I was just trying to make the place neat since people say hygiene is a big deal with broilers, that's why I change the wood shaving every 3 days.

To be frank, the correct answer is 6 months. But I strongly recommend BoA for any of us who lacks fund but genuinely wish to go into agriculture. I and my brother have applied and we got the loans. Guess you've made the error from when they were Day Old chicks. Broilers have a marginal rate in weight gain. They lose their ability to gain considerable weight as they grow older. You should feed them ad libtum from DOC till you get your market weight.

Cut your losses and move on. Next time, rear inky what you can afford to feed fully (no rationing). Note that it will take you around 6-7 weeks to attain 2kg weight and they should have co aimed between 3.8kg - 4.5kg of feed in that time frame depending on your level of skill in their management.

I have about 200 broilers they r 10wks old now and not well grown. They consume 175kg per. Week. How can I boost their immune system n growth. Whithin 3wks.

Praktikals:
If i rear broilers until they begin laying egg and incubate the eggs, will i get day old broiler chick. i intend to do artificial insemination.

Whoa! Your broilers look really clean and nice. I have done everything to make my own broilers look good, but they keep dying, and they look sick (except from some few). I am just frustrated right now. This is my first time. I keep going back there, and asking them what I should, and they keep prescribing me drugs, which I keep buying, but they keep dying.


I am thinking maybe it is the breed they sold to me. They didn't have much feathers at 4 weeks, but they assured me that they would grow the feathers well back. Right now, my friends just keep laughing at me, cos they discouraged me from going into the business. But I want to prove them wrong. Please, give me tips on what to do, or what medicine to give them to make them stay healthy.


Also, what is the size of your broilers right now...howmany KG do they attain when you are ready to sell them? Lastly, where can I buy really good Day Old Chicks when I am ready to start another round of chicks? I stay around Iyana Ipaja, but I can go anywhere for very good breeds. Thanks.

I am missing mangu. I love their water melon, d weather too hash, miss u guys. I redeployed even b4 getting to camp. We all, almost live in fear in mangu. Good morning all. I built chicken eggs
incubator and I have tested and hatched my
first batch of eggs successfully from local hens
eggs (9 out of 10 eggs). Please I want to know;
how do I get broiler eggs coz I intend going
into hatchery. I'm in Port Harcourt and no
farms around has fertile eggs to sell for me, so
how do I go about it. Thanks!
