jaxxy:What requirements did he not meet? |
ContentedMan:Who has been assasinated or bombed by the government? |
drawingbook:Is that not the same mentality that Yusuf Datti-Ahmed has been displaying since losing the last presidential election with his principal, Peter Obi? Did he not just recently declare that the military should have prevented the swearing in of this current government, and goading the military that they are above the law as regards the recent spat between the FCT Minister and the military officer turned mai guard? |
Truthissupreme:Remind us the parallel government that a state Governor Rotimi Amaechi was running as a PDP Governor while the same PDP held the Presidency of Nigeria? Was it while the same Governor was prevented from accessing his own office by the state police commissioner Mbu? Or was it with all the shenanigans that both first lady Patience Jonathan and minister of state Wicked Wike perpetrated to ensure the minority tried to impeach the majority at the state house of assembly and the Governor? Or was this parallel government because Governor Amaechi was frustrated to the point where he had to abandon the PDP to join the newly formed APC, just because he would not surrender his authority as State Governor to do whatever was dictated to him by First Lady Patience Jonathan? Pray tell, what actions by a Governor that was being severely humiliated by the federal government and his own party (PDP) and eventual former party (still PDP), could have been misconstrued by you as an act of parallel government against your beloved President Jonathan who could never stand up to the insecurity that plagued his regime, but had all the resources to ridicule a State Governor and his political opponents? |
Omihanifa:That loser has been over ignored for too long to the point that he is feeling invincible and clearly calling for a military intervention. Considering that there has been an alleged military coup in the offing that was neutralised, it is time to go hard on anarchists like him. He is the one that has played into the hand of government, and it would be foolish if he his not put where he belongs now. |
Bentacur007:Anyone can be arrested if they so put themselves in a position that requires it. |
President Tinubu is too cool with those that should have long been incarcerated. Imagine the lawlessness from Yussuf Datti-Ahmed? According to a security source on Friday night, “A few days ago, Baba-Ahmed was on national television blaming the judiciary and the military for allowing the swearing-in of President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima. He even went to the length of inciting the military that it was President Tinubu’s swearing-in that made it possible for them to look you in the face and call you ‘bloody fools’.”They allowed this loser to bite to the point where he felt anything goes. He should be criminally charged to court. Any civilian government that allows politicians to incite anarchy and invite military dictatorship, should blame itself when the military seize the opportunity to strike. If I was President, this Datti-Ahmed will never taste freedom again until he is criminally convicted for treason. |
ottersberger:The guy unravelled your weird mindset as an Igbo who would settle for anything but Yoruba, then you became confused about your own opinion. What a sad situation the Igbos have found themselves in the Nigeria political space. |
Omoawoke:Our government is useless. Our security architecture in this 21st century has been useless since it is still operating like the 1980s. Falz has asked the right questions. How many terrorists were killed or captured to ensure the rescue/release of the hostages? Have they debriefed the released hostages to get information about the location and modus operandi of these terrorists? |
FreeStuffsNG:It is not an ocean but a lagoon, that is why it is still and without waves. Expansion of the little parcel of land between the Marina and the lagoon effectively created a new Marina that was not so named, and made the current Marina a false description. Broad Street is behind the cathedral, hence behind the Marina. |
emkz:They were in hiding and too scared for their own lives at the mercy of Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB terrorists group. Now they have come out from their safe haven after the Buhari regime ensured to obliterate the hold that IPOB had on the emasculated Igbos. |
IGBOPROMISE1:Is Igboland not free from the nuisance of IPOB today? |
Abujainside:You are the shameless one if you think a terrorist should not be prosecuted and jailed because he is Igbo. Those who died from his terror activities did not die for nothing. 1 down, more to follow suit. |
truthera:There is nothing illegal or unjust about the judgement of Nnamdi Kanu, so give it a rest already and stop forcing influential Igbos to identify with a terrorist that also wanted to forcefully make himself the leader of Igbos. A megalomaniac terrorist like Nnamdi kanu that caused the death of many igbos and Nigerian security agents, belongs in a dungeon. Other terrorists in Nigeria would also join him there as he has joined others there. |
Only useless human beings will say that a riff-raff unrepentant terrorist should be afforded priviledges that include mercy. |
