Collecting Tithe and offering is a form of unbelief to God

Most all believers think of unbelief, not as a sin but as a weakness. And therefore they don't learn to hate unbelief as they hate other sins.

But the Bible speaks of an unbelieving heart as an EVIL heart (He. 3: 12) Jesus rebuked His disciples seven times for unbelief. (See Mt. 6:30; 8:26; 14:31; 16:8; 17:17-20; Mk.16:14; Lk.24:25). It seems that He almost never rebuked His disciples for anything else!!

Unbelief is an insult to God, because it implies that God does not care or provide for His children even as much as evil fathers on earth care and provide for their children.

There is also a counterfeit faith being preached these days, as a means of getting things from God. But that is not the faith that Jesus preached. He wanted us to have faith to live by, in our daily life. Victory over depression, bad moods and discouragement can come only as we have faith in a loving Father in heaven and in the wonderful promises He has given us in His Word.

Twice we read of Jesus being amazed - once when he saw FAITH and once when He saw UNBELIEF!! (Mt. 8:10; Mk. 6:6). Jesus was excited whenever He saw faith in people. And He was disappointed when He saw people unwilling to trust in a loving Father in heaven.

Most Pastors today believe in their members pocket not God, I can boldly tell you that Gbile Akani is a good example for any Christian today, Zac Ponnem and their likes not Pastors like the one you saw in that video who will even tell you to attack a Fulani man for attacking you or like Pastor Suleman or Apostle Suleman they are NOT an example for any serious Christian

So first.. Tithing is a major pillar of Christianity in Nigeria, born again Christians are advised to tithe for the "propagation of the gospel" and for "food to be in the house of the lord" and those who don't are deemed to have "robbed" God.

There has been a major ethical battle over the question
"should we still tithe?".

The answer is YES!!

If you believe in the Bible you should tithe, except if you don't believe in the old testament which alot of us quote our prayer points from and now what is a tithe?

"A tithe basically is an offering of 1/10 (10%) of your monthly earning for the glorification of the name of God."

Now to the most important question which we have neglected all along

" how should we tithe?"

Pastors have asked us to bring 10% financial proceeds of all our activities as our tithe to be put in the house of the lord and to be handled by the church, although the Bible said it should be our harvest (food, livestock etc) but this is understood giving the fact that current world is devoid of such activities in large numbers and as such our harvest is now in form of money.

But what if our Pastors have been wrong?

YES!! OUR PASTORS WERE WRONG
According to the Bible.. All what you have been told is but a sham and as much as we hate to admit it "the mad man, freeze was right"

The laws to guide the children of Israel were fully stated in the book of deuteronomy.
This was where the word "tithe" was explained and here is what deuteronomy 14 vs 22-26 says

"Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
[23] And thou shalt eat before the Lord thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the Lord thy God always.
[24] And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the Lord thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the Lord thy God hath blessed thee: [25] Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the Lord thy God shall choose:
[26]And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the Lord thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household"

For short what this means is that
1. Your tithe is supposed to be eaten by you but in the house of God.
2. If the house of God is too far from you, you can sell your tithe and buy anything you want. (sex not mentioned tho)
3. Alcohol is also approved by the Bible (contrary to current belief).

But how do the Pastors and priests feed?
It is answered in vs 27 to 29 where is says

"[27]And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.
[28] At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:
[29] And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest"

Which means
1. The tithe you give to pastors and the church comes ONCE IN THREE YEARS.
2. It is not meant for Pastors alone but strangers, widows, fatherless and the poor (also contrary to the belief that one shouldn't use his or her tithe for alms).

So there you have it.. What do you think? Should we follow the Bible or follow our Pastors? Should we disregard the old testament totally given we are living under grace or should we tithe the right way?.

From your post, you can't say Jesus didn't Tithe...forhe was a Jew and kept the law.

Also, tithing predates the law. OP was just setting the records straight into contrast to daddy freeze.
