Study visa is mostly treated in Kenya now!!! About been submitted to Kenya—I believe it is been transferred to Kenya from Lagos cic.

Can they still send in a medical request after this correspondence letter.

I got a mail that my processed passport is ready for pick up. No medical mail nor upfront medicals. I had presumed it was a refusal and had prepared for the worst.

I got there today, picked up my package and tore it open to find my passport with the attached slip. Mind you my Online Account is still on Eligibility check.

The only message I received last week was correspondence mail.

someone experienced same some couples of weeks ago on the thread.. you might need to try to contact him/her to know what this implies.

A friend got his student visa for Canada and he has paid his acceptance fee in the university but he doesn't intend to go to the school yet because he can't afford it. So, he wants to get in and defer so he hasn't paid any part of the tuition. What do you think he should do? Will the border officials let him get in without paying tuition? Even though he has paid his acceptance.

If the school is too expensive, your friend can change to a cheaper school but must notify the IRCC after entry or can get admission for the desired cheaper school and show Border official, you can do that on my cic account. If you don’t have intention of schooling at all Biko stay put!!!

I really thank you both for your response. I don't have any software engineering related experience but the courses I did during my B. Eng undergraduate studies met some of the prerequisite for the software Engineering program, that's why they gave me the admission. And it was stated in their website that the program is also for professionals desire to make a career change to Software Engineering. Does it make sense to alight the my last point on my SOP for the visa

You need to make research on how they correlate and explain it clearly in your sop, also stating how it is a progression of career and a prerequisite. or else you might get denied based on purpose of visit.

Getting admission and visa are two different thing. I can’t answer this question as I am not inclined to this area of study however if you think there’s a career progression from elect elect to software engineering go ahead if not ask around. Is elect elect prerequisite for software engineering according to centennial requirements? If yes you can establish same reason to the VO via your SOP.

I just got a mail from them to pay 2300 Canadian dollars to secure my admission dpot and go forward to process my visa. Please who has applied to this school before. Yes you have to pay the 2300 in part actually. 200cad for administration fee and 2100cad for part tuition.i got admission and I have paid also.

But you can’t work until school start I learnt and I also heard that going earlier( more than two month before resumption) isn’t a good idea. You might need to make your researc.

If its a medical request, your medicals shouldnt take more than 5 days to be updated.. But if its Upfront, it takes more than 5 days.. For nstance, I did my Upfront Medicals on the 28th of March, Qlife sent it to CIC on the 31st of March and it was updated on the 11th of April.. So my point is it takes les timewhen it is a Medical request.. Peace

It's normal.... Give them some time let say this week. If you don't receive any update on your account. Then, I would advise you a raise a CSE and send across the medical sheet that was given to you after your medical exam at Q-life to kenya, nairobi immigration department. Congratulations as I await the good news

It takes 3-4 working days for your medical result to be finalized and sent to IRCC database. Were you instructed by IRCC to undergo a medical exam? If so, you should receive an update soon on your MyCIC account.
