Car TalkRe: Share Your Experience With Your Uber/taxify Driver by tinz: 10:52pm On Feb 21, 2020
Taxi business is never worth investing on. In fact, any business that doesn't appreciate in value is not worth investing.
People make this mistake a lot by thinking buying a car as uber is a good business. Well the hard truth is, you will end up loosing your body because it doesn't appreciate in value. Now let do the math.

A good Toyota corolla cost around 1.6m naira let assume everything with license ends at 1.7m naira.

Its will take approximately 1yr 6months to recover your capital at 100k per month earning. That's if every condition is constant which it surely won't be. Now try reselling the car, it won't be sold at the purchased price because its not an asset.

Now my advice, rather than put your money in taxi business. Why not first dedicate about 3 to 6 months and to learn a valuable skill. Catering, paint making, grill making, nylon making, baking, look for a service people can't do without and learn the skill. Then go look for a location where such service is not only needed but also scarce. The location must have good purchasing power and high traffic that is , a location where middle class is more compared to the rich. As studies have shown middle class people tend to spend more so as to look like the rich.

FoodRe: Does Mixing Alcoholic Drinks With Non-Alcoholic Drinks Reduce Effect? by tinz: 6:34pm On Dec 08, 2019
There's a difference btwn concentration and dilution. You are only diluting the alcohol but not reducing the molecules of the alcohol

Johnpaul01:
So I was chilling in one beer parlour today when two guys came in for drinks, one of them ordered for a bottle of Goldberg while the other ordered for a bottle of Stout. While the girl was about going to bring the drinks, the stout guy asked "Do you have nutri milk?", she replied with a yes and he asked her to bring it, explaining to his friend that it reduce the effect of the alcohol in the stout and the guy just nodded, but I was thinking of how that would be possible when the full bottle of stout will get into your body system with extra sugar from the nutri milk, and I felt it should be more damaging but I decided to mind my business and bring it here. Doctors in the house, is the guy correct with his ideology?.

VERY LUCRATIVE POS BUSINESS INVESTMENT & LEASE OF PREMISES:

We are a company involved in many business concerns including the running of POS terminals, Business Centres, Publishing, etc.

We are currently seeking to partially lease out to any business minded person/entrepreneur one of our shops in Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos, where we currently run a business centre and which also served as a POS shop before. The location is a very busy place with large customer base on a daily basis and the person would be able to make a minimum of one hundred thousand naira or more monthly with the potential to even double that profit after some months.

The person will be required to run his/her POS business in the shop and use the shop alongside with other staff of the company who are handling the business centre for the company.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. It is advisable that the person should run the POS business by himself or herself or put a trusted close relative to run it if they will not be able to run it by themselves. This is because a lot of money is involved and it is risky to trust people with large amounts of money.

2. Payment of a non refundable lease sum of one hundred & fifty thousand naira for the first year lease and a caution fee of thirty thousand naira (N30, 000) which makes a total of one hundred and eighty thousand naira (N180, 000).

3. For the second year and subsequently, the lease sum is fixed at one hundred thousand naira (N100, 000) per year, which must be paid at the beginning of each year. This is however subject to increment as the company decides.

4. The tenant will be required to fill and submit a tenant data capture and verification form, 2 Guarantors' forms and to submit photocopies of their valid ID cards as well as that of their Guarantors.

5. The tenant will be required to sign an agreement with the company prepared by the company lawyers, where all the issues and obligations of both parties will be stated accordingly.

6. For those who don't yet have POS machines or baxi boxes, the minimum capital investment in this business (which must be cash available) must be six hundred thousand naira (N600, 000) to be able to make at least one hundred thousand naira (N100, 000) monthly profit.

7. The tenant will be required by the company to show/tender a statement of account where the N600, 000 is lodged to confirm the availability of the funds before access to the shop is granted. For those who already have POS machines or baxi boxes, they will be required to have a minimum of N500, 000 to run the business, which must be confirmed by us before access is granted to the shop.

8. All payments to the company for the lease are made via the company account accordingly.

BENEFITS OF THIS LEASE:
1. Set up of your POS terminal or baxi box, depending on the one you choose. You take care of all the expenses involved.

2. Use of shop and business premises.

3. Use of already existing office equipment and facilities in the shop. You don't need to buy any office equipment.

4. Use of already existing advert banners in the shop for your POS business.

5. Patronage by already existing POS customers who patronize us in the shop.

6. Advice and guidance periodically from the company staff who have run the POS business before.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:
If you are interested in this lease and you can meet up with the requirements, then send a mail to us via citycentre377@gmail.com and state the following in your mail:

1. Your full names and gender.

2. Your location in Lagos.

3. Your mobile number.

4. The total cash amount you have in the bank to run this business. This is not money anticipated to be paid to you but money that must already be in your bank account.

