Morning everyone, please let's endeavor to coordinate ourselves and be polite in our outings here. It takes less time to do a thing right than it takes to explain why it was done wrong. Let's keep this thread active and useful as originally expected.

Meanwhile, I also called one of the HR contacts this morning and he clearly said the next batch of TS is going in immediately the current batch is done and he went ahead to say that that should be first week of November this year. Just like someone said here yesterday, the HR didn't bite so instead of joining issues here as to whether TS is next year or not I think calling any of the contacts for clarity won't be bad.

God will not let us down whether with FBN or elsewhere!
This really is good news bruh! The contact I called yesterday, his response wasn't convincing to me...it would be great to hear more authenticated calls. Cheers everyone!

Nlanded,it haff do.

Tigris, i'm from an engineering background and I have no idea whatsoever as regards accounting, the last time I was in a class for that was in secondary school and my flunking was always legendary.
So, where should be our starting point?

Even though we know the courses would be covered in TS,it won't be bad to know certain basics and have an idea of what we'll be facing.

Oya make una start to talk, no too much grammer abeg.
Thanks very much presh....the strange reality is that I am actually a social-science graduate and I deliberately made the poser because having gone through the 2012 thread, the good guy there giving info mentioned accounting as something very difficult.

It was out of empathy I wrote that, to give voice/ draw attention to sth an art, biology or so graduate might encounter. I know we actually hardly meet people who genuinely seek the interest of others at the risk of being portrayed unprintable names but no matter, it was never done at the first instance for validation.

The best way prove to doubters is consistency!

please stop all this pretence, stop claiming you had not and will not result to slander and insults when you did a lot of it yesterday, even the person whom you just quoted said he was disappointed in you and cloud9,so you feel he was disappointed in you as a result of you being clean here? I hate when people are acting fake and pretending. Now you are trying to sound helpful here by pretending to want to contribute constructively because mods deleted comments of the issue which went down here.

Now to the "constructive" topic you thought to be bringing, there is little that management discipline graduates can do here to teach you much on accounting, that is what first bank training school is for,its called foundation school because it would teach you basic foundation concerning every banking concept and principles that you need, all that would be covered in training school. Now we just wait and pray training school starts soon so we can move on with our career goals with first bank. Have a great day everyone
Hey landed. Top of the morning to you. You are absolutely entitled to your opinion but I asked you as at yesterday afternoon to show where I insulted cloud....you did not respond until this morning writing all you just wrote. Someone saying he/she is disappointed is actually a relative term....where I come from you scold both whoever is right and whoever isn't just to ensure there is peace and not to let the other party feel much aggrieved.(This is not to say I am right)

You actually said you didn't want to get involved in this but you clearly are in thick of it....try to prove whatever you assert and don't be overridden with emotions.(this is not an insult, is it?). I actually made the above statement to emphasise and denounce the zero-sum approach to arguements on this thread...it didn't start today he who must come to equity must come with clean hands".

At the heat of the e-fisticuffs grin yesterday I made a statement even though hidden had no layer of over-ridden emotion. I wrote that at night but I had asked since in the afternoon to point out where I insulted him. If you are to be sincere with yourself, if I was the very person you are defending, by now you know what you are likely to read.

I answered because you quoted me. And as regards the accounting foundation stuff, please try not to use a note of finality in your statements. Someone else might think otherwise and decide to run a few accounting topics on this thread!

Please relax, take a deep breath. Look at what you typed and what i just typed? Who just insulted?

Cheers!

At this juncture, let me state that Tigris007 has not and will never resort to insults and slander in airing his views no matter the level of aggravation.

I do not and will not support verbal violence.

Going forward, i think its time we talk about "accounting" for science discipline trainees....Management discipline trainees would be of tremendous help at this juncture.

Good you see it that way. The problem with us is we have a zero-sum approach to debates and argument, very typical of the Nigerian political system. A winner-takes-all mentality. The fact that there is disagreement does not mean we cannot work together to achieve a common good. Check all my posts, have you seen me resort to insults and demeaning propaganda in order to make my points.

Good to see that different people are airing their opinions. If I had an ego to protect, I wouldn't have ventured into airing my opinions in the first place. I am as strategic as that.

Going forward, I called the H.R. number. The man said we should expect T.S. call-up very soon. I asked if it was this year and he said YES! grin

Is the man lying? I don't know but this right here is credible info from the horse's mouth.

To further validate the authenticity of this info, others can call the h.r. number. I promise you, they will not bite grin

Dude, please try to slowly read through my comment before you start trying so hard to bask in the ambience of your supposed wittiness okay? If you do that then you'd be able to comprehend things easier and faster.

Go to my comment and read again, the word in bold is succinct enough as I didn't use complex syntax nor morpheme to pass my message across.

In case you still don't understand I would say it again: "No one knows EXACT details of dates concerning training school cutting across all batches that would pass through training school for this recruitment..."

