ogbronx: Yesterday, on my trip down south, I sat close to a saTANiod. We didn't talk to each other until I asked about what he went to abj for. He was wearing (proudly) the power apprenticeship t shirt given to about 7thousand of them and were promised automatic jobs. I asked how he got invited and he said it was just by phone without prior application. So I told him its automatic 7 k votes to gej. Politics right? I explained that to him that if the fg was sincere, it would have done so long ago not when they need your votes. We argued about BH issues and he tried to blame the northern elite and elders. I knew I had to teach him something without saying much because he was quiet intelligent but ignorant of Naija polity. I asked him a simple question. I asked if the nigerdelta elites and elders did anything to solve the nigerdelta militancy. was it not an administration that was competent that solved it? Did that same admin albeit a moslem president not also finish BH insurgency before he died? I have noticed that many of my pple of SS are just ignorant of the Nigerian politics and pdp 's games. I don't want to to talk about the IBO's because I know a few(my close friends) that are outstanding but many too are ignoramus individuals. This admin has sold lies to the masses and created ethnic tension and suspicion more than any other . GEJ is failure personified! you are just a blind bigot with your ibo friends. to win the Nigerian presidency, you need 20,000,000 votes. Do you really think employing 7,000 people scratches that? |

Eziachi: George Bush will be lynched on the street of America, not asked to resign if Alqeada had taken a metres of U.S territory, never mind 16 local government areas, never mind renaming U.S cities with some Arab names, never mind hoisting some strange flags and never mind sharing sovereignty with Shekau. If some of you takes the toga of Nigeria poisonous ethic politics off your eyes for even a second, you will realise how indefensible Jonathan presidency has been on just insecurity alone. Don't even go to corruption. You are just a slowpoke. The confederate Army under General Lee invaded the United States and nobody touched Ibrahim Lincoln till the wahabbist John Booth shot him in a theatre. The third president of the United States (Adams?) suffered an invasion by the British. The British burnt down Washington DC and the whiteHouse. Nobody lynched him. president Jonathan has performed absymally on security. I used to think the appoinment of Badeh was a masterstroke but I am begining to hav serious doubts. (I bet Badeh were deceived by the NSA and diplomats negotiating with BuHari in Tchad.) I hope he notes that Ibrahim Lincoln changed commanding generals of the US army the way Obasanjo changes sleeping partners, befor he got to US Grant who finally started getting results. (it looks like the Nigerian Army school of infantry is better than all your so called universities. all you guys do is dogon turenchi. no facts, no sense.) |

I am not sure you are smart so I shall ask you to ask around. Go and read about the War of the Roses, the english Civil War, Oliver Cromwell and King Charles 1, and Magna Carta. thegreatman4ww: OP, read the below links with open mind, logical reasoning and understanding brain.
Any contrary opinons or fact, kindly provide with substantive evidences. Thanks you. Hmmm. So officers fled because some civilians travelled. Are the civillians supposed to fight boko haram? I had thought the soldiers ran away because they met overwhelming force. You now imply they fled because civilians were evacuated. (I do not in any way concede any helicopters came into Mubi to take Badeh's family out of town). Your reasoning is just ridiculous. |

bombay: Afonja of Ilorin was pathetic.
At the zenith of his glory, he was the greatest and most powerful Yoruba ruler. His undoing was the invitation he extended to his Fulani priest to come and reside in Ilorin. It was only a matter of time before an insurrection was made against him; he eventually died by the hands of the Fulanis. With Afonja’s death came the transfer of power as Ilorin which was before then a Yoruba town went into the hands of the Fulanis. Like Ijaye, Ilorin changed; a town that was once ruled by an Aare came under the firm control of the Emir. Are you saying we are going to have an Amir of Lagos. What of if the present Oba change his title to Amir, will the umyaad be happy? |

The Commander-in-Chief of the British Armed Forces is a position vested in the British monarch,[1][2] currently Queen Elizabeth II, who as Sovereign and head of state is the "Head of the Armed Forces".[3] Long-standing constitutional convention, however, has vested de facto executive authority, by the exercise of Royal Prerogative powers, in the Prime Minister and the Secretary of State for Defence, and the Prime Minister (acting with the support of the Cabinet) makes the key decisions on the use of the armed forces. The Queen, however, remains the "ultimate authority" of the military, with officers and personnel swearing allegiance only to the monarch.

I tire for the calibre of people who see on NL o. your mumu no get part two. Britain has a head-of-state and commander-in-chief of her armed forces who is equivalent to President. Right now it is queen eliza. Under Chamberlain and Churchill, the equivalent of President was King George VI 1936 - 1952 (crowned in 1937). |
