Hello house, anybody has any idea what the working conditions are over there and how’s the pay for an admin staff?

If you reside in Lagos, it’s not bad. You might still need to organise accommodation closer to the refinery though…

Salary is just “okay”, manageable. If you don’t have any option it’s a good one.

NCC 2.5? NCC cannot be that amount. That there is a red flag �! PAYMENT AFTER APL & DOCUMENTATION.

People don get Apl, I know someone that got Apl 2 Mondays ago… It’s all connect. If your connect sure, tomorrow you fit see yourself for NCC dey document. It all comes down to your connect.

NCC has 6 zonal offices around Nigeria, if you can’t get the head quarters (Abuja) which other will you go for. Lagos, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Kano, Ibadan. And how good at they compared to HQ, I know you can’t compare but which is reasonably good amongst all. Thank you.

It's government job, just get in, push yourself to acquire the relevant industry qualifications, and/or seek to be transferred to a more suitable department for your discipline, better still change your career path, you are not a tree.

My advice to you is this, leave money, career growth, allowances, work environment aside. Choose the one that is the easiest for you to get into right Now.

Early last year, I was given a choice between pef and cbn, a no brainer right? Some Pef hopefuls and followers of this thread know how that turned out. Needless to say, I'm still seeking a govt job.

As @theeweekend and @peepydelano have said ncc list is ready. I too have received this information. Can your connect get you on the list or kick someone out? When next will ncc recruit? keep in mind that you're competing with not just people already seeking juicy jobs, but people that have and are looking for better ones like ncc, and now, you have slots that are being shared to political bigwigs. Will your connect still hold power and influence in the next government?

Keep these considerations in mind when making your choice.

thing is it depends, if ur career minded.....are there things u might find boring doing.... a lot of ppl are motivated by various things some ppl is money so they don't mind working anywhere... while others prefer to work in places there courses are relevant... while some others are just open minded and wouldn't mind switching career lane to wherever they get work...so it depends on the group u belong ....someone like me can't work in anything medical line or lecturing....I just don't like it so if there is an offer in a place like this I wouldn't take it except I have been very jobless for yrs and no future outlook in any another place.....so it really depends on your person...I have seen ppl that studied something but are working and enjoying in a different thing...I have also seen ppl that if its not in there area they won't work and enjoy it.....and I have seen ppl as long as ur paying them they would work and enjoy or force themselves to enjoy it.....the choice is really yours tho...first job I got it was okay but I didn't enjoy it so I knew in my mind I would not last 2yrs there and it was not related to my course ...within 1 year I left.......so the choice is really urs and your type of persona

Thanks, I appreciate your time.. At this point in my life, I’m all about the “Shmoney”�. So, I would say I am money motivated. As long as the money is flowing, We go learn to adjust my brother.

NCC is the best of the 3 by a large margin in a number of aspects, but getting in there be like Catch-22 these days, depends on your connection sha. FIRS replace frequently so therefore it may be the easiest to get into if you know the right person, and 240k ish for bsc minus allowances is quite good. ITF staff are paid the least, and by that criterion alone comes in 3rd position, however my buddy tells me the work environment is great.

Thanks for this.. thought as much too. But my other issue is people are saying because I read politics, I won’t “enjoy” NCC.. that’s where I’m starting to get worried. What do you think?

Same here, I was told that but I want to make sure I get well informed information before doing anything. But I’m still leading towards NCC though.
