First, Money to hold while coming is a general question and it has been explained in past post, money to hold varies and depending on your life style but say for lefkosa where you might be staying , for house rent let’s say 117 pounds multiply 6 rents 2 deposit and 1 commission that’s 117 pounds x 9 for your next 6 months stay, monthly bills like electricity and water usage will varies as well while internet might be fixed depending on package you are and number of persons in the house , hopefully 50$ should cover the bill if you guys are moderate and take note winter will be around soon and more electric consumption so the price might go up , try carry some winter cloth from Nigeria though and for feeding again it’s all still varies from life style and eating habit. In all I think 200$ should do and you can make your adjustments while you settle in . CIU offers nursing but you said you got adminsion already

If you have applied for admission yourself through the university website; you will notice that each university have international office which often have email addresses and phone contact. The staffs of the international office are trained to answer inquiries of prospective foreign students, so they are the first point of contact. You should ask them anything relating to the university.

This is Nairaland ( a public forum where people ask general questions; the answers here will only be correct if the person responding works at the concerned university).

Go ahead and contact CIU for your specific questions that’s how a prospective international student should do and act. If you have applied through an agent, you can still ask the agent if such person can provide detailed information.

Actually all my students I booked first week-second week October as classes start by 12 October...

Note: one of my graduate students flew in from Chile Last Thursday as she must start a funded research project this month ...she had no issues and currently in quarantine at assigned location by the uni.


I will give you head-on next week if I have meetings with those immigration and university...
