley Diego in September 2019 allegedly attempted to defraud unsuspecting persons with the account name “Bentley Diego” on Facebook. The charge against him reads,” That you Alex Chibundu in September, 2019 in Enugu within the jurisdiction of this Honourable court, fraudulently presented yourself as Bently Diego, and using Facebook account with intent to obtain money from unsuspecting victims on the internet and thereby committed an offence contrary to Sections 22(3)(b) and punishable under sections 22(4) of the Cybercrimes( Prohibition Prevention, etc ) Act, 2015. The defendant pleaded guilty when the charge was read to him. Consequently, his counsel, A C Agu pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy as his client has become repentant and promised never to return to crime. The judge, having reviewed the facts of the case, convicted and sentenced the defendant to one month imprisonment starting from October 15, 2019 when he was arrested. He is also to forfeit a Samsung phone and the sum of $18 USD recovered from him. Also delivering judgment on a separate charge, Justice Buba convicted and sentenced one Ezirim Onyekachi to three months in prison on one count charge bordering on obtaining by false pretence. The charge reads,” that you, Ezirim Onyekachi sometime in September, 2019 at Enugu, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court fraudulently impersonated one Daniel Walter and sales manager of Samsung, with the intent to gain advantage for yourself and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 22(3)(a) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition , Prevention etc ) Act , 2015 and punishable under the same Act”. Crime / 200 Yahoo Boys Arrested In October – EFCC by Thoughtfeed: 1:22pm On Nov 25, 2019 |
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), said it recorded no fewer than 200 arrests of Internet fraud suspects, popularly known as ‘Yahoo Boys’, in October alone. The Acting Chairman of the commission, Mr Ibrahim Magu, stated this at an interactive session with newsmen on Friday in Abuja. According to Magu, the biggest catch of the commission was Instagram celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha, a.k.a Mompha, and his Lebanese accomplice, Hamza Koudeih. He said the suspects, who were “kingpins of an Organised Cyber Syndicate Network (OCSN)”, allegedly laundered a total of N33 billion. Magu said: “Five wristwatches valued at over N60 million were recovered from Mompha at the point of arrest. “Investigation has also revealed that he operates 51 bank accounts in Nigeria with which he acquired properties in Dubai and had laundered about N14 billion through Ismalob Global Investments Limited. “His accomplice, Koudeih, also has two firms namely: THK Services Limited and CHK properties Limited with which he has allegedly laundered about N19 billion. “Koudeih lives in a five million dollar per annum suite at the Eko Atlantic Pearl Tower, Victoria Island Lagos.’’ The EFCC boss said the arrests underscored the agency’s commitment to the fight against corruption and economic crime. He added that there were also clear messages to “high end fraudsters that they can only run, but cannot hide, sooner than later, we will get them”. “The effort to flush out all fraudsters continues. At the same time, we will sustain the tempo of vigorous prosecution of fraud cases in court. “Indeed, fraudsters account for a huge percentage of the 890 convictions that has been recorded by the commission this year. “A number of assets have been seized, while victims have also enjoyed restitution by order of court,” he said. While noting that the battle “is far from being won”, the anti-corruption czar renewed his appeal for the support of stakeholders, especially the media, for the commission. Magu said the youths, who were mostly involved in cyber fraud, needed sensitisation to the consequences of their actions not only to their future but to the nation’s image and economy. He restated the commission’s resolve to rehabilitate those ready to turn a new leaf, and help them to put their skills to good use. “The youth must learn the virtues of integrity and hard work as the path to sustainable wealth. “They must realise that crime does not pay; rather it will destroy their prospects and ruin their chances of decent living. “For those who are remorseful and prepared to turn a new leaf, the commission is fully disposed to help in channeling their energies and cyber skills to positive venture. “We are considering a policy that will help in the rehabilitation of convicted, but repentant internet fraudsters. “This is to ensure that their skills are positively applied in helping to build a better Nigerian society,” Magu said.
