Danator: Good, that's jst what I wanted to be sure I wasn't the only one who observed that.
But why note 8 come cost pass redmi 9 wey be say na only camera wey note 8 take better pass redmi 9. That got me wondering. Not a surprise if you have been following this thread. Same thing as Redmi Note 7 and Note 8. Note 9 'gas' bring in the dollars for Lei Jun. Moreso, Note 9 is mediatek. |

Danator: So from this, do you conclude that the redmi 9 is better than the note 8 in terms of device performance? Let's keep the camera quality aside. Dude, you still asking? Of course G80 is superior to SD 665 but less optimized for mods. If you don't care much about custom roms, modification, hopping from one rom to another, kernels flashing, playing with your device os G80 it is. |

Danator: @genius43
Between the G80 used in the Redmi 9 and the SD665 on the note 8. Which is the better chip?
On the other hand, given the features on these devices, can you compare the redmi 9 to the note 8? I looked online out of curiosity but can't seem to draw a conclusion. Source: nanoreview.net

okikiosibodu: U Nah. That can't be a remedy to it... I am not complaining it is closing... I am complaining that I am not usually notified for new mails Open your mailbox, go to email settings, click on notification, select all. Make sure auto sync is on, can easily find that icon on notification drop down. If you re on battery saver, you will have to manually refresh your mailbox to see newer messages.

I tried to clear the cache of system app updater as I was instructed, but whenever I opened the system app updater, I never see any option on how it can be cleared. Pls, how can one clear the cache of the system app updater on redmi note 8? Settings>Apps>Manage apps>click the three vertical dots by the top right hand>Select show all apps>scroll and look for system app updater>click clear data>select clear cache |

Mark9854: The battery isn't defective bro, the update is 100% the cause of the battery drainage. You shouldn't have updated but now that you have, my advice is that; you accept and manage the battery life as it is and always update as soon as you get notified... Since an update caused the problem, hopefully an update will fix it. Nah not the update, the network is! The network graph has 'coat of many colors'. That sim is not what you should be using in that location of yours. Do as genius43 said. |

GrandMufti: Reflash the rom if you have the file or reboot several times You wrote sometimes ago, if one's present rom has no issue whatsoever and if the changelog of a pending update has no resolved related issues to one's rom, there's no need updating. I have been on 11.0.3, my battery is a monster and no issues at all. Though my security patch is still reading Nov, I'm only waiting for the 2nd update of Android 10 before I update. |

TrebleChamp: Yea me too when i downloaded it, sadly no call recorder for now. Something about EU regulation ish, Xiaomi did promise to bring it back before the end of the year though. I was only curious to see if the call recorder feature would be present. I know about the EU regulations. I have never used a call recorder before I rather cherish screen recorder to the latter, I'm used to dialer not recording. Rocking the Google dialer. |
