@tkb
we just lack the killer instinct upfront on Sat.
Sauron is right though as per your temper when it comes to manu underperforming.
Dem guys piratically spent most of the second half in villa's half plus it didn't help that Fletch was restricted to right back.
I still blv cos with all the injuries and our lack of goals from our other front men we are only 3 points behind.
Jaybee
how is this different from what ive been saying

i said
Rooney and SAF threw away the game

1) Rooney's decisions were poor and he threw away many chances
2) SAF could have used Owen right from the word go instead of Giggs

all these reasons above are just another way of saying what u said above just that im putting the blame on some certain individuals which u guys ae not doing
so what is different?
semantics abi?
@ Emperoh,

TKB and Eastbay need temper management. . . . . . . .They must be the worst knee-jerking United fans i have ever met.
What is so wrong with SAF's formation against Villa? Had Rooney taken his chances, we won't be here discussing whether this formation worked or not. United had all the possession, created many chances but the players let Fergie down with their atrocious passing of the ball and terrible decision-making in the final third.

Berbatov had his surgery barely 2 weeks ago so leaving him on the bench is understandable. He was also on the bench against West Ham.
He missed the games against Chelsea and Pompey. Michael Owen played 90 mins against Wolfsburg away from home and he is 29 so his exclusion fron the first team is also justified.

United played a lone striker when we demolished Arsenal 4-0 at OT some seasons ago.
I did not see tkb417 here complaining about the result. United played with a lone striker against Liverpool when we tonked em 4-0 at OT in 2007/8. . Eastbay did not complain about the formation then but now(with the benefit of their blurry hindsight) they are talking bollocks.

.
u dont want us to fight Sauron shey

is Arsenal Aston Villa?

I think this nucca is suggesting that BerbaSuck was scoring 23 goals per season. Why else would anyone describe 23 EPL goals in 2 seasons (11.5 goals per season) as prolific?
the last time u accused me of not using ma brain power; wht do u think i shd say to u nau?

ure a dolt Ibime

Berbatov scored 23 goals in 06/07 season
Berbatov scored 23 goals in 07/08 season

dude im just seeing this

i dont know whats driving you but i guess what you hope to achieve in say 10 years shoud determine what you will do today
Like you said, the academic environment wouldnt necessarily reward you financially for a long time. I also believe that sector is in ruins cos of the negelct from Govt and other stakeholders. except ure considering moving to private UNI which i doubt will help matters

the negatives in the edu sector would push me to the advertising thingy although i dont know nothn about that sector.

No2Atheism:
Zizzou also has the same tepid and laissez-faire appraoch to his game . . .the problem is that Berbatov is playing the wrong position . . .

Berbatov is a roaming attacker who is capable of scoring goals . . .however he's natural instinct is not score first ask questions later. . . he's natural instinct is to play good football and create chances while attacking.

The unfortunate thing for Alex Ferguson is that he wasted the money on him . . . cus the reality is that Tevez was better suited to ManUTd's game than Berbatov . . . Arsenal is more suited to Berbatov's game . . .

Going to ManUtd was a big mistake for Berbatov . . .
hasty conclusion

u dont know what ure saying. hes getting better @ UTD
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread by tkb417(m): 11:41am On Dec 15, 2009
Berbatov is not a striker pure and simple . . .Berbatov is an attacker (more specifically he is an attacking midfielder) . . please note the difference . . .
he scored goals as a top man for Leverkusen and did well in his partnership with Robbie

hes the highest goal scorer of all times for Bulgaria at age 27!! meaning he can score

but why is he not scoring for UTD?
his misses are unforgivable and his goals atimes are classics!!
berba is good but he has issues i swear

U have no valid point. . . . . . the strikers were benched against The Chavs yet weren't you amongst those very satisfied with the play?
I don't know footie cos i don't appeal to your opinion? Tell that to the marines. . . .and come up with better excuses!!
u need tutorials on these things
the strikers were benched for who? GIGGS!!!!

Giggs played as a striker so how that looked like what we played against Chelsea is a miracle
we stiffled the mid against chelsea/Barca to crowd out their more skillful midfielders.
against Villa, we played 2 strkers!!!
Rooney and Giggs
why Giggs and not Owen is the question?
change ur TV quick

Would you expose your full backs when you know your opponents' main threats lie with their wing plays?
And that hwas exactly where they hurt us from? So man, you should learn to do better football calculations rather than your stance.
jesus wept!!!!
Villa used 2 strikers against UTD and UTD are scared of going gong ho against who again?

Aston Villa grin
merry xmas and happy new year
hehehehehehehe

Aston Villa were not scared to use 2 strikers but UTD shd be scared cos of Young and milner
lawd have mercy grin grin grin grin grin

manchester United not hull city o
case closed
its best u dont respond to this

for many years, we have been playing 4-4-2 and suddenly we shd be scared of the best wingers in the world ( Young and Milner of course)

Eastbay:
Fergie believes so much in this lone-striker sickness because he got results with it.
Aston Villa were tailor made for a 4-4-2 destruction job.
Instead he decided to fiels a half-fit Giggs at the expense of Owen.
As for Rooney,he can be a giraffe sometimes.Saturday was one of those days.
His decision-making was more like -5/10.
a normal Rooney woulda gotten 3 goals on that day

no wahala, we are soldiers and we live to fight another day

but wait, who do we keep our strikers on the bench nowadays?

Against Barca, all our prized assets were on the bench while Barca came gung ho (understandable its Barca)

Villa? whats happening?
if we dont need them strikers, cant we fcking sell them?
when they are injured, we'll be unhappy they are not fit, now they are fit we are keeping them on the bench

i'll slap that man one day i swear
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread by tkb417(m): 9:03am On Dec 15, 2009
and i think SAF needs to shut up about REFs
its getting nauseating

win your games and fcking leave the REFs alone

we had our personnel to win us games sitting on the bench and when his tactics blew in his face, he noticed the REF wasnt adding the normal time needed.

His experiments with this team is costing us games and it will happen in probably a UCL game when the game woulda ended b4 he knows it. We are only calm about this cos its a league; now we are counting on Chelsea to stutter again. how many times are we gonna be presented with such opportunities b4 we grab them?

i say again, some things were not just right on saturday and SAF caused it
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread by tkb417(m): 8:57am On Dec 15, 2009
Emp,
How do you explain dropping Owen? There simply is no valid excuse. The strategy fergie employed was a dud. What more will Owen do to deserve a start?
Fergie can't be ranting about added time when he's not doing his own homework.
ure not the only one who asked the question

everyone i know who watched the game asked the question even when the game was 0-0

why put a striker whos not injured to sit on the bench and when we were trailing, he sent the 3 of them to the field shocked
its absolute ludicrous and i still believe the man forgot his brains at home

Rooney? hehehehe
we lost the game cos he decided to be a doofus
one on one passes to get us goals, its either the pass wont get there or it will be too much

his decision making was 0/10. Thats unacceptable
