When one was being 'justifiably' cynical with the utterances and proposals of this goverment many innocently labeled one as unduly critical of the government. When you encounter professional duplicitous liars and destructive elements the like of whom should never be allowed to run a Video Rental Shop, one is able to tell from their words, actions, and the innate evil convictions that they so often betray. These people derive joy and delight in deceit! The post below was made on July 13 2017, 2 years into the administration and instead of moving forward from that point we appear to have moved decidedly back. 8 Likes

At major bus stops you have up to 8 agberos each collecting N50 from the driver. This repeats itself in the evening. They make returns appropriately. Interesting thoughts.... However, assuming the The scenario is one in which a hitherto balanced media has now been compromised is faulty. Outside of pre-independence media houses, most if not all were set up to spew curated content which favours the ideology of the promoters of the media House (implicit promoter and explicit promoters). This in itself is not illegal as there are many partisan media houses all over the world. It is the pretense of positioning themselves as neutral media houses while clearly being partisan or cash motivated that is deceitful and unethical. 1 Like |

Lagos is broken!! This confirms the suspicion that LASG may have been inflating its IGR figures since 2015! Why? 1. The state is more attractive to lenders that way (you'd be surprised how many key projects in the State are funded by the World Bank). 2. LASG can only increase IGR (via taxes etc) if it's generally assumed that the State is financially solid. Who gives more money to a broke heavily mismanaged business? Notice that the basis of increasing Land Use Charge is that "we have been utilising your money well (?) and investing heavily in infrastructure (4 bridges and inner city roads" 22 Likes 1 Share

desgiezd:Ideally, this wouldn't be an issue if the monies actually end up in government and not individual pockets. It costs money to steal money in a democratic system however flawed. For every evacuation of funds from the public purse an SPV is used to give a semblance of legitimacy. This SPV has private (commercial) investors and they will lose money.