Did Nnamdi Kanu listen to anyone of those you now blame when he was riding the wave of his popularity and barking out threats at everyone even while he was out on bail? Does Peter Obi or any Igbo politician owe Kanu anything for the anarchy he inflicted on the SouthEast that led to many deaths and destruction? |
Berankis:No one truly realises the enormity of Nigeria’s problems (security, electricity, infrastructural needs, healthcare) until they get to power. But 2years is enough to get it right with security if the courage to do the needful is applied wirgout any concerns about the political outcomes. |
Who replaces world-class physicians with herbal storytellers during brain surgery?Truth be told, Ejiofor craftily navigated the legal proceedings to ensure that the case would be scuttled rather than concluded, because he knew well enough that the verdict would be guilty. On that note, he really tried for his client since 2015. |
On the delayed appointment of ambassadors, the minister said President Tinubu was already finalising the list, adding that the nominees were undergoing security vetting.Whose fault is it if we do not have ambassadors to properly engage our international partners? President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is solely to blame. He embraced some of the rubbish that Buhari introduced, like taking forever to name his cabinet and also to appoint new ambassadors after relieving the previous ones from their duty. It is a show of unseriousness that was never expected from his government. |
chiagozien:I see you have no sound response where you cannot blame Yoruba for your woes. |
chiagozien:How was the terrorist unjustly convicted? Was Simon Ekpa also unjustly convicted in Finland? |
Conviction of criminals after due prosecution would not aggravate anything. We must stop glorifying riff-raffs and must stop pampering threats to our freedoms and peace. Except we are truly a disgraced country where anything goes and there are no consequences for violence, anarchy, vandalism, terrorism, murder. Nnamdi Kanu is where he belongs and many more will meet him there as he had met others there. The ones not so lucky to be caught alive will meet them on the other side. |
It is evident that our military leadership and government do not know what to do or need to be compelled to take the drastic actions they have been avoiding. I very much welcome the attention that America and Trump are focusing on a truly disgraceful and shameful country that has failed to protect its own citizens from local terrorism since the past 15years. A useless country where police and military news regale us with tales of how they engaged attackers and managing to kill only a few and chasing the rest of them into the bushes with presumably gunshot injuries, but same police and military men then return to their bases as though the threat has been neutralised? Tinubu is currently failing in providing security for the country, but has time to conclude without failure as his verdict. This is not the time for sentiments or politics, this is time for merciless vengeance. |
Afriifa:Yes it can. |
Did those people tell you they support IPOB and its menace? Why are you expecting them to speak over a criminal prosecution of a terrorist? Is it because he is Igbo as you love to lament? 1 terrorist down, many more to be put away. |
Outthemudbyvoke:You identified the same problem that you suffer from. They see their own menace as their brothers that should be left alone. You also betray the same sentiments in seeing the terrorists called Nnamdi Kanu as someone who should be left alone. Same disease, different hosts being ravaged by their own sentiments rather that embrace the needed remedy. |
njokuuche77:Very true. The Nigerian government is always too slow to react. |
princeade86:If there is a reason to do so upon proper verification of the information, why is that a problem? |
The North is doomed and I say this with all objectivity. The North doomed itself and must not be allowed to doom any other region of the country. The military should unleash the full force of its arsenal now that the whole world is asking questions. A full frontal assualt that would obliterate both human shield and terrorists. Anyone who objects or constitutes a nuisance over the military operations in the North must be viewed as an enemy of the state and promptly put where others would learn from. Do not make the mistake of trying to rescue anyone, we have already failed them by allowing them to be taken in the first instance. Trying to save them would only weaken the resolve to overrun the terrorists. |
DomPerignon:It is hard to convince the Igbo that anyone loves them. I believe they thrive on their own hate that is reflected back to them. There should be rejoicing in the SouthEast that the menace of IPOB was crushed. |
Truthissupreme:As laughable as it sounds, that experience as Governor of a bandit ravaged state should have become a very handy tool kit to help the government face the problem squarely, instead it has become of no use. The Defence minister is also a former Governor of Jigawa, both are in a position of authority over the military operations going on to combat terrorists that are wrongly addressed as bandits. |
