Highest hat could likely happen is the engine gasket getting burnt if you drove it with belt and that means fans won't work, so it will lead to overheat

No the engine hasn't been worked on since we bought it......maybe we should do that

My Toyota Corolla alternator belt cut while on motion. The place was the bad place so I couldn't stop then I rugged the car to almost reach house before he come pack up. Then it's not starting again . Later the mechanic say the engine don loose pressure na to buy another one

What’s the condition of your engine oil and radiator coolant/water? Do they look normal? Do their level change with time? Do you add coolant to the radiator frequently? Is your engine oil level at the usual guage?

The oil has been reducing little by little and the water na everyday I dey top am...... sometimes it can overheat while driving..... I'll have to wait and open the radiator and refill

It has heated before but didn't damage anything,the fan stopped working. So it melted the radiator seal under then we replaced the seal. Since then sha the heating issues has started.....the coolant is fine(water), the engine oil colour seems normal.

My honda civic is having heating issues....the temperature gauge rises after prolonged driving or after driving with the AC on full blast for long.
Also if I start the car and open the radiator there are bubbles there.

Good morning house, I got a Corolla from an uncle 2010 model. I'll be using it for bolt and indriver so I have the following questions..

With hard of working 6:30 to 8-9pm can I make around 20k as my gain after bolt/indriver commission and fuel?

Is it still lucrative as it used to be?

Will it be worth it using the car for bolt/indriver as am not doing anything for a while and can I save 100k weekly?

I heard weekends are the best time to earn more Friday through Sunday how true is this??

I empathize with you on all the stress you went and are going through...and note that it's not important for a thread to hut the front page before you get reasonable answers.

This type of case is quite familiar to me and has lots to do with corporate bureaucracy. The upper management are well aware of what is going on so don't think your victim card mails will lead them to sympathize with you. Infact, they are the ones egging the Area manager on. He won't push the case this far with his own money.

The objective here is the company wants their money back and will frustrate all parties involved till something breaks. They are unconcerned as #2m is a small fry to them but will rather use you as an example to others by bugging your life with court and police cases.

Don't fret though, the whole process will die a natural death. Just ready your mind for the long haul, na dem go tire. The manager will also get tired of attending court cases every fortnight. Your lawyer can also seek the prayer of the court to give later adjournment cases, transfer case to a court closer to your new residence, insecurities in travelling down to Sokoto, health conditions etc

You will smile at last

Kai that mechanic that did the engine swap for you is a very big suspect. Did he complete his training at all?

See, if these are the only 2 codes you’re getting then your issue can be solved.

1st thing is the code for your output shaft speed sensor, those sensors sometimes get worn out/bad so you might need to buy another one OR your mechanic must have not connected the harnes to its plug firmly or cut the wires mistakenly and left it like that. Tell the mechanic to check the sensor and it’s wiring first before purchasing another one. This sensor is usually found somewhere on your gearbox.

For the other code concerning your TDC sensor, well there are 3 things involved.

1. The sensor itself is bad, in which case you’d need to buy another one although this sensor seldom fails.

2. Like I said earlier your mechanic might have messed up and not connected the wires from the harness to it properly OR even cut the wires mistakenly and left it like that. Tell him to trace the wire properly to know.

3. Your timing belt/chain needs to be changed and your engines timing sequence set afresh. Maybe this issue is what made the oyibo (or whoever scrapped the engine in the first place) have the originating vehicle sold off and his engine miraculously ended up in ladipo for you to buy. This sensor is usually under the engine cover near the timing belt area of the engine.

So check the issues in the way I presented them and you should have your issues with the civic resolved.

If you do all the above and your vehicle still does it’s fuse touchy-touchy wahala then I believe it’s time for you to change your whole fusebox totally.

I returned the engine to who I bought it from so he took me to a rewire....long story short we changed the sensors up and down and the car is normal now.....but the D light is blinking.....can the speed sensor cause that? They said speed sensor no mean anything.......also I notice the car RPM needle kinda jerks when I'm just pumping the gas to cruise at a particular speed
