Romance / When Is The Best Time To Have Sex With A New Partner? by Tmicheals123(m): 4:03am On Mar 02, 2019
Sexual decision making is tricky for most of us. There are so many different factors at play — the excitement of being with someone new, social expectations, gender roles, not to mention sex drives and hormones!

Be clear with your partner about what you’re looking for in sleeping together. If you want your relationship to become more serious, tell your new partner that you'd like to sleep together, but that you want to have "the talk" first. If you’re just looking for a good time, you can say something like, “this doesn't have to mean anything other than what it is.”

You can be casual about it (no need to deliver a lengthy monologue about your five-year plan) while still being clear.

The answer obviously varies by relationship. What works in one relationship will not necessarily work in another which is why the dynamics of a relationship is what should determine what partners do in it, even beyond the issue of sex.

According to a study published in the Journal Of Sex Research, waiting to have sex or getting straight to it has no real impact on relationship happiness.

Romance / 5 Keys To A Healthy Sex Life In 2019 by Tmicheals123(m): 1:05am On Jan 16, 2019
Especially if you had a bad sex year in 2018 and want better in 2019, the steps below will guide you there.

When it comes to satisfactory sex, the genders have always had one or two things to say about each other. Up till the end of 2018, women still complained of the scarcity of men who actually pay attention to their needs. That ever-existing need for pre-intimacy still seems to be going largely unmet. They say many times, all men want to do is stick it in and get it over with.
Wham bam, thank you ma’am.

For men, the allegation levelled against women is that they are too reactive and not as spontaneous, adventurous or as involved in the act as they should be. They accuse women of wanting to get maximum pleasure from without giving much in return.

This is not to say there aren’t couples who have somehow managed to surge to a level of constant sexual satisfaction. For some couple, the sex is explosive every single time, all year long. Whether they have all the time in the world, or if they have to quickly get to it, the results are the same.

Becoming the couple that enjoys a blazing sex life is not really rocket science. You can get there, too. Especially if you had a bad sex year in 2018 and want better in 2019, the steps below will guide you there.

1. Identify what the problem is

You will not know what to deal with if you do not find out why your sex life is not as great as you want it to be. For couples who once had it but lost it, finding out the cause of the downward spiral will be very important. Could the dead sex have come from deeper emotional disconnection? Identification of the problem is very necessary if you are going to move away from boring or an inexistent sex to sparks-creating magical love making at all times this year.

2. Focus on healthy lifestyle habits

Exercise more, eat more healthily, drink more water and consume less alcohol. Get fit. Just concentrate on doing the right thing and getting your lifestyle habits on track. The healthier and better groomed you are, the better.

3. Don’t let things get stale

No matter how long you’ve been together, make an effort to be seductive and keep your erotic connection fresh. Put some surprise into the relationship. Break the predictable pattern every so often. This can help keep desire alive.

4. Keep an open mind

Pursue your fantasies, seek out your satisfaction, tell your partner what you want. Do not let always guess what pleases you. Be upfront about it at all times. If you want it, let them know that you want it.

Education / JAMB Pegged 2018 UTME Cut Off Mark For Varsity 140, Polytechnic 120 by Tmicheals123(m): 11:51am On Jun 29, 2018
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) finally announced the cutoff mark for the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

This announcement was made during its policy meeting held in Osun State including the exam body and heads of over 650 tertiary institutions involving Vice Chancellors, Rectors, and Provosts of tertiary institution in the country.

At the meeting, it was agreed that the 2018 UTME cut off mark be pegged at 140 universities, 120 for polytechnics and 100 for Colleges of education.

Speaking to Mashable Nig on Telephone about the cut off mark, JAMB’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dr Fabian Benjamin said the cut-off mark was not determined by JAMB alone

He said: it is not JAMB, cut off mark is determined by the universities. It is not the issue of JAMB.

The exam body had on Monday, June 25, 2018, announced that the cut-off mark for 2018 UTME would be determined at the policy meeting holding in Osun state.

Apart from the cut off mark, the board at the meeting with heads of tertiary educational institutions also decided on the date for the 2018 post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination exercise.

