Politics › Re: 90 Percent Of Die-hard Boko Haram Fighters Dead - Borno Government by tishbite41(m): 2:46pm On Dec 01, 2022 |
grandstar: No need to be rude.
Boko Haram are islamic terrorists. Their fuelled by Islam. It was started by the Kanuris and not Hausas or Fulanis. There are no indigenous Hausas in Bornu, Yobe, and Adamawa where the insurgency rage.
For years, the top echeleon of Boko Haram were Kanuris and may still be so. Even a large number of them constituted their fighters. Zulum, Shettima and Abacha are all Kanuris and neither Hausa or Fulani. Abachas wife,Mariam is Shuwa. They are a light skin tribe in Bornu state.
As for the Fulani bandits, they are not really bandits. They are more like marauder bands, the type that kidnapped Davids family and all those of his loyal followers when he was running from king Saul.
The genesis of the fulani bandits started when their cattle would graze on Hausas farm crops and conflicts would arise, with very bloody results. The farmers may poison their cattle or even kill them outright. The Fulani react by slaughtering farmers.
With the Fulani seeing their livelihood threatened by the Hausa, they started forming militia groups to protect themselves. They quickly transistioned into criminality as a way of sustenance. They have now gotten out of hand. Its like cult groups who initially started to protect their members or students but have now gotten out of hand.
They also complain that Hausas discriminate against them in civil service employment.
Many of these bandits cant speak Hausa and only Fulfude which is the language of the Fulani. I doubt they accept outsiders. It is strictly Fulani.
When they want to kidnap, past victims say they exclude the Fulani. They go pillaging, stealing and kidnapping to make lots of money. They have never propagated any islamic agenda.
Some aggrieved bandits have dropped their weapons when government addressed their grieviances. The vast majority wont as criminality brings in vastly more money now than cattle rearing.
It is sad that the FG poor response to these bandits have emboldened them. Buhari, who identifies as Fulani seems to sympathise with them to some extent and has been relatively soft in handling the issue.
Boko Haram will be difficult tp defeat as they are fuelled by a religious ideal. They can only be contained. They are motivated by a selfless cause which they are prepared to die for, believing it will bring them rewards in the afterlife.
The vast majority of the bandits on the other hand are now fuelled by greed and filthy lucre. They can be flushed out if government chooses to rise to the occasion The only difference I can see is the ethnic one. I know that already. |

Everywhere on social media, you will never see a single Igbo supporting Tinubu, save one called Ada Anambra and Chigozirin Ahmed. You can't even tell if lthey are real Igno. femisplash: Look at this Itibolibo, Was there any people called Anioma during the British expedition?.. The Anioma in present day Asaba settled as a result of migration from the old Benin empire. It is also instructive that the Midwest wasn't created as a result of marginalization, Awolowo was a proponent of minorities having their independent states from the major tribes, hence moving the motion at the federal house. While Midwest was created through referendum, Azikiwe rejected the call of COR minorities their rights to independent states. It's of no use arguing with an ignorant urchin Go and read the book, Building a nation: An autobiography by Dennis Osadebay. Also, you can Google the Ekumeku Wars. The Western Igbos were named Anioma by DO when the present-day Ohaneze was formed. The Ahaba and Anioma are highly educated and we have a well documented history. Even the Binis can't be arrogant and ignorant to talk about any territorial claims in Anioma. The wicked Brits forced a union with the equally callous Yorubas because of the losses they incurred in the almost 100-year Ekumeku War. They had also suffer dearly during the Arochukwu Wars waged by our Eastern brothers. So, the Brits knew that keeping us together will portend great danger to their rule. They used divide and conquer tactics and separated us. When the Biafra started we all knew instinctively where to run to: the Igbo heartland, Biafra, despite the bombardments. Why didn't we run to Benin-City, Yorubaland or Hausaland. Don't be foolish. If the minorities were serious like the Mid-West they would have gotten their referendum like the Southern Cameroonians did. They were not marginalized so those being used by the Brits and Yorubas couldn't make a headway. |

BloomingDale: That land was former Benin Empire, then Western Nigeria, them MidWest, then Bendel, then Edo and Delta. When was it ever Igbo land? God punish you and Benin Empire The British conquered the Ekumeku warriors and lumped Anioma with the wicked Yorubas knowing fully well we're Igbos. After experiencing first class marginalization at the hands of Awo and Akintola, Osadebay mobilized and got the Mid-West. The same Osadebay was one of the founding fathers of the Igbo State Union. The Nigerian Army carried out a genocide on the Ahaba people because of our Igbo ancestry. Never you repeat that nonsense again Thief.nubu cum dump |
