Here's some objective analysis to ponder:

First, keep the following in mind -

1. All vehicles bear a VIN which identifies the country of manufacture.

2. Even when a vehicle is manufactured by an automaker in a country different from the home country, the VIN it bears would always identify the country it was manufactured in.

Examples:

The following are VINs for Toyota Models

2T1BU4EEXAC401491

2010 Toyota Corolla manufactured in Canada.

The first 2 characters, 2T, identify this vehicle as originating from Canada.

4T1BF3EK1AU572297

2010 Toyota Camry manufactured in the USA.

The first 2 characters, 4T, identify this vehicle as originating from the USA.

JTDBU4EE0AJ079416

2010 Toyota Corolla manufactured in Japan, the home country of Toyota.

JT identifies this vehicle as originating from Japan.

AHTLA52E403012797

2008 Toyota Corolla manufactured in South Africa.

AH identifies this vehicle as originating from South Africa.

These are all Toyota vehicles, manufactured all over the world, with one thing in common: Despite being Toyota, they always bear a VIN indicating the country of manufacture.

A couple of examples:

Rolls-Royce:

SCA664S53AUX48915

2010 Rolls-Royce Ghost

SC identifies this vehicle as originating from the United Kingdom.

Mercedes-Benz:

WDDGF5EB9AR089347

2010 Mercedes-Benz C300.

WD identifies this vehicle as originating from Germany.

Now to IVM, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing.

2012 IVM G5.

Three guesses what country LC matches?

The Peoples Republic of China.

However this vehicle was supposedly "manufactured" in Nigeria.

Every country on the planet has a set of VIN codes assigned to it. The first 3 characters of the VIN are the WMI. World Manufacturer Identity.

Nigerian WMI:

FF - FK

Until such a time as IVM produces a vehicle in Nigeria with the first 2 characters of the 17 digit VIN as -

FF, FG, FH, FI, FJ, FK

Unfortunately IVM cannot be referred to as a bonafide Nigerian automaker, just as the enthusiast who imports kits from a kit car maker and assembles them in his garage cannot be referred to as a bonafide automaker.

When buying a car, especially Nigerian used cars (hand to hand), what are the things to put into considerations, what to take note of that you won't end up buying scraps and won't buy a stolen car. How are u going to be sure the person selling it is the owner and the car not a stolen vehicle ? And even after purchase, what are the steps to take for me to change the ownership to mine?

Then what is it about this mileage of a thing that they always talks about as increasing or decreasing over years.. Pls help a sister who is a novice and doesn't know anything about car....plssss. Pls just tell me everything I should know before purchase so as to be on a safer side.

Yes my Windshield got broken in the process of delivery. I replaced it immediately it happened.

I have been super busy with famil matters for a couple of days, I snuck out to deliver engine to the park.

The intake manifold has a crack from the crash and will not be sent to reduce the volume.

I have opened up the valve cover so we can have an insight into the condition of the internal parts.

It is quite clear engine is in pristine condition and was properly serviced.

According to a report by Daily Trust, there is worry in the automobile industry following the decision of President Muhammadu Buhari to decline assent to the National Automotive Industry Development Plan (NAIDP) Bill.

This is coming after four years of legislative fireworks before the 8th National Assembly passed the Bill in 2017.

Almost two years after the Bill was passed by the National Assembly, there was uncertainty in the industry when the President failed to assent to the Bill.

Industry players and stakeholders were shocked when Buhari recently declined assent to the Bill. No reason was given for the decision.

To the stakeholders, the President’s decision to assent to the Bill was an anti-climax in the efforts to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) through the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) into the industry.

According to Daily Trust, the President declined assent into the Bill following a comment from the Nigeria Investment and Promotion Council (NIPC) querying the “pioneer status” granted to manufacturers.

it looks ugly, but it's pioneer, better functionality, Usb, Bluetooth etc. It's easy top revert to Factory, the stock 1 might be in the trunk sef.

Not to rain on your parade o .. I doubt your engine and oil has pass the stress test.. Keep in mind my car has been on the uber platform for over two years ...meaning over two years of constant usage.. Stop and go, long hours in traffic, dust etc.. You can't never compare commercial use to private use .
Also I do oil change every 12k miles and plus the cost of oil filter my total cost is about 20k Naira every 12k miles... now my assumption is that your oil is conventional oil , which will not be cost effective for commercial usage o ..... My oil will greatly serve is purpose for all brands of cars ..meaning expensive cars with high cost of engine replacement. With your type of oil I wouldn't use on expensive cars ....but the point is when it comes to engine oil, there is levels to this sh*t ......Am team USA spec Mobil 1 all day ......

Different opinions have been said about the radiator fan switch. Some say that it is the thermostat in a car, others say that it controls the radiator cooling system.

Please if anyone can throw some light on how the radiator fan switch works, like what it really does, its effect on gas millage and so on.
