Miseducated Nigerians forming educated but spewing ignonrance. How many times do we tell these pea-brained fellows that a Minister's appointment is political and administrative, not technical. Only the Minister of Justice that serves as the Attorney General, need to be someone legally equipped for the role to be played. No other minister must be professionally qualified for the discipline the ministry is focused on. And this is a global reality, but ignorant Nigerians continue to insist that a minister must be something beyond what it is designed to be. |
MrGerald:You should be happy that the bigotry of the North allowed Buhari to disregard the threats facing his own Katsina to focus on the also valid threats posed by IPOB. Today, Igboland is free from the menace and terror of IPOB but Katsina is under siege by its own terrorists. Be grateful for the peace that Buhari inadvertently enforced in the SouthEast while failing his people. All terrorists anywhere in Nigeria must be put out or put down. |
Richtaiwo:Those people are a disgrace to education. Same way Simon Ekpa never hurt a fly and was only making threats that were being executed, yet he was duly prosecuted and convicted in Finland that does not have a Yoruba President or Yoruba Judge. I repeat, the likes of gidgiddy, owobokiri, MrVitalis and the rest of the Igbo clansmen, the daughters of discord, and the children of hate, are a painful reminder that education does not succeed all times. Finally, we reconfirm what many already knew about the Igbo Obidients. They are mostly IPOB supporters. P OBI = IPOB |
He must not be allowed to commit any further crimes in Prison, being a wild and unrepentant anarchist. This is how all terrorists should be locked up or neutralised. 1 down, many more to go until Nigeria is well rid of those who want to impose chaos on the country. I wonder who Igbos blame for the criminal trial and conviction of Simon Ekpa in Finland? A people devoid of objectivity. Justice for the many Igbo security agents who were killed in Igboland. Justice for the many Igbo civilians who were killed by the chaos and anarchy that Nnamdi Kanu midwifed. Thanks to the Nigerian government that prevented the anarchy that Kanu attempted to inflict on the SouthEast. Imagine the breakdown of law and order that would have engulfed the SouthEast if the Buhari regime had not stepped in to eradicate IPOB's terror and grip on the SouthEast. There would have been no legitimate government in that section of the country at the rate Kanu was determined to impose himself and his group as the forced leaders of the Igbo people. |
owobokiri:The narratives you must have bought into is stemming from your own delusions that an anarchist and terrorist like Nnamdi Kanu is worthy of some presidential amnesty as though we must pamper terrorists in Nigeria. Why should men of goodwill be concerned about the lawful criminal conviction of a riff-raff terrorist called Nnamdi Kanu? Are Igbos incapable of logical arguments without capitulating to their ethnic biases? Or how do you explain a correlation between a terrorist's lawful trial and whatever it is that happened to Abiola decades ago? Why does anyone's hands need to be forced over a recently concluded legal matter that allows the convict the opportunity of appeal that will not change the compelling evidence already presented by the prosecution? Kanu is now a past tense shackled to the dungeon where his type belong. On to the next terrorist that need to be put down. |
The North is the problem of the North and the solution to the problem of the North. Tinubu should declare a state of emergency in all the states affected and remove the governors and replace them with retired military administrators for a 1yr term. Also restrict movement in all the affected states. |
We should not be showing mercy to terrorists. Were the military couple shown any mercy at the hands of IPOB terrorists? Did IPOB show any mercy to the countless policemen and other government security agents that have been killed in Igboland? Was Dr Chike Akunyili shown any mercy when his face was blown apart? |
horlando30:Exactly! I see no Nigerian midfield this 2nd half. Just kicking the ball with long volleys into the opponent's half of the field. This Nigerian team have no business at the world cup. |
correctguy101:https://www.nairaland.com/8562001/uk-based-nigerian-jailed-collecting In addition to the fraudulent practice in the above link that was promptly penalized, many Nigerians like him do worse in Nigeria and complain that the country is useless and hopeless. Do we talk about those who are employed in government agencies and departments but never report to duty, yet collect monthly salaries? Are they not also part of the Nigerian professionals who japa only to go commit the same abroad like the doctor? Corrupt Nigeria police no dey japa? The ones who bypass their electrical meter no dey japa? |
Mindlog:But I assure you that not a few have resigned from such high paying jobs in Nigeria to go be at the bottom of the society in foreign countries. |
Many bankers are criminally minded. Many who made it without being caught are today celebrated as doyens of the banking industry. |
“This case demonstrates a clear and deliberate abuse of trust by an NHS professional who knowingly breached the conditions of his employment for personal gain. By working additional on-call and night shifts, despite being unfit to do so, Akinrolabu defrauded the NHS of substantial funds that should have supported patient care.He thought he was in Nigeria where anything goes. |
