Lemme tease you a little with Gcam Night Sight. What about the Photo Sphere mode with the Fish Eye Effect. Superb!

This is coming late but had to respond to you. I'm sure you must have seen other Gcam samples to call it overrated. Here are some comparison for you to ponder and get yours right. NB: I had to screenshot the Gcam shot to reduce the size, so I can upload.

1st: stock cam
2nd: Gcam

Now spot the difference Bro... Still can't? Lemme help you with the most minute of all details, you see the hair parting, you see how clearly visible they are on Gcam and how dark and less visible they are on stock. Same lighting conditions for both shots. Those details and more are why Google spends fortune on their camera development algorithms. Ciao!

GrandMufti how do I go about deleting an already downloaded OTA? I haven't rebooted the device yet. I'm not facing any of the issues on the changelog except for mine being on Oct security patch. I have tapped the MiUi 11 icon severally, can't locate the three dotted, top right hand menu icon. Thanks. #RN8

Found another Gcam link on xda that seems to work well for RN8to be quite impressive. To shoot on camera mode untick NS by the right, else it closes the Gcam. It saves on phone's gallery and an additional copy on Google photos; still looking for a work around about that. It's modded for android 9. Night sight with low light ain't greenish came out nice.

When you double clicked did you use the actual config file.

Copy that XML file to the folder cameraconfigs and try again.

I have been able to load mine just as Genius43 said, though after changing it from Pixel 4XL to SSKGM1 from advance setting, I double clicked nothing happened went back to advanced you will see save xml config, tap it, go back and double click the area close to the shutter, the gcam would reload, that's all! Caveat:
Night sight shot is greenish as widely complained on XDA. It has cuttlefish and Astrophotography-would explore those features later. Have a great day Bro and thanks Genius43.

@Genius43 any idea on how to get best of Gcam for my RN8, my Bro's R8's Gcam shots are better. I'm using PMGC_7.2.014. I also created Gcam config folder but was unable to load the xml file after double tapping the dark area beside the shutter.

Official price for 3+32 is 58k in Lagos, which I presume to be same in Abia. You can also check the thread store(in-house sellers) for options. As for the camera, I'm still exploring.

Well it depends, if you are not bothered with having less memory space, app competing with your battery juice and processor, eventual reduced performance as a result of accumulated bloatware then you can leave them, if you care about the above mentioned, then you flushed them out!

Change your region to India, search for Aafont or Mobyfont, download font, restart your device and change back to Nigeria. Delete the bloatware apps that come with region switch.

Don't know if you re on Global Rom, on my Global Version, I haven't seen a single ad, I have not even switch off recommendations.

My Xiaomi journey started with a power bank. Mi 10000mAh some years back.

My second Xiaomi product was an action camera, Yi Action Camera.

When I got tired of my iPhone 5s, I bought Xiaomi Redmi 5a to test the waters.

I have been using the Redmi 5a for almost 2 years with no screen protector, case or cover.

Up till day, I don't have a crack screen after using Redmi 5a for 2 years.

Next Xiaomi product I would be using is Xiaomi Mi A3 4GB/128GB.

Some Accessories for Mi A3 are already in transit and the king itself would soon land.

I wanna rock that pure Android (Android One) device, would have settled for other Redmi Series like RN8 or RN8T, but I wanna leave MIUI interface small.

The ads in MIUI can sometimes be very annoying.

Looking at my SOT, it all but buttress what @Genius43 and @jboixxx have been saying. Monitor your apps that are power and processor hungry, they are culpable for those experiencing lower SOT. Mine without 'battery saver' still ready to go after 1d 2hrs 53mins...48% still going! #RedmiNote8MiUi11

Note 7 and note 8 is the last budget friendly phone from redmi series.

There are:Redmi Series, Redmi Note Series, Redmi K Series, Mi Series, Mi Note Series, Mi A Series, Mi CC Series etc. There are budget/entry level Redmis, Mid range Redmis and "Flagship" Redmis. So it depends on which Redmis you talking about, don't get it twisted!

Thanks but no. R7 is for wifey;it might not handle my tasks. I'm only worried about having to switch sims and SD card, as i don't want to be doing that often;coupled with the bad experience i had when an ejector pin got broken and got stuck midway in the hole, in one of the zero series of that 3-in-1 company. I'm still contempating about the mouth watery deal of 70k on Ali for the 128G variant.
