Hello beautiful people,

This is my case, I'll appreciate every input on this. I have mentioned it here before but I would just like to be more open about it.

I am in the process of paying my deposit to Centinnial for Electromechanical Engineering Course (Ontario College Advance Diploma), the course requires a degree holder with experience.(see attached).(2-yr)

I would have further into master's degree but my grades are low. Also Post-Graduate course seem to be only 1-yr. I've been told I need a 2-yr program to get a work permit after studies. Yes i can take PGD and later further into master, tbh I'm not ready for another master's I'm currently taking my MSC program and will end soon. I just need a practical course to launch me into an industry.

For the sake of the VO, if my intended program won't be convincing enough, can I find a PGD program and upon getting to Canada I can switch to a 2-yr practical program? How possible and convenient is this switch.

God bless you all for all your assistance.

[quote author=ShowYoung post=114280785]Thanks for your help.

To be more explanatory: had aeronautical Engineering for my bachelors degree, and getting a master's degree in Canada in line with this feild has been a bit tough since I didn't meet up with the grade requirement.

Working on some research designs to incoprate with the newly registered company as what I intend to come back to Nigeria for. More to convince the VO that I'll need the necessary and additional practical knowledge from the advance diploma course. Its an engineering business/ company.

I'll appreciate more input on this.

Thank you

Hello House,

I'll need your help on this one.

I have a Bachelor's degree and I'll finish my master's degree this year. Got an offer at centinnial college for an Ontario College Advanced Diploma. Considering that the course only has Bsc as requirement. If I include my Master's degree in my visa application won't tht be an issue? Maybe I'm suppose to go for a much advanced course (phd or PDG)? Well I need this course for practical reasons, and to assist me with the business I've just registered in Nigeria.

I haven't started operations in the newly registered business, but can I have the documents submitted with my VISA application?

Thanks Gurus.

*Hello Beautiful People*

I'm expecting my I-20 this week, the issue is I was giving a conditional offer so I had to apply for Non-degree; I will be given a semester to proove my self worthy to be admitted fully into the degree program.

The basis of the conditional offer was because I did not meet up with the required GPA.

I don't know if the I-20 will reflect this, but just in case, I'll need an assistance on how to tackle this with the VO.

I intend to mention the fact that, my grades were impacted due to being a Violinist in the Uni Orchestra(Violinist) during my bachelor's degree. Had to attend activities to maintain my privileges.

I'm quite skeptical about my answer anyways. *KINDLY ASSIST *

Thanks

Hello beautiful people,

What would you advise to be used as a strong home ties, if I'm not applying from Nigeria.
Will the compulsory Youth service count too?

Hello beautiful people,

Here is another question, and I need every information I can get please.

Can I apply for this visa in another country?

I'm not in Nigeria. Bet you, it would cost much coming to Nigeria for the application and then traveling to US again. But please give me your candid advise, dont pity my pocket.

Considering that my bank statement is in Naira, won't that be an issue? Not sure if the embassy confirms the legitimacy if an account.
Or who has been in this situation before?

Thanks everyone, I'll appreciate every input on this one.

Thank you so much bro. Well I hold a Bachelors degree in Aeronautical Engineering which is why Aerospace would have been the preferable next phase.
Considering everything you've said and your advises, can I process a change of course upon my arrival at the school? Afterall, I have more experience working in an automobile industry.

Hello beautiful people,

Please I'm asking this question again.

My mum is my sponsor, should I use her personal account(SOA) or her business Account, mind you the business account is in the business name. Please which is advisable? I am stuck at this point.

I want to get my I-20 and i need to be consistent with the bank statement I'm using. Both has enough money but the business account is more huge.

Please assist.

Hello guys,

Since my mum is the sponsor, should I use her own personal account or the business account which bears the name of the business.

Thanks

Hello beautiful people,

I ended up having only 1 successful application despite making attempts to 2 other school but I didnt complete it.
I got an offer from this school(KSU) for Msc. Aerospace Engineering, unfortunately they won't be giving any assistantship position to any student this sem, therefore, I am directed to apply as a self funded Student. Total cost is $42,025/year about N18m
Please I need clarity on the questions below.

1. It is okay if the balance of my account reflect 20M?
2. Will i be submitting this same SOA at the embassy? Or i have to update it before going for visa application. School resumes Aug.
3. My mum will be the sponsor, should i submit her personal SOA or her business SOA(earing the name of her business)

This is all I need to know for now, thanks for the help.