According to JAMB Registrar, Prof Is-haq Oloyede, the post JAMB exercise will start from July and end in December 2018.

“The leaders of the institutions agreed that the First Choice Admission Exercise would be conducted from July 2, 2018, to October 16, 2018; while the Second Choice Admission Exercise would be conducted from October 17, 2018, to December 17, 2018,” he said.

Another outcome of the meeting is about the dip in candidates performance in the 2018 UTME.

Crime / Re: From Lose To Killings, Nigeria Has Had A Terrible Week by Tmicheals123(m): 4:05pm On Jun 28, 2018
Uhmm. Exaclty! Our leaders are ignorant of what is expected of them. They thought providing social amenities and stability for the country solves the indifference? No, it doesn't. Nigeria security is at stake!!!!
Crime / From Lose To Killings, Nigeria Has Had A Terrible Week by Tmicheals123(m): 3:43pm On Jun 28, 2018
This week has been so terrible for Nigeria and it obvious that 3 calamities befall a democratic nation having over 196 million population. Today is just "Thursday" and the country has experienced nothing but "Hell".

Plateau killings

The week started off on a bloody and sad note. On Sunday, June 24, 2018, there was a deadly clash between farmers and herders in Plateau state. The body count was unfortunately high. Initial estimates placed the lives lost at 86. According to international media, the number is above 200.

The violence is the latest from the herdsmen crisis which has escalated within the last year into a serious and complex problem that the Federal Government has found difficult to solve.

The Vice President and President traveled to Plateau later in the week to meet local leaders and sympathize with the lives lost. Despite their attempts, there is a still a general mood skepticism that little or nothing will be done about the herdsmen crisis.

Poverty capital of the world

While still dealing with the aftermath of the bloodbath, the World Poverty Clock announced that Nigeria is now the poverty capital of the world on Tuesday, June 26, 2018.

According to its current estimate, around 643,527,400 people all over the world, 8% of the world's population, are currently living in extreme poverty.

Of that figure, an estimated 86,977,400 are currently living in Nigeria, a number that accounts for 44.2% of its current estimated 196 million population.

According to the World Poverty Clock, the poverty in the country is still rising with a negative escape rate of -5.8.

At its current progression, Nigeria is expected to have 119,766,229 people living in extreme poverty by the year 2030.

The Federal Government has responded to the figures by the World Poverty Clock, saying that the figures are outdated. This was the first bruise on Nigeria's international reputation this week.

Super Eagles defeat to Argentina

On the same day, the Super Eagles painfully left to the 2018 World Cup in Russia by losing to Argentina 21-. The national football team conceded a goal scored by Marcus Rojo in the 86th minute. Football and heartbreaks.

Coming into the World Cup, optimism was sky high based on global attention of our jersey and the individual talent brimming in our squad. Sadly optimism does not yield precious 3 points.

After a mediocre display against Croatia, the Super Eagles flew and demolished the Vikings for Iceland only to lose painfully to Messi and his gang.

It was a sword in the hearts of millions of Nigerians who not only wanted the Super Eagles to qualify for the 2nd round but finally defeat Argentina in a World Cup game.

Health / General Hospitals In Nigeria Are Not Worth It by Tmicheals123(m): 2:11am On Jun 27, 2018
It is so sad that general hospitals in Nigeria are not worth it when it comes to the aspect of taking health-related issue as a paramount responsibility. But, unfortunately, many individuals who are diagnosed at times travel out of the country to take proper care of their health.

It is so pathetic that even our leaders who think they are providing the amenities needed by the citizens whereas they are playing political games without taxes, civil right, and freedom. Who can tell? Constructing good roads, bridges, and all sort, can it bring good living? when there are no facilities that can guarantee our health surety.

Pay a visit to any of the General hospitals in the country and you will see for yourself the pathetic condition in which Nigerians are being treated in their own country.

I have heard stories of how patients on admission are placed on a drip on the corridors of the hospitals.

