I bought 24k on June 2015
I sold it later to get a bigger phone but I miss the long battery life. No phone battery can ever beat that in Nigeria. Especially with this erratic power supply. I cant remember carrying my charger all about except when I'm travelling and staying for long. Cos no matter how heavy you use it,it will last till night time. And coupled with the fact that it charges to 75% within 45 min. Argh.
I miss the phone die.
I wanted to purchase it again as a 2nd phone only to discover the price have gone seriously high.

serious i Cant see any form of exploitation here. a state government decide to give her own people subsidy on Education and you call it exploitation. how much is d schoolfees in other state compared to ust.

I wish we could stop using emotions and READ CAREFULLY what someone posts. When I read responses like this and I dont mean it rudely its either people are not educated and cant read or havent read it at all.

1 @ Titugirl, if you are born and rasied there and your parents own property, uhm doesnt that make the person a RESIDENT.
2 @ ewizard1 if you have a business there and pay taxes doesnt that make you a RESIDENT.

Though I wont claim to have read the entire proposal, I think what they are trying to curtail are those that shop for cheap schooling within state universities, which as I mentioned before are cheap for certain reasons. I personaly (Im not from Rivers) see nothing wrong with it if its specific to RESIDENTS

To make it ONLY for indigenes will be very hard since from a social legal standpoint how do you do that? What if my mom is from Rivers and my dad from Lagos. Also there are those that migrate to other states settle learn the language and even change their name, they may seem like it but are not indigenes. So you see the complexity.

I think they are referring to residents since you can set predeterminded guidelines to establish residency.

I acyually think its a great idea as you capture so many things by it.

If you dont pay taxes your kids cant study there for cheap
If you dont contriubute to the states economic well being ( in any form) why reap the benefits , if you want to, pay extra
It will make states that perform well to attract residents and as such business

In the larger scheme of it, if implemented well is a great idea actually

Those opposing this do realize that this is the case in some western countries? Ask anyone who has lived/schooled in the US. State schools are cheaper for state residents. The idea behind it is that residents pay taxes and will/ have assisted in the up keep and wil likely do so when they have graduated. Usually one can get residence after staying for sometime any paying taxes etc. If you dont agree go to a federal school.

Why do we like to protest and use terms like marginalization/tribalism as if its in vogue. Come on lets use the grey matter God gave us.
