A 2013 TL is a mighty good car. It's more nimble and fun to drive than a Lexus GS. Yes, you can own it as a first timer, just ensure you maintain it using good quality parts and fluids, use veery reputable petrol station and if need be, get some octane booster.

Tip: Get the unit with the SH-AWD, it's way fun to drive than a Mercedes C Klasse or a Lexus GS and it's very reliable cos it's from Acura the Honda luxury division.

So I started this course by google on Coursera sometime this month. it was billed for $39 per month. The program contains 7 courses, each course is to take at least four weeks.
however, when I signed on to the course, it gave me 7days free trial, and me being a graduate of OAU where we were bombarded with heavy course works, the Oyinbo schedule was light work. I finished course 1 and got its certificate before 7days. I continued to course 2 and got to the final quiz before the free trial elapsed.
Now, I want to pay the $39 hoping I can finish the whole program in a month but I am not sure if they would allow me to proceed after doing one month's worth of course work or just demand further payment to proceed.
Is there anyone here who is familiar with how Coursera works and can shed more light?
please enlighten me.

I dont Know if youre familiar with android app lifecycle from onCreate() to ondestroy(). So what I mean is that sometimes when the system calls onPause() function on your app while it is running _{(by maybe rotating the screen, or call comes in, or you navigate to the homepage)} , by the time it calls onResume() if the user is working with som data that has not been sent to storage, that data will be lost. The broad gist now is that ViewModel helps you to store that data, so its not lost, and LiveData helps you to keep updating the UI, such as changing the values of a TextView in real time from the LiveData without needing to manually write code to do that outside of the ViewModel class

I dont know if i explained it well, but thats how i understand it

Are you leaning from Android documentation?

Are you refering to the official courses on developers.google.com? if yes, I actually started there, but given i had been learning java before, and the initial pace was quite slow, i ditched it first.

i went to youtube to get some Kotlin crash course videos to get me up to speend on the peculiarities of the language. Having done that, now, i try to look at (youtube,mostly) tutorials that focus on specific components such as retrofit, dependency injections, etc. I also folow tutorials that actually teach how to build a specific app from start to finish.

intrestingly, i went back to the official android developers platform yesterday, because i wanted to build my google developer profile (https://g.dev/Toluwani). I took few quizzes there yesterday, and earned the badges, without fully going through the content. I'm doing this so i can get the google certified developer associate

Yeah, Il looking into that path too. The android phone available to me right now is faulty, so that may, or may not work.
Seems like i will have to dualboot linux eventually later on. Running the emulator in a separate window seems to help a bit for now too,on the side of RAM. Its Mr. Gradle Build that wants to murder my tiny processor

So far, i've been busy working

I can say im confident working on the xml file that determines layouts of elements on the screen. Ive learnt to work with and use TextViews, EditTexts, Buttons, constraints, cards, change theme colors, and switch between pages with intent. As at now, it seems Jetpack Compose is gradually becoming mainstream, so i'll be looking to learn that too.

Ive been having issues with power, though. Seems like I might need to start visiting hubs or workspaces. Also, my machine is not that fast. Even though i upgraded ram to 8GB, the core i3 processor is still a bottleneck. My first pay from my first job or contract will definitely go towards getting another laptop (even if its not my dream Dell XPS 17 2021/2022 core i7 embarassed

Btw, along the line, I crafted my resume, updated my linkedin profile and tried to see what skills are needed in the android developer employment career

Next items on the list to work on as i go forward:
-Learn Jetpack Compose
- Learn Retrofit
- Learn how to work with Firebase

While
- Learning Git, and building my github profile
And
- Building more projects

(Maybe i would still create a wordpress site to display works sha)
