Preparations for the next general elections in Nigeria has already begun, with different projections of several interests taking over our media space, yet there's a possibility of our populace making the same mistake of our past (in electing illogical, vision-less, heartless, and highly corrupt persons as leaders) especially in our dear Abia State.

The era of politicians, particularly our political office holders coming out 18months to every election to give out handouts in the name of empowerment should belong to our past, especially with our youths. It is high time our populace start asking our leaders intelligent and pertinent questions in regards to the offices they had occupied prior to the election season, which would give them room to account for their stewardship during the period such offices were given to them on Trust.

Presently in our Dear Abia State, names of some persons who has been in the corridors of power for a long time with absolute nothing to show for it are already being mentioned again, and as usual with alot of baggages of corruption and embezzlement of highest orders also tagging along their names, (some former and present political office holders), others friends and associates of past governments in the state and yet there has been no deliberate efforts by this persons to clear their names without sweeping those corruption allegations under the carpet of "politicisation".

It has become very expedient for every responsible and rational youth and adult in Abia to critically analyse the present situation in Abia State, void of Party, Zonal or Tribal sentiments, and access all these names being mooted around for various political positions, but particularly of the Governorship and their precedence, to know if they are worth entrusting another 4year Term on Trust to. If any of these names is found in any least way culpable in bringing Abia State to where it is now, they should be outrightly disregarded.

Abia has been long overdue for a positive change... Abia deserves better!