I never said those who said training school would be by January 8th 2018 are lying, the best information going around now are speculation, intelligent guesses and futuristic analysis, no one knows the exact date for training school for we regular graduate training intake because there are a lot of human capital uncertainties going on at the moment at FBN, training school might happen in January 2018 as speculated, it might happen before the year 2017 runs out, it might even go beyond January 2018 and hence my affirmation that no one knows the exact date as at present.

Cheers!
Fellow dude grin, I actually was expecting you to say all you just said....only I gave the benefit of the doubt that you would add-up some obvious facts. You mentioned the word exact date after some one said he got a reliable source , mentioning an exact date. You branded it if anyone tells you that he/she knows exact details of dates concerning training school cutting across all batches that would pass through training school for this recruitment then the person is lying,

The person's credible source mentioned Jan 8, an exact date, so it means the source is lying( I hope I'm not loosing you here). Someone unrelated also mentioned next year. You spoke with certainty that no one knows...and I ask again, what is your source. If a tank is dirty, you can't expect the water coming out to be clean. High level emotional intelligence should tell you that discrediting a person's source would definitely rub-off on the info bringer. What even makes it more distateful is the fact that someone also hinted along that line and you have not validated your own source.

My aim for all this is, just as I stated earlier, you are perhaps unconsciously, sending a subliminal wave of "my source is the only true source" when you have not stated your source but branded another credible source hinted by another, a lie!
They may or may not be right but such words in an intellectually charged environment such as this insults one's sensibilities. Cheers!

cloud9usher:
Good day,

I don't have any competent information regarding that at the moment, if anyone tells you that he/she knows exact details of dates concerning training school cutting across all batches that would pass through training school for this recruitment then the person is lying, FBN at the moment is in a lot of makeshift/impromptu decisions concerning recruitment, lots of internal strategic human capital bureaucracy going on, so the best bet is just to sit back and see how things...
Hello cloud. You didn't specify the source of your info. You've contributed to this thread just like every well-meaning F.B. hopeful but there is need to make an exemption in your latest post. Using such extreme words as lying to qualify a particular source of information does not bid well to the variety of information we are allowed to source from. Two un-related people hinted the T.S. resuming next year and you, perhaps unconsciously, branded it a lie.

For those who have had medicals(which are in the majority viewing this thread as of now), they were given 6 H.R. numbers they can easily contact for information verification. At this stage, those two(have done medicals) have more credible info than most. Such words, going forward, can hamper the freedom and variety we all are craving for.

To help you know how it would feel, imagine me calling a lie your info as regards T.S being in batches, aside those yet to do A.c. Point made.

Your latter paragraph made good sense.

Cheers! cool

Hello. cool
Good one.
I'm not one that mentions "reliable source"....I say what I know and specifically detail whom I heard it from. A confirmed staff says it usually takes a month for those who have done documentation to get mail for t.s.

I subjected it to reason myself, and I see the utmost possibility....also whatever is prepared for isn't necessarily going to waste. It might even be cost-effective to buy things for less now as we approach the yuletide season...so I decided to share.

For those who have done documentation, a staff from f.b says within a month, call-up mail with storm in.

This means, preparation should begin in earnest, they said shirt color is white and sky-blue(only huh).

So prepare!

FOUND THIS ON THE 2013 THREAD WHEN THEY WERE
EXPECTING F.B. RESPONSE AFTER A.C...great read

Dr Ubani works in one of Houston's biggest cardiology centers. His wife heads over 200 people in an IT firm in Texas too. Living above average they have one dream for which they saved religiously. The dream to someday go back home to Umuahia in Abia state and set up their own businesses.

Meanwhile...... Martins and his wife who both run successful businesses in Umuahia have not missed their "prayer point" in the last 4yrs. "Lord this dream must come through, we must relocate to America.

Uche Nwokocha watches through the window of his high rise First bank office everyday. Admiring independent businessmen. Hating his cage. "Sorry his job I mean" and wishing to be a self employed entrepreneur someday.

Meanwhile... Paul Oluwole walks pass that same First bank building everyday. His CV in his hand and sweat on his forehead, asking God "when"?. When would I say "I work for First Bank. That should be my office up there"

Mrs Aisha Bello, wife of a multi billionaire wishes she could turn back time and re-pick her husband. Marriage has been hell for her and and she wishes for singleness. Meanwhile Funke who works for her would give anything to be Mr Bello's wife. 4th wife is ok sef. "See fine man with cash. Kai some women are lucky" she says.

The stupidity that is inherent in envy and comparison of lives is the kind that needs exorcism to expel. Given the shoes of the man with the life you want may be all that you need to cure you of your inordinate longing. The grass is not always greener on the other side. When you look well, you will see that some glamour carry pain underneath.

Don't wish to be in anybody's shoe because you don't use the same size.

As you trust God for a better life, be content with what you have and where you are. I pray you will end well and in God! Amen!

Nanyt to you all fellow First bankers." cool

Question aye!

Masturbation is the deliberate act of stimulating one's sexual organs in order to feel the same/similar satisfaction as one having it with a man or woman.

Is Masturbation a sin....I would rather ask why it shouldn't be considered a sin. The effects are even destructive to the human body....and Jesus seeing
the vaseline crew, especially on nairaland grin said in in matt. 5:28....But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
