Startimes latest strategy is reducing the cost of their decoder to N3900.
The problem with that is, the best channels start at N2000 a month where as Gotvplus(Premium package) costs only N1500 per month.
Startimes will still sell but it will only be to the very less priviledge and those who dont know about gotv. Now if gotv goes on massìve campaign, the target audience for startimes will just be beggers on the street due to the low cost of their decoder.

Larry37: i have just activated my gotv here in mowe and the reception and quality is good despite fluctuating btw 55-65% go go go go but there is no bbc on there gotv plus bouquet as advertised any info

If you read my earlier post, you will see that bbc was never part of the gotv package. You are entilted to aljazeera on gotv and both aljazeera and cnn on gotv plus. If you ask me two news channels is enough.

How come you independent sellers sell at a higher cost than slot? Whats so special about ur playbook that u sell at 49k when slot sells at 45k with external 4g moderm? Do ur visibility studies before you fix your prices. Most nairalanders are looking 4 cheap realiable products not over expensive ones. I tried the mtn bb complete week and got just 250MB of data. U could try and be lucky but i bet my ass dat etisalat is truly UNLIMITED. People download data of over 10GB on etisalat.

Sorry my pips. I believe justice will be done. I have an mtn line that use to receive calls while i use etisalat for data and making calls. I always have phobia of recharging my mtn line cause i know thier tarriff is high. Do like i do and keep mtn as a second line.