Then if shortlisted, one of our staff will contact you for further discussions.

The subject of your mail should be: "Shop Lease For POS".

Kindly note that only shortlisted applicants for this lease will be contacted, and the person with the most convincing prospect for this business will eventually be selected.

Drop your comments below and I will respond to them.

Good luck!

InvestmentRe: What Kind Of Business Can One Start With 5 Million Naira by tinz: 3:05pm On Nov 29, 2019
Hello, if your write up is very true then we can partner on fast food business here in Lagos. Lagos island precisely due to the availability of market and higher purchasing power. Am already into such but looking for a partner to go into bigger space and because of the cost of rentals on the island, I have been limited. The project cost about 10m naira... 3m goes into rentals, 2m into furnishings and utensils while the remaining 5m will be invested into other forms of business this is to guarantee another source of income.
At the moment, I can only raise half of that cash which is 5m. If this idea of yours is very real, we can meet at any location of your choice, you can also make request to come see my business place on Lagos island. At the moment, the currently guaranteed business with good returns on Lagos island are food, hotels and bar. If you still do not buy the idea of a restaurant. We can partner to open a standard bar at Lagos island just by former national mirrors news paper. Jimo Ibrahim is currently leasing the properties out and there's a section by the road side which cost about 1.5m annually. If well furnished, believe me we are in money. But I still do understand if you don't buy my idea

BusinessRe: Should I Buy Keke Or A Car For Uber In Benin? by tinz: 4:16pm On Nov 17, 2019
First u need understand every business is a long term venture. U need understand the risk involved in business before going into it. You can either lose your money, make profit this are the two possible way a business can turn out.

From my experience, in 2011 at 24 yrs was my first keke I bought which cost about 350k then. Gave it to a guy who ended up having a serious accident with it making me to loose my cash .
Fast forward 2017 I bought a bus about 700k gave it to someone who ended up not remitting as we agreed I ended up selling the bus.

Fast forward 2018 started a business a restaurant precisely, at first I got disappointed but with consistency, sacrifice, hard work, starvation and prayer. It finally started making sense, Raking in about 250k profit after expenses.

Fast forward 2018 December, bought a car for taxify everything working fine .

My advice for u is you should try having a side hustle before venturing into any business as business is really a risky journey. Also I would advice you go for a car Toyota precisely due to it resale value or Hyundai elantra 2010 version or a Honda civic 2005 version. But for a keke except you are very convinced that the rider won't fall ur hand oh but I doubt because Nigerians are mostly not worth helping

Today, I have decided to share some secret most people who claim to be professional forex traders use in trading. This strategy in most cases is 80% certain except the trader decideds to go outside this strategy... currency trading can be very risky just like every other business however, the risk can be reduced on if the rules are followed. So dash down and read my little secrets to currency trading and I hope this will help you go a long way.

as a trader, remember you can not control the market never. While having this is mind, the next is to follow the rules.

smiley when you open your trading app ( chart). The first thing is to set your timing to 4 hours frame. This is to enable you the trader view the chart in a more compressed view or rather a more balanced view.

smiley the next step is mark out your current support and resistance levels in the chart.
For where you seem not to find a support and resistance levels. Leave the chart and move to next one. In trading, its very important for a trader to locate a support and resistance levels. This is to enable the trader figure out where the market is headed..

smiley the next line of action is to figure out the volume of traders in a direction. What I mean by this is, supposition there are a total of 100 traders in a market and 60 are buyers, 30 are sellers then 10 are non active. This means we the trader will go in the direction of the 60 buyers. The question now is, how do we figure out where the 60 buyers are. To figure such out, we call it volume. Which means the volume of buyers are higher than sellers. Sometimes this can also be called trend but truth is, trend and volume are two different things.
We can have a 60% buyer in a market but not have a trend. So for us to figure out the right volume. We use what we call volume indicator unfortunately.

smiley we follow the trend. What this means is , we follow the direction of the market. To identify the trend, traders use what we call RSI also called relative strength index. This RSI can be modified for best signals however they are not 100% accurate but if well modified, you can get the best out of it.
The best settings I know off is having the RSI set at 50. This is still by far the best settings used.

The last important part in trading is confirmation of breakout. This is mostly applied in support and resistance levels. I will be back shortly to post a few pictures to prove my points.

Because pictures they say teaches better than words
InvestmentBusiness And Investment ( Keys To Successful Growth) by tinz(op): 3:01pm On Oct 01, 2019
I have a couple of business here in Lagos island and Victoria island. I can say with confidence, being an entrepreneur is no kids play especially during the first 5 years of your business. Therefore I wanna drop a few things I have learnt over the years as an entrepreneur after quitting my job to start a business of mine. Which I started with just 15000 naira few years ago. Yes you heard me right 15000 naira was what I started with.
The fear of facing the unknown is the reason why people go about looking for jobs in established companies unknowing to them their are plenty of opportunities around in ones area. All that is needed is to look for a service that's needed and you are good to go.
Here are a few things I have come to learn, mastered and still learning.

