Idrismusty97: @bolded that is the point! Just because they aren't comfortable with the Arabic inscription doesn't means it should be removed. In the same currency all the other languages are written signifying the worth of the naira e.g Nàírà Méwàà, Naira Iri and Naira Goma. Notice both the Yorubas and Igbos write in Latin alphabet. If the Hausas preferred to write their language in Arabic alphabet why stop them? When are the "Hausa" states going to write their state laws in Arabic? |

vedaxcool: Regardless of the bigot laden statements so far on the thread, this remains the main reason why Ajami was used on the naira note, CAN is really working though, through ignorance,it is raising the next generation of lord resistance army fighters, who rather than demand good governance would prefer finding new fronts to fight Muslims. Any nation where people put bigotry and fanaticism before tolerance is doomed to be stagnated. I know that English is our national language. Some state governments have also adopted indigenous languages as official languages in their states. However, i am not sure any state has adopted Arabic as an official language. If none of the federating states/ethnic groups has adopted Arabic as an official language, do you not find it funny that Arabic is adopted, from the backdoor, as an official national language? What is funny, is your threatening people about the use of Arabic in Nigeria. What else can you do to the people of Alakio? |

LFJ: Knowledge is power, you must be joking to think that the government will not be interested in knowing where your $500,000 to buy a house is coming talk less of $5m. Just try and send $10,000 western union like 5x to Nigeria within a month if a file will not be set up for you to monitor your activities. I guess u think $5m is N5m. Even in Nigeria where anything goes, I will be surprise if N850m activity is not questioned. The system is not stop you from buying what ever you want with your money but when you are called for questioning, you must able to give account of your source of money. but Tinubu is experienced in money laundering. You know he has been in that business for a long time. That was how he organized a big drug racketeering syndicate. He has improved on his money laundering skills since he was imprsoned by US court. |

Abacha did not loot public treasury. Alone. Buhari was his senior colleague in the army naw. Buhari and Abacha looted public treasury together. |

Buhari is injustice himself. He killed people extrajudicially. He locked people up as a tyrant. He stole the money Fela worked hard for!
Seun Kuti, Sue the federal government to recover the money Buhari stole from your hardworking dad. Buhari was jealous that someone can be talented and people appreciate the talent. Sue them for the money and sue them for damages. People have sued dictators like Pinochet of Chile for the evil ad injustice they suffered. You will win the case in court and you will get about $50 million in damages. Contact me to file the suit for you. |

President Jonathan, give this man a medal! whether alive or post-humus. Tell Minimah to fish him out. Whether it is against policy to award medals in civil wars/internal operations or not. This soldier, and his comrades (who were fired on with an rpg) and the one lying dead by the edge of the lake, deserve commendation. |
