Why are we yoruba moslems so hateful and intolerant? I asked a question as a proud omoluabi regarding our ancestral land of Kwara which is now officially Arewa state by conquest and instead proffering solution you're here yapping nonsense and calling on a tribalistic mod like you to remove a legitimate thread, shame on you my yoruba moslem brother from the conquered Kwara state 😉

the easiest thing to do on nairaland is to identify an Igbo even if his moniker is sultan of sokoto, that their hereditary madness will give him out

Check comments from his fellow igbos n u won’t b surprised for people who will sit at home tomorrow

Look at d topics of d dingbat n u know it’s another flat…..headed dingbat

I can tell from the way you type. I used to have an OSU neighbour who unfortunately got slaughtered and eaten by Simon Ekpa's cannibals. Please be careful out there in Alaibo, especially Abia and Imo. Dem no dey take eye see OSU wey get small meat for body. Take care.

I'm a proud ibo catholic from Anambra but I keep wondering why we the igbo catholics continue to play second fiddle to the Italians. When will an iboman be allowed to become a Pope at the Vatican?

It's not as if italians brought Christianity or Judaism to iboland (check the bible and you will see and confirm that we ibos are descendants of Eri the son of Gad who was one of the sons of Jacob from his concubine as mentioned in the bible). We ibos were practicing Judaism and Abrahamism before Italians even heard the gospel.

But what I don't understand is why I, as an Iboman can't venerate and decide to worship my own ancestors the same way the Italians do to their ancestors whom they call 'saints'? I also don't understand why Imolites rejected Bishop Okpaleke to preside over and lead them in prayers when he was transferred to Ahiara diocese in Mbiase. Are we truly a conquered people? Why are we always inferior to the white catholics? Even within Nigeria, ibo christians behave inferior to Yoruba christians. Our mumu no too much so?

Could this inferiority complex be the reason why the Obi of Onitsha, Ikwerres, and some Anioma ibos feel ashamed to identify as ibos?

Sometimes I feel ashamed of identifying as an iboman because it's so shameful how we constitute the largest population of Nigerians locked up in foreign prisons.

Just look at how Simon Ekpa and his Ipob touts flogs our parents and kids over Sit-At-Home noncompliance?

I would like NL members to proffer a lasting solution to this fiasco because it's become such an embarrassment to us ibos as a people.
This my thread really pain you my yoruba moslem brother that you had to copy everything I wrote https://www.nairaland.com/7783989/why-cant-yoruba-muslim-sultan

I want you to focus on why a yoruba moslem cannot become sultan or allowed to sight the moon after centuries of servitude to our fulani masters, they still find it convenient to sideline us.

I don’t even think the Yorubas are bothered if Kwara state claims them or not. I noticed It’s mostly other ethnic groups opening threads up and down about that issue. Yoruba land is already huge without Kwara and it’s left up to the kwara indigenes to decide where they belong.
I am a proud yoruba moslem from Edeland and I'm worried about Kwara because it's our ancestral land.

Our fulani masters will not allow us lead prayers, sight moon or become sultan and now they've taken Kwara from us by conquest, what have we done to deserve this rape on us as a people by a minority fulani? Could this be recompense for our habitual treachery?

Yoruba ronu ooo! It's only a matter of time before our fulani masters takeover our remaining lands and dip the Koran in the Atlantic with the help of we the yoruba moslems.

I've heard whispers of tribalistic mods on this forum but I never believed it until today.

I created a thread about the Arewa insignia on the Kwara state official logo and my thread was removed by a yoruba moslem mod from Kwara who felt offended by my post.

I ask again, what is the Arewa insignia doing on Kwara state official logo? Is Kwara state now Arewa land and no longer yoruba land?

The first picture below is the Arewa insignia, the second is the Kwara state official logo with Arewa insignia and that of Kaduna and Zamfara respectively with the same insignia, pls pay attention to what they all have in common which is the Arewa insignia.

It is either Kwara has been conquered and lost forever or we the yoruba moslems are suffering from a very low self esteem and chronic inferiority complex which we like to project on the great Igbos.

I wonder why a mod took down the previous thread I made about this topic. Could there be something we the yoruba moslems are trying to hide from other Nigerians about Kwara?

Can someone please explain what Arewa insignia is doing on Kwara state official logo?

The whole situation of the Sultan being the 'Head' of Muslims in Nigeria was done by the British. There's no historical reason for this, as it was not the Sokoto Caliphate that brought Islam to the SW. Yoruba Muslims need to stand up and demand equality.
Exactly my point but we the yoruba moslems are too scared to demand for equality, we'd rather project our insecurities and chronic low self esteem on the peaceful great Igbos just to impress our fulani masters that we are serving them very loyally.

We the yoruba moslems are the reason why the fulanis disrespect the South, we are actually the weak link of the South but even after everything we do for our fulani overlords they still won't allow us sight moon or lead prayers in the mosque, egbami, who will come to our rescue and save we the yoruba moslems?

The Sultanate is an age long Islamic institution that all Muslims in Nigeria should hold on to regardless of tribe!

If the Yorubas were to have a Sultan, the Igbos too , then the Ijaw, Nupe, Tiv, Baruba, and the division goes on!

The sultanate even precedes your existence and even that of parents! And you'll like to create a rivalry based on tribe!

Your suggestion will only bring about divisions and further deviation from the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad salallahu alayhi wasalam.
From what you wrote, are you in any way insinuating that we the yoruba moslems are condemned to eternal servitude to the fulani Sultanate? Are you saying we the yoruba moslems will never get to sight the moon until the end of time? Why can't we have a Sultanate that alternates between North and South? So as to promote religious character and give we the yoruba moslems a sense of belonging, we are already tired of fulani dominance but we are too scared to engage them so they don't slaughter us like beef cattle. Who can come to our rescue and save we the yoruba moslems? Egbami oo!

The Sultanate is not peculiar to the fulanis, they didn't invent the word, Brunei and Oman are ruled by sultans. The yorubas are a proud nation so why do we have to play second fiddle to the fulanis? It's not as if they gave us Islam, I think it boils down to the generational cowardice ingrained in our DNA
PoliticsDid Fajuyi Actually Sacrifice His Life For Aguiyi-ironsi Or Is It Propaganda? by TimiofEde(op): 3:23pm On Jul 30, 2023
In 1966 a proud yoruba son in the person of Francis Adekunle Fajuyi who was governor of western region was murdered in cold blood along side his principal Gen. Johnson Thomas Umunnakwe Aguiyi-Ironsi who was the head of state at the time.

This brazen murder and affront to the western region was carried out by the fulani junta without regards for the yoruba people, they brazenly murdered a high ranking yoruba son on yoruba soil and instead of we the yorubas to take action and do something about the disrespect to us as a people, we instead colluded with the fulanis out of fear to spin the narrative that Fajuyi sacrificed himself for Ironsi as if it changes the fact that our son was murdered on our soil without regards for us as a people.

We even helped the fulanis to tag the coup an Igbo coup and threw our weight behind our fulani overlords.

This lie of Fajuyi willingly sacrificing himself has gone on for too long and should be addressed because when a lie is allowed to fester for so long it begins to look like the truth.

Are we Yorubas truly cowards and scared of fulanis? Why didn't we retaliate after the fulanis murdered our illustrious son?

I'd like the good members of this forum to throw more light on this topic.
