Yes you must use Uni-assist for VPD to apply to FHWS, i paid with the assistance of my friend in Germany.

AM (Approval Mail) is a message confirming that your visa has been approved. So you would be asked to send your insurance, passport and possibly travel details to them. Embassy don't give deadline to submit passport but of course it would be wise for you send it to them as fast as possible.

If you want to use your passport for something else after the interview, it's not an issue as the consular will return it to you immediately after the interview.

One advice, if you are above 30, please just go through the stress of opening Deutsche bank account, I think the stress is worth it. #start early.

Reasons:

1. If you are above 30 you pay bank charges.....lol, some banks charge as high as 7.69 euros monthly, I think Deutsche bank charges 4.99. I stand to be corrected by the gurus in the house

2. Remember you are already paying a monthly charge of 4.99 for Fintiba ( if you decide to use it).

3. Kindly add the charges yourself and see how much u forfeit monthly.

Finally I am currently having an issue with Fintiba, they deduct more than 4.99 monthly. I have called and sent mails, still the issue is yet to be resolved.

Please choose carefully especially if you are above 30.

I was meant to go for Winter 2017 but i didn't meet up with my school's enrollment deadline, so i will be going for Winter 2018 and i already funded my fintiba account since August 2017, does it mean they will be deducting 4.99 monthly from it because i left the fund there until my next visa interview?

Secondly the passport i used to open my fintiba account has been renewed so now i have a new passport that i will use to apply for Winter 2018, will that be an issue when i want to process my visa for Winter 2018.

AM mail means an APPROVAL EMAIL you will receive from the embassy after your visa interview. Instructing you to send your passport and travel Insurance for visa stamping.

Bros.. patience is key. Some people had their interview August 10th and are yet to receive AM mails even after having funded before interview date.

I have noticed there is no specific waiting period, because some am mails drop earlier than others. Nah for person to just pray and get patience because its a gradual process. I tell you, the wait for AM mail isn't easy at all. Steady checking my email, mine is just 13 days sha but seeing people getting their AM mail lesser than my date is alarming.

No EBS is not free, they are charging 1,500 Euros per semester.

Who is asking for the A2 German Cert., If it is the Embassy, go to the Schools Webpage, where the Application requirement for your course is

Copy the requirements (Where it was stated that A1 is sufficient for your 1 & 2nd Semester)

And send to the Embassy. That should also be enough if i-Campus did not reply you.

Ope oh, yes embassy requested for it, FHWS just replied me with letter head letter sef to show the embassy that my course is in English but by the end of the second semester i have to prove A2 German language proficiency.

No, I did not even have any German Cert., since my programme is an English thought programme.

But what does the schools requirement states concerning your own programme?

My programme is also English taught but requires german knowledge but if you don't have FHWS teaches german for the first 2 semesters and you will attain level A2 before getting to the 2nd year.

I'm just patiently waiting for FHWS to reply my email.

Hi Neccki, do you have A2 german certificate since you will be studying in Schweinfurt/wurzburg. I need FHWS to send me a mail stating that German proficiency is not required for enrolment. I have only A1 certificate and FHWS gives the option of attaining A2 german level within the first year after enrolment. I have sent the i-campus an email since on Sunday and still expecting their reply for them to just send me an email saying german proficiency is not required for enrolment at the same time finding a way to fund my blocked account.