1) idea also know as ( product)
People often do not know that ideas is far more important than money. First as an entrepreneur or a business person or someone who just wanna start a business. What you need is idea or a solutions to peoples problem.
If you are able to find a solution, product or idea that people can buy then you are half way done.
So instead to look for money, I rather would say you should look for ideas.

2) purchasing power of an area. People often make mistakes of sighten their business in low income areas. Now am not saying this is bad but truth is there is a high chance of your business collapsing in low income areas. Not because your ideas is bad but because your business is located at a wrong environment.
For business to grow, environment is key. Look around your environment. How many companies can you see, probably limited I believe. This is because investors knows the importance of high income areas. This high income areas help businesses to grow faster unlike low income areas. So before you start that your business, choose your environment carefully.

3) quality of product.
Whatever it is you intend to sell to the people, make sure it is top notch. As customers are easily taken away by a better product. Competitors are always looking for weaknesses in business so they capitalize on it. Always always make sure your product is superb.

4) do a checkmate on your possible competitors.
Before you start a business, make sure you are able to move around in the area and do a check on your competitors. Buy their products as much as you can. Compare it with yours this is to enable you know what your weakness is and to find a solution to it.

5) aggressive marketing.
To break even into the market, you need do aggressive marketing. Take your product to the buyers. The fact your product is superb is not enough reason people will patronize you. Humans are funny creatures. They may like your product but not all will remember as people have things bothering their minds. So learn to take your Product to your customers. If possible, do a weekly promo invite DJ's so to create a better awareness.

6) while its is good to have an established company in ones name. It also takes years of sacrifice, sleepless nights, hunger.
Everyone wish to succeed in their businesses but we often find it hard to accept the bitter truth. In other to succeed in business, so much must be sacrificed. Lack of time for family, many night of no sleep, days we go hungry just to grow a business this and many more. Entrepreneurs are often lonely or have very few friends and can be very stingy and strict. This is because, they know the importance of every penny. The mindset of an entrepreneur is totally different from that of an average person. The way they see things, understand things is different due to their experience in life. So when you see tall buildings or companies rather than wish to be like them. First try to imagine how many years it took them to be in such position. If you can figure out the years, then you will know being an entrepreneur is not for every person.

7) loss of capital.
The world of an entrepreneur is a risky world. A reason they are often lonely as no one is willing to share in one failure so they share their pain and failure alone. As an entrepreneur, be ready to loose your capital, be ready to get frustrated, downtrodden and broke. Be ready to start from scratch, be ready to wear one clothes in days, be ready to walk the walk. Its never an easy road for an entrepreneur.

cool never touch your first 2 to 3 years income.
As an entrepreneur, for you to grow. You need not touch your first few income. This is to enable the business have a strong capital base incase their is some failure along the line or maybe a drop in sales.

9) expansion.. Be ready to expand your business to help create regular stream of income.
However, be careful of the environment you intend opening it. As environment can make or break a business. Do a survey of the environment, no what is likely to sell or not before investing your money. Because a money gone can't be recovered.

If you have anything to add, please feel free to do so

Am into hospitality and restaurants precisely.
At the moment, my business has been running for a period of 3 years with average turnover of 300k monthly after all expenses paid including salaries.
I have a branch at Lagos island and also at V.I just adjacent to silver bird cinema V.I.
Am currently looking at opening a branch at surulere just by adebola street very close to shitta junction. However the cost of opening will this business with my rough estimate is about 10 to 15m naira. Am currently worth half of that but really Looking for an investor or a partner who will be willing to share in the risk or just invest in this project while the sharing of interest will be discussed and signed with every preferred witness allowed.
Why I choose surulere is because of the purchase power and lack of availability of native foods with bars that average person can afford a drink. While in this bar, this as basic native foods, grills, free internet, a car park, an open area to view the express way, a bar will all be sighted. The location has already been gotten but at the moment I lack the finance for this project. I can only afford half of the cash for this project which is about 8m naira. This project from my calculation can generate a profit of 1m monthly or more. While my write-ups might not be 100% certain I am at least 80% certain of the profit margin due to my already existed clients and having an experience in the business. I can send you the address of my office both at Lagos island and Victoria island to come see things yourself and also send you the address of the project I hope to secure at surulere.
Also am on a hunt for hotels that are on lease or for rent. If you find a hotel or bar that's put up for lease or rent. Pls do kindly DM me
