So seniors here cannot intercede and persuade Checkitaut to communicate with his aggrieved customer? Who has he been doing business with all these years on this thread? Because I went through his past posts sometime this month when I was looking at general contractors/suppliers. He seemed reasonably consistent and no bad publicity like this. Very bad look for every contractor here, I'll tell you.

Fire extinguisher is abt 10k...lincence abt 20K and then ofc you need extra tires..you dont need VIO or anybody to tell you that.

Running a sustainable business requires that at all time you dont run fowl of certain things..these tryin to cut corners is the reason why some business collapse in Nigeria. I hope you learn from this and come out stronger.

While this can be innovative with the unknown situation of the foundation, I will always discourage such wanton and radical innovation. Such wanton innovation often fail woefully unintended consequences and stress test.

The first set of photos: Crayford in South East London suburb.

Just like your highlighted project, polystyrene was used to reduce weight and cost in the multi storey carpark. There was a water main burst and the whole carpark was flooded. As you know, polystyrene will float above water, thereby pushing upward the floor of the carpark crushing cars between two floors.

The second set of photos, Taiwan.

The contractor used cooking oil tins to save cost of properly casting columns for a hotel complex. He succeeded until there was a relative minor earthquake and the complex crumbled like a pack of cards.

Be encouraged to design and build structures that will stand the test of time. Cutting corners in the name of innovation often over time reveal what it was: cutting corners.

It is the latter. Funny enough, the inner walls that divide the house into various rooms are not affected. If so, why are the interior walls not affected?
An engineer once told me that the type of soil in a location could cause it. I also noticed that some people actually go to far south to bring in white sharp sand to build in Abuja. I also noticed that very few buildings that do not have this problem have very high foundation. but I have also seen buildings with very high foundation having this problem. its so common in Abuja.
I still need more advice and solution to this problem.

before we get more answers from our engineers in the house, we all know that water will always find is course.
I want to find out what type of foundation does the foundation has is it a raft foundation (casted) or strip foundation (block ), if it is the latter the seepage of water through the blocks will be rapid and if there is a little hole on the damp proof membrane ( Nylon) the water will always make a way through it.

Chekitaut, kindly do the needful OK. I don't want to agree to the term FRAUD that was labeled against you but once you don't communicate effectively. You give room for name callings and assumptions which the client or engineer is entitled to because you have room for that.

I have clients that just come drop some fund for works to me and Nobody can say I took their money, i ensure I do my best on any service as agreed,I asked one of them one day,how do you trust someone u haven't seen some much like this, "he said he still believe not all Nigerians are bad" I said Wow and said thanks.
A man here chatted me up abt 2-3weeks ago and sent me a brief of the designs he want,I was busy so didn't really go thru all he sent but at least attended to him per customer first, I gave him my price and he left saying he will Contact me later,some hours later that same day he messaged me and asked for my bank details which I did give him,for me to start his work that evening before other island works been that his work is not that big like others,normal hustling," let me quickly do this and make some more fund" all for me to check his brief and discover he want a duplex I charged for a bungalow, immediately I chatted him up and apologized saying sorry thought it's was bungalow, what I charged can't do that for such price.

I know he might have said in his mind wow this is so cheap for a Duplex, I then think it will b bad to return the money since I've made a mistake of saying such price for a duplex,I told him how much can you add to avoid been rude, he didn't respond on that so I asked for his bank details and sent his money back immediately that same evening, he should be here I think so.
This is just me.
Not trying to justify myself but I can't do such nah nah,cos I can't have peace of mind.
So not everybody do scam pls
