I don't think that pulling crowd is voting. Parties pay to mobilize people to their campaign venues. Most times, people attend rallies because of the perks they stand to benefit. I don't think I will attend Labour Party rally but I will certainly vote for the party.

I have followed the attacks on Dele Momodu by festus keyamo. All I can say is that the thick skull does not know when to draw the line.

By all standards Dele Momodu is not mates with Keyamo.

In fact, at some point in this country Ovation was Nigeria’s instagram. Dele is an innovator and a businessman that has managed to stay afloat with or without government favours.

Festus Keyamo, spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, says Dele Momodu is a “hopeless clown”.

Keyamo and Momodu, publisher of Ovation magazine, have been at loggerheads for some days now.

It started with the publisher alleging that the manifesto of Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of APC, is an appropriation of the legacy of Moshood Abiola, presumed winner of the 1993 presidential election.

In a statement on Wednesday, Keyamo, minister of state for labour and employment, said Momodu is looking to pick whatever pieces are left of his life by “shamelessly worming his way into the pockets of Atiku Abubabar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)”.


The minister said instead of stating what part Tinubu copied from Abiola’s document, Momodu embarked on a “pity party” by whipping up sentiments like a “frustrated man to cover up for his obvious inadequacies”.

“Here is a miserable fellow who having previously overrated himself, crashed down like a wingless bird from a futile presidential ambition (for which he got zero votes in the PDP Presidential primaries), and ended up as an hyperactive hireling and attack-dog of perhaps the worst serial loser in Nigeria’s electoral history,” the APC campaign spokesman said.

“Funnily enough, the only curriculum vitae he truly possesses to even make an attempt at the presidency is no more than mere photo ops with celebrities and the high-and-mighty in society.

Contrary to his usual public posturing, it was never a matter of principle. As Mitchelle Obama once put it: ‘When they go low, we go high.’

“As a very busy man with various portfolios and an eye on my huge private practice still going strong and to which I will return anytime, let me end my response here.

“There are far more important things to do than be distracted by the tantrums of someone who seems to be getting increasingly frustrated that those who hired him to salvage the publicity aspect of PDP’s presidential campaign are so far unimpressed with his mediocre performance.

Even though I won't have ordinarily supported Obaseki's action, but for the fact that Tinubu told his boy Sanwo Olu to tactically prevent other parties from placing advert in Lagos then it's good.

Since Tinubu is behaving as if he is contesting for the president of Lagos, Nigerians will ensure he loses woefully in other states.

Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki, has banned billboards owners in the state from accepting advert campaign projects from the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC)

The ban was disclosed to newsmen on Tuesday night in Benin City by a member of the Billboards’ Association in Edo, Mr. Ibrahim Momoh.

Momoh noted that the governor even threatened to confiscate the billboard of anyone who disregards the directive.

When contacted, the State Director, Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), Abdul Hakeem Tiamiyu, said he got the same complaints from a billboard owner.

Tiamiyu who promised to make further investigation told Tribune Online that APCON as a body is different from billboard owners.


He explained that while the job of billboard owners is to erect adverts on billboards, APCON regulates advertising contents in order to ensure conformity with the guiding regulations.

“I have heard the same complaints from billboard owners that Edo State Government has warned them not to erect any billboard from APC.

“I will carry more investigation on this because should this be true, it is quite unfortunate.
