Ibime and Co only remember Mata for his missed penalty again Bayern but forgot that he assisted Drogba's equaliser. You guys forgot that he equally assisted Torres opening goal vs Benfica in EL final and assisted Ivanovic's winner in that same match.

Stats, they say, don't lie. I don't see how a player who has 3 assists in 2 back to back European final is 'just a passenger' in the team.

If not for Mourinho's defensive philosophy, Juan Mata would still be in Chelsea now racking up assists here.

Why is no one mentioning Mata in their Chelsea all time XI? This guy got us back to back European titles.

Chelsea's form is gradually improving. There's still something wrong with the attacking play, though, and it's become trendy to blame it all on Costa, which isn't entirely fair. Willian and Hazard, in particular, ALWAYS run with the ball. It's as if it's in their contract to play this way, and it actually slows down attacks. The movement of Chelsea's forwards is poor, and part of that is because, whenever either of these two has the ball, the others have to watch and wait, as they can't tell what is going to happen. Nobody, other than Costa, ever makes any sort of run behind the opposition back four, and he's doing it less then last season as we are just not delivering it early enough. Mourinho needs an attacking coach to work the players into the value of two-touch pass and move football. Time and again, by the time Chelsea arrive at the opponents penalty area, there are 7 or 8 defenders in front of them, and as a result, actual scoring chances are few and far between.

There are at least two crosses from Hazard that rolls in front of goal begging for a simple tap in... But where is Costa? Around the edge of the box or at most, the penalty spot. At a point, the commentators started asking which position exactly is Costa playing...

Point is Costa drifts to the left too much for my liking. He needs to stay more central. Ruud van Nistlerooy and Inzaghi comes to mind.

Hazard and Willian was extremely excellent on Saturday.

I wish the boys will take this same commitment and tempo to White Hart Lane next week.

If his brother come 5th in school, he will still pay his school fees next term and help him improve his academics.

Hazard have played Stoke multiple times in his 3 years in England. Considering the team's form now and confidence, Pedro might just find it hard to cope.
