I own a 1999 toyota camry since 2011 with 110k miles in odometer and i have been using mobil 20w50 mineral engine oil untile date 2020 with 187k miles on it and i do change oil every 3000k miles with out any problem, the recommended engine oil is 5w30 which is percially unavelable in my hode 9ja exept the highly priced synthetic ones which is on durex, so with my understanding is 5w30 has fuel economy and engine ware on startup and 100c for the low vascosity becos of less drag oil flow, the fact is if u use 5w30 if avaliable and burn oil u have step up to 10w, 15w or 20w = 30, 40, or 50, my issue is finance becos no mineral 5w30 around, but nothing do my engine after 9 years of dayly usage |

marylandcakes:Coolants comes in two ways Premix : don't mix with water Unpremix : mix 50% distilled water and coolant |
VirtIQ:That very much important for better cooling base on hotter climate, and secondly if one stop working in middle of nowhere u can manage the other one U will know how many buy experimenting with water or going to total station buy and pouring into the radiator, my Camry takes tree and half to fill + reservoir |
pankere:They are available

Radiator Coolant: What Is The Right Way? by feelme3(m): 6:51pm On Nov 07, 2016 Hello experts in the house. Two days ago my Nissan maxima overheated for the first time. After flushing the radiator, my mechanic asked me to go buy two cans of coolant (greenish). The issue now is that he has been having a running argument with a fellow mechanic on where to add the coolant. While my mechanic wants to pour it directly into the radiator, this other guy insists that coolant are poured into the radiator reservoir tank. I just had to fill my radiator with water and left for a meeting. So na why I bring am to the council of elders. So please what is the right way: the radiator or the reservoir tank? Na the issue be that. The other guy is insisting that it be poured to the Max line in the reservoir tank without dilution (also says DON'T DILUTE on the can). My mechanic says it's poured straight into the radiator with the water. That's why it's radiator coolant. I no know again (Quote) (Report) (Like) (Share) Your mechanic is wrong and a qwak, I use this and it says DO NO DILUTE which means his an illiterate and can read the instructions, just buy enough quantity for your radiator and reserve don't mix with water, if it expensive better go for total 9ja |
Ikenna351: U are veryfunny and wrong as an expert people see u to be to say this, colure don't matter what matter is the content it contains recommended by the owner manual, my 1999 Camry u recommend ethle-glucose normally come in green colure or toyota long life colant which normally come in red, I recommend Abro ethle-glucose coolant because of aluminum blocks, which comes in a tin can made in u.s (see pic below) which can't be produced or faked by Nigerians , not the one in four litres rubber because of high percentage of colur and water fake products everywhere in Nigeria ,if the total 9ja coolant contain ethle-glucose and is of good quality and have good reviews then it will be my second alternative base on US vs 9ja quality .Cheers

Omotakins:in Nigeria where our climate is hot is better to use two fan radiator I don't use the four litre rubber any more because of fake products, rather I use Abro coolant in a can which can not be faked by Nigerians, see picture

Check for leakage if none good for you, u mentioned that it over heat, how many fan does u radiator have? If one buy a two fan radiator, what do top it with? If water, radiator is not designed to use water alone Because water boiling point is 100 degree but coolant boiling point is 220 degree, u see?, rather buy a coolant that Is already mix with water in four litter can, like abro red

Use marvel mystrey oil or seafoam, u can get in kings or jumia online market ,I have used it in many cars with good results or google is and see what others are saying about it, am surprised everyone is asking u to change ur engine, 4 of in ur engine oil for 20 to 50 miles will solve ur problem except it is a likage, sorry this is an old topic. |