adamkkk:It is partly a mindset problem. Give some of them well paid jobs in Nigeria, they will rather choose to flip burgers and drive trucks abroad, just so they can pose in a winter jacket and head warmer. |
Validated:You are comparing a tout and agbero to a commissioned officer who passed all necessary training and rose to be a Major General while also holding all notable leadership roles in the military and political military? The certificate forger you refer to is a well known alumnus of the tertiary institutions he attended in the USA, with both picture and academic evidence of his scholarship in that institution. An Accounting technocrat who rose to become Treasurer at Mobil Oil of Nigeria that is today known as ExxonMobil. He has been a Senator, 2 term Governor of the most complex and economically vibrant state in Nigeria, a party leader who contributed political expertise that kept the democratic opposition alive for many years - something we now realise many still miss him when compared to the current rudderless opposition without patience or strategy. Those who Japa are not in anyway academically or professionally superior to those who have become Governors and Senators and Ministers and Presidents in this same failed country. We have had Phd holders in political government, Professors, Medical Doctors, Senior Lawyers, Engineers etc and you want to paint a picture that they are touts and agberos, in order to make the ones who did not succeed in Nigeria feel good about their economic refugee status in foreign lands. Only professionals have ruled this country and you will not excuse them from blame that should be borne by all whether they are within or now without. Those who shamelessly celebrate their new citizenship are part of the failure that is Nigeria even in their own general followership and leadership in their little stations of authority while in Nigeria. |
Validated:Which touts are running the country? The politicians today were not professionals yesterday with work in both public and private sector? Stop fooling yourself that some innocent professionals have to japa because touts and agberos are running the country. The touts and agbero are still in the gutters and it is the very professionals you want to glorify and acquit that are running this country aground with their greed and lack of foresight, despite all the foreign exposure they have. |
Putindbutt:Tinubu is ready to work with anyone even if they previously stood in opposition of his political ambitions. Marilyn Ogar was only a spokesperson for a DSS that was a political tool of Goodluck Jonathan. She was not the head of DSS. |
I always shame when I see Nigerians celebrating this. Many of them are not innocent in the decay and disgrace that is Nigeria. Only difference is they are now in a country that will not tolerate what is tolerated in Nigeria. Even if I have to take up such "shameful" course of action, it would be in quiet and private, nothing to celebrate in an economic refugee return to the same places ones ancestors did everything to escape captivity and slavery. |
Is the headline deliberately misleading? He is factually asserting that it has become difficult over the years for European teams to get to the world cup while African participation has trippled since 1994. Meanwhile for South America with few countries, the majority of countries in that continent get to participate. |
Peter Obi is right on this one. We have a knack for wasteful spending in our government. |
Hold down that is leading to separation and divorce? Pa Ned might be right afterall. |
markidoo:Does the Nigerian police establish wrong doing before they begin to arrest and prosecute? Nigeria police that is bereft of commonsense? |
OGwales:Exactly! I laugh when I see bills being passed trying to tackle sexual assualt and exploitation without any provisions being made for the false accusations of those crimes. |
If only you know how many men have been destroyed by false accusations bordering on sexual crimes. Imagine she is now being charged on a mere case of defamation, when if the man had been convicted in a Lagos court, it would have been life imprisonment? |
The peoblem with Nigeria is that no one is willing to do their respective jobs qith the level of commitment, patriotism and sacrifice that it requires. That is why we have these myriad of problems everywhere. Nigeria has long been a failed country with a very weak government, civil service, and security service/legal system. The consequences of the weak security service/legal system is why we have witnessed the loss of control in the last 15years. |
Adaisback:Hypocrisy is the problem of Nigeria. |
AMINDA:Are your so called publicly available facts a crime or a good development? Just asking to know if you mean well for Nigeria |
Bahamas95:Those are terrorists also and they must face the law. That they are not facing elimination and the law is why the North is today a lost cause. |
A country where hundreds of its citizens can be continuously murdered and villages sacked and ransacked by a rag-tag band of nomadic terrorists ad infinitum, without any effective response by the police force, while the military is also inept to neutralise the enemies within, is already a failed and disgraced nation. |
Any Nigerian who says Nnamdi Kanu is not a terrorist and did not lead a terrorist group and did not commit any crime, that Nigerian is a waste of matter. All terrorists must be apprehended and they must face the law. |
