Hello @dduchess90, @justwise and other gurus. Please i need expert opinions.
I and my spouse got our visas, and now I want to apply for my 2 kids. The required fund for 4 of us as at the time i applied for us parents has now been exceeded based on inflation. However, there's an option in the kids application that says "MA has supplied evidence of maintenance funds" Now my questions. Can I pick the above option or would I need to upload a separate updated Statement of account for the kids? Cos at this point inflation has impacted the funds.
Or do I need to write a letter explaining the rates as at the time i applied for parents.
Thanks in advance |

Hi everyone,
I didn't upload my offer letter and my CAS letter. I did bio of December 2 and got NSF on 12th; no decision till now. Could this be the reason for the NSF?
Thanks |

Is there a way to send additional document to UKVI when it's not requested? I feel like I need to go and get my statement of account stamped and send to them. Thanks dduchess90: Hello
There's nothing you need to do
More time is needed to assess your application

timestwo: Hello senior fellows in the house. So i got my CAS and just want you all to help me double check that i have all my bases covered wrt POF.
I deduced that i need 35,592 GBP = 18,691,495 NGN
Breakdown MA - 9207 GBP for upkeep Tuition balance - 8,025 GBP 3 dependents - (680x3) x 9months = 18,360 GBP Total = 35,592 GBP = 18,691,495 NGN
Please i hope i didn't omit any item? Thanks in advance
@dduchess90, @gloriyah @justwise and everyone who can help to vet. Thanks |

I had a similar issue. Advice is if you haven't gotten your CAS yet, pay additional Tuiton. This will reduce your POF amount requirement and still save you time of starting POF all over. kaykay2022: Hi My People, please i need your advice. The GBP has increased in value on OANDA by at least 37NGN since POF was started and in the course of the month, the some transaction occurred and going by the current rate it would have dipped by about 70k but this was just for two days before it was restored back above the current rate. Please advise if i need to restart my POF counting days. |

I agree. I would much rather buy black market and pay more tuition than risk a NSF application. Thanks for the wisdom again. Teeenterprise: It would. Let’s assume she is required to show 17500 in account, if she pays 500 extra to school, her CAS is updated to reflect she now needs to show only 17000.
Before top up: 17500 times 525 is 9,187,000 After top up to school: 17000 times 525 is 8,925,000
Let’s assume Amount in POF account currently is 9,170,000, with the new 17k requirement, her balance is now more than sufficient.
It’s better to go and source for the extra £500 at black market than have a visa refusal and go through this process again.
One would lose more. |

Brilliant!!! Thank you for this extra-ordinary thought Teeenterprise: Since your CAS is not out. I’d advice you pay extra £500 - £1000 in addition to your deposit. You can use your schools card payment portal and use a uk card to update payment.
Send the notification to your school and your CAS would be updated. That way the required amount to show in POF would reduce to match what you currently have. |

In my case my opening balance will be lower that what's needed but closing balance will suffice. May God will help me with this inflation and just drop it a little bit. Gloriyah: Yes you can print another statement. Gloriyah: Your opening/closing balance should have the exact funds you need when converted to GBP. |

Would I need to print a different statement of account from the one I used for CAS last week? I hope that won't mean breaking the "holding cash for 28 days rule" Thanks for reasoning this issue with me. Gloriyah: Since its still a bit above the current rate, add a bit of cash(100/150k),just incase. |

My POF is still about 50k ahead of the inflation closing in. But I am just about to get my CAS and will likely submit my application next week. I started counting my POF in the first week of October. Gloriyah: Hmmm. The rate at the time you submitted your application is what the ECO will use in calculating your POF. How much is needed to balance up |

When I did my POF, i added 1.5M for inflation and when I printed for CAS it was still within range.
Now I'm about to apply for Visa but the inflation has swallowed the extra 1.5M i added Please what do you suggest that i do?
I need expert opinions, and suggestions please. |

Hello friends
If I applied for I & dependent wife first. Would it be a problem if I wanted to compete 2 kids applications few months later?
1. Assumed the kids POF will now be in wife's name when time comes. 2. Would it be an issue submitting the kids applications alone?

The road ahead of you is still very long. You should be looking at reaching ADB_Disbursement_Reviewer before thinking of debit. Good luck gidy4u: Good morning. I just login to my formA portal and I saw ADB_Supervisor. What does it mean. Is it that I will be debited soon |

Please what bank are you talking about? KTEC: What i meant is August 19th has been disbursed. ie. Those debited 5k on the 19th.
Since yours was the next working day which is monday 22, you should be next in line for disbursement.
Once adb supervisor approves and you get debited 5k, the day the 5k got debited is when you joined the queue.
Hopefully monday or tuesday you should receive debit alert |

Thanks for the advice hoodboy: I was told Sterling bank takes about 60days, so maybe you want to wait a bit. Access bank took similar time frame to process my form A. I applied since the 28th of August and just got debited yesterday. Porting to UBA after waiting this long might not be so beneficial |

Would it affect my POF if I receive lump sum payment into the account while it's still counting the 28days? Please response is needed before i make a mistake.
Reason is I'm trying to start a fresh form A application at UBA as I've not been debited by Sterling bank 6 weeks after approval. So I'll need to move that to UBA for the new application.
January intake and payment deadline is approaching |

I'm in a similar situation. I initiated tuition payment at Sterling bank since September 7, and I've been stuck at disbursement reviewer ever since. I wonder if initiating another Form A with another bank is acceptable. Or maybe there's a penalty for having 2 concurrent applications. Hammerhead123: Good Evening guys,
I am asking for a friend, Please has anyone recently successfully made payment tuition deposit with Form A using Zenith Bank?
She has initiated the payment since Sept 7, but up till now she is stuck at ADB_ Disbursement Reviewer stage.
Pls has anyone recently been able to make payment? How long did it take before the money is taken.
I would appreciate your response. Thank youuuu. |

Hello good people cc @dduchess @justwise
Is it reasonable to initiate 2 Form As concurrently? I've been waiting for Sterling bank to debit me for 6 weeks now without luck. And the last customer service personell i spoke to said it takes up to 90 days at their bank.
I'm thinking of starting another at UBA.
Every advice is appreciated. |
