I am a Christian and also a Nigerian from Nasarawa State here is my view to your post

Our kingdom as Christians is not here on earth but we hope for a new heaven



Any Christian can vote as they are led. I vote for GEJ and am proud of my choice despite the fact that he losses the election.

The Bible reports that spiritual darkness has covered the earth and gross darkness has enveloped the people of this world.

" For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people..." Isaiah 60:2

Consequently, all human beings are born and raised to live under the spiritual darkness as their natural way of life. This understanding may likely have informed this prayer of the Psalmist:

"Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked. And reproved their negligence
They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course" Psalms 82:4-5

Darkness is synonymous with oppression, bondage, and evil. Where there is darkness, the truth is hidden. It is the environment and state that harbors ignorance, suspicion, insecurity, doubt, fear, anxiety, strife, deception, and oppression.

All such traits of wickedness work together in harmony wherever darkness rules. On account of darkness that has engrossed the earth, this world lies in wickedness.

"And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness." 1 John 5:19

Right from the beginning , the problem of this earth has been connected to this darkness:

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." Gen. 1:1-2

Two types of darkness plagued the earth even then. One was spiritual darkness and the other physical. However, as a matter of priority, God first handled the spiritual darkness.

This tells us that the physical darkness was only an aspect of the chaos caused by spiritual darkness. God handled the problem of this darkness with light.

"And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day." Gen. 1:3-5

It was on the fourth day that he tackled the problem of physical darkness on the earth.

"And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day." Gen. 1:14-19

In each case, God's consistent approach was to introduce the appropriate kind of light in order to check, police, arrest, and eliminate the particular type of darkness. Light is only the weapon or instrument God has introduced to us as a weapon that can be used to dispel darkness. However big, sophisticated, expensive and impressive the advanced solution may be, it is useless against darkness as long as it is not light.

On the other hand, light will make notable difference to any problem of darkness, however small the light is.

Darkness and light can never coexist. They can never be in agreement. There is no fellowship between light and darkness ( 2 Cor 6:14). There can be no basis of compromise between them.
Light and darkness are permanent opposites and eternal enemies. Spiritual darkness only thrives where there is no spiritual light. For wherever there is light there can be no darkness.

In the continuing battle to redeem the earth, the overthrow and elimination of spiritual darkness remains our primary focus. Therefore, in our calling to serve the purpose of God on earth, the light of light is a must for every child of God.

For spiritual light is the only guaranteed antidote against every form of expression, manifestation, operation, and menace of spiritual darkness.

It is only as we bear spiritual light that we can effectively hinder the works of spiritual darkness.

It is only then that we ourselves can enjoy the liberty of a lifestyle of consistent holiness, while living in the midst of a sinful, perverse, and adulterous generation.

It is also as we operate in the light that we can effectively destroy the works of darkness, as we conduct our daily affairs according to the will of God.

I have heard many cases of God's word preachers who have been killed, slaughtered and brutally mutilated while preaching or on other duties in respect to biblical God's commandment. Many were burnt alive while withing the church premises praying and praising God, many captured and were easily slaughtered, many were captured within their own house, raped and eventually killed and many more cases like that.

Seriously, all these occurrences left me with one critical question that has been dominating my mind for years, that why would God keep silent while such horrific murder is being unleashed on his consistent servant ? Why can't God, weather spiritually or physically, prevent such tragedy, to at least encourage other worshipers and consolidate the believe that God is truly mighty as it is being claimed. Preventing such tragedy, to me, has the efficacy of preventing many people from waking up one day and start thinking at all weather God exist or not.
Should we say our so called popular pastors, knows that there is no divine assistance they can enjoy while facing assassinating temptation and that is why most of them move all around with sophisticated security outfit...

I beg, rational whosiper should come to my rescue in answering this question ooo...
