It’s just kinda crazy how they claim a decision had already been made on August 3rd and the passport is still being held till date… I keep checking for NSFs or any sorta correspondence from UKVI each hour but nothing…,

Hello and how are you doing? Any update regarding your application? My nephew got his passport with visa vignette delivered yesterday. It was supposed to be on Tue, but DHL couldn’t get it delivered, so they did yesterday.

Your “No Evidence” statement actually cracks me up and the next thing that came to my head is “You go explain tire”… 😂😂😂.

However, I’m not trying to mock you or make jest out of your situation, but I believe you can still get the statement of account of your business and then maybe a cover letter to explain how the business works.

Well, I do not think it’s about being desperate here. Not everyone knows the rule. Not even everyone knows about paid call or mail. Like my brother, did not even know about the rules neither the paid call or mail, I was the one that told him about them.

My brother got his visa in 5 days, his wife got hers too in 5 days. So we were worried when his got delayed and so he had to do the paid call. Also, the wife is preggy and he wants them in asap. But it’s all good sha.

Please I am new here and I just signed up as I have been going through comments here for the past years. And I’ve only decided to join the forum as I am enjoying All I am reading each time. Please I did my bio. Since 14th August. It was received that day that night. And it has moved to DMC. Since then it has not moved again as I was expecting it to move to VAC. It took my wife to get her visa exactly 5days after her bio. Because her own was done on 3rd. Why mine was on the 4th. Please advice me on what to do. Thank you

I guess your wife is the MA and that’s why hers was processed faster so she can meet up with resumption. As for dependent visas, with the experience I’ve had, you just have to give it like 15 working days max, starting from the day you did your bio before you start worrying. If there’s anything that is needed from you, you’ll get an NSF mail. If not, then you’re good to go. Just keep believing and keep on praying. Nothing to actually worry about.

My brother applied for a study visa and has since gone since February. So he decided to bring in his wife and kid after settling down. They were both the dependent when he applied.
So due to passport issue, the wife did her application first and then got her visa since 3rd of July, but had to wait because of their son.
So when his son’s passport was ready, he had to pay for a date for his appointment at TLs Abuja and he successfully did his biometric on the 26th of July.
Till today, they haven’t gotten any email. Now they’re really worried because he doesn’t want to leave his son behind. Also, he thinks him already there and his wife having a valid visa should help with their son’s processing/application but nothing yet. Please what can be done or they shouldn’t have to worry about anything as both of them have a valid visa?

He paid for standard and not priority.

My nephew’s application has been decided and his visa has been granted.

Bio on 26th of July
Application received by DMC July 27th
Paid call Aug 8th
Empty NSF Aug 9th
Another paid call Aug 15th and we were told to wait till Friday.
And to the glory of God, he got his visa…

It’s not easy, but God saw us through. I pray everyone going through this will end up smiling too. Amen!

Omo!!! If only these guys knew how mentally exhausting this thing can be. My nephew keeps asking his mom when they’d be traveling, but she just couldn’t say anything. She kept on saying “soon” and I could feel how sad they both feel about that.

Meanwhile, my brother (MA) has been there since Feb, now to bring his family in na wahala. Wife got her visa, but the child’s isn’t and nothing yet from them. It’s really crazy and exhausting!!!

The suspense isn’t here at all.

Made my 4th paid call today… the rep I spoke was just being generic with her response… 15 business days today btw… no NSF, no Refusal mail… Biometrics done together on July 25th at TLS Ikeja…

At this point, I think I’d just give up on calling ‘em..not gonna let ‘em drive me nuts…

My daughter is just 13 years old hence me wanting us to fly out together…

You’re right with the generic thing. My nephew did his bio on the 26th of July. We got nothing and then had to call on the 7th of Aug and then we got an empty NSF on the 8th. Since then, nothing. So yesterday, my brother did a paid call again, then the lady that picked, just said the same generic thing. Funny thing is, she said we have to wait for another 15days, starting from the day we got the empty NSF mail lol, but then ended it with we waiting until Friday, but if nothing, it’s 15 working days after which they’re going to escalate it. Just so annoying really!!!

Anyways, anything yet from them?

We need to stop. You paid for standard. Your child did his biometrics July 26th which today makes 7 working days. You have at least 8 more working days to go before doing all this. Your application is not the only one waiting on the queue. Allow the application run its timeline.

I think Europe isnt desperate enough to diversify their gas sources yet. Would be nice to see Russia cut off that supply for just 1 month, it could force the European union scrambling to Nigeria to sponsor the trans-saharan gas pipeline and possibly a new LNG plant (benefits for Nigeria)

Cutting it off isn’t the problem for Putin you know. But then, he knows how much that’s going to cost him also and he needs the money. I’m sure Europe’s already looking into other sources of energy. I read an article where most of them said they’d fast track their green energy project to reduce the dependence on Russian oil and gas.

As much as I’d have loved it if they come to us for their supplies, I just don’t really see it being possible and the reason is this…. Most of these countries are moving into renewable energies and what just happened is going to be an eye opener for them.

What I think they’d do is, considering the amount it’s going to cost (building another pipeline), they’d rather invest it on renewable energy and reduce dependence on Russia’s oil to a bare minimum, while also making up for it from another European country instead of coming to Africa.

Well, you’re right. But you know the sanctions against Iran, Cuba and Venezuela are minimal compared to the sanctions against Russia. In Russia’s case, it’s the World vs Russia, but those other South America countries are just with US.

Lol... Of course Russia isnt the only country supplying gas to Europe, but over 40% of Europe's gas supply comes from Russia. Dont get it twisted, if Europe really had alternatives, they would have dumped Russian gas ages ago.

40% is not beans; if you cut off 40% of Europe's gas supply, there would be critical gas shortage which can push gas prices through the roof; we talking up to 300-500% inflation in heating cost for homes. We're still in winter period and gas demand is currently high; should Russia cut off that supply and the scarcity inflation starts, streets will be filled with protesters.

Even prior to the Ukraine invasion, there's been inflation in gas costs across Europe with heating cost in homes in the UK for instance, expected to rise by up to 60% from April this year. When this happens, there'd be a major public outcry. I wouldnt even want to imagine what would happen if that increase hits up to 300% because of regional politics - the protest would be massive.

Putin needs the money to finance the war, and the only way to get that is through the gas to Europe because of the sanctions right now which has made it difficult dealing with Russia. As for Europe, they can source for the gas elsewhere, but how will Putin get to sell his or who’s going to be able to buy that much gas from him? I’m sure you know no single country can get that %… Putin is really handicapped right now. He needs Europe more than Europe needs him.
