The truth is that, it's always good to make an extensive research like you are doing before embarking on any project as this, either online or offline.

For the fact that you sought for advice on this forums and obviously stay glued to this thread, replying and responding to messages, mentions and feedbacks show how rigidly determined you are to start this your business.


To be honest with you, the mortality rate of infant business in Nigeria now is very high, extremely very high. Most especially in this Buhari regime. I can't recall how many of my clients' shops, stores and restaurants that have closed down for the past two years and they keep calling us to either help sell off their wares or take over the management of their business and balance them the principal capital later.


Starting up a new business doesnt always go the way we planned from the outset, it used to come with 50-50 chance. So sometimes, the budget we scaled to establish a new business will either go high or low.

For this reason, this is why I always encourage anyone who is planning to venture newly into a start-up business to take things easy, slow down but keep it steady. Invest and watch, then invest again.

My advice is this.... Whatever business model you finally resolved to invest the money, you should properly scrutinize it, carry out a survey and conduct a proper feasibility study. If it's viable, then invest 2/3 of the total amount you have with you and watch it for a while...

With this, you will get to know if the business can succeed/survive within some spate of time. Do not be deceived with the status quo of 'the more money you invest, the more profit/sale you will make'

You will get to know just as you begin to thrive.


On the contrary, why not study how Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE), Share, Bond and the rest work? A greater understanding of Stock market may spur you to invest there while you make chase for another money, till you garner up some substantial amount that will give you the option of choosing among several other options of business.

Or consider buying a cheap land on a remote area. You can always resell your land and get back your money with some mouth watering margin?

I will suggest you learn the skill first. Alot of persons are in a haste to start a business and make profit without learning the skill properly.
I intend to start mine in the compound where I will be living. And am looking @80k - 100k. When I start will come and do testimony on your wall.lol.

Boxers is a good market product especially for the men and in recent time, statistics and stores have realized ladies are getting comfortable in the use of boxers for bed- time, research have even shown that even the old people are beginning to see the benefit of the boxers.
This recent discovery has really made the sales and demand of boxers go high, and in Nigeria the growth is still @ the young/early stage.


Physical sales alone would bring you a good ROI base on location and your strategy.....

Sure. The logistics should include the following:

(1) A rented space (since you don't have the capital to buy your own land and erect a building; rented space is even relatively cost effective, for a starter).

(2)interior fittings- air conditioning system, televisions, tables, chairs, ground tiles, wash hand sinks, lavatory e.t.c

(3) Kitchen utensils, cutlery, refrigerator, plates e.t.c

(4) A strategic location- somewhere that will be very open to prospective customers.

(5) Reserve at least a four month salary in advance for your employees (say two to three employees)

There are more to the logistics than what I wrote above, just run a feasibility study and market survey. A friend of mine started his with less than 300k, and the venture is booming.