Education / JAMB: 25% Scored Above 200 Out Of 1m Candidate – Oloyede by Tmicheals123(m): 1:44am On Jun 27, 2018
Prof Ishaq Oloyede, Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board stated that 414,696 candidates, out of the 1,603,181 who sat for the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, scored above 200. The figure, according to him, translates to 25. 09 percent.

This is against the 465,025 (27.00 percent) of the 1, 606, 374 who scored above 200 in 2017.

The JAMB boss, however, said that 558, 673 candidates scored above 190; 739,490 above 180 and 956, 937 above 170 marks.

He revealed this on Tuesday during the Policy Meeting held at the newly inaugurated Bola Babalakin Auditorium in Gbongan, Osun State.

Oloyede, however, warned that scores released by JAMB were not the cut-off marks.

According to him, they are the minimum marks required while the cut-off marks are arrived at from the cumulative consideration of candidates’ scores or grades.

He added on other regulations guiding the process, “Every candidate is required to accept or reject his/her admission before the process is said to be completed.

“Candidates can now protest their admission status should they feel they are not fairly treated.”

Speaking at the event, Adamu urged authorities of higher institutions to work with JAMB to sanitize admission process in the country.

Romance / 5 Questions You Shouldn’t Ask Women During Sex by Tmicheals123(m): 5:57pm On Jun 21, 2018
Communication has been well established as the bedrock of successful marriages and relationships.

Sometimes it motivates so many of the decisions we make in our lives, we certainly tend to do a bad job at it more often than not. For every great sex story we have, there are probably several others that we’d rather forget. To help you on your naked adventures and hopefully prevent some awkward situations with future partners, here are five questions you should never, under any circumstance, ask during sex.

Couples are rightly advised to be comfortable with each other to the point of being able to talk about everything, anywhere at any time.

This rule only has a slight modification and it is that during sex, your ability to communicate needs to be tempered so as to not kill the mood. So you actually can speak, but not about everything.

1. Are you cumming?

Speaking as a guest which was hosted by Awosanwo Oluwatosin explains that women don’t like it when men ask this particular question during sex.

According to her, instead of preoccupying yourself with this thought, “just keep doing what you are doing and when [your woman] gets ‘there’, you will know.”

On the other hand, she says, men could actually be pardoned for asking this because most women are yet to develop the confidence act of actually discussing what they like with their partners, and without this, men can’t really be blamed for wanting to know if they are getting things right or not.

2. Who’s your daddy?

Expressing an opinion on why guys should avoid asking this question during this sex, Inemesit says “I get the whole BDSM angle to the question but if I’m [being shagged] by someone and he asks ‘who’s your daddy?’ the first thought that comes to my mind is my father, and that’s not who I want to be talking about when having sex.” Don’t ask who her daddy is. She knows it’s not you.

3. Don’t ask questions about your size

“Is my size what you are used to?” “Do you think I’m big enough?”

Women are turned off by questions of this nature and would rather have you stay off the subject during sex so as not to dampen the mood.

4. Can you tell if it’s in yet?

What sort of sticky bog have you two created down there that would require you to ask her if she can tell if it’s in yet? What external part of this poor young lady’s body are you ramming into that you’re mistaking for her lady parts? A great way to get the answer is just by looking down. Surprise! You just made love to the bend of her knee.

Career / Why Your Opinion Should Be Different by Tmicheals123(m): 10:54am On Jun 08, 2018
Opinion is a belief a person or someone has formed into a topic or issue. As a matter of fact, people's opinions usually trap one's say over an issue. I know you'll what to ask why? The reason is that your opinion will always super cede other people's opinion despite convincing you to understand what they want you to do.

At place work, we kept deliberating on how to run a business successfully. I stated that; a grip of a one-man business and kill the business. What am I saying in essence? My boss seeks our opinion and every one of us spoke our minds to on how we felt about how we've missed a lot in the past one month.

I felt bad and unhappy all because we couldn't attain the task he has asked us to do, unfortunately, he stopped having discussions with us. He left us with someone who's capable of listening to our opinion and give it a thought before going back to the boss.

If you think, you can't speak for yourself why not try it before deliberating? I've come to realize that, no matter what you know if your opinions aren't well assumed and executed you might be missing a lot of things which may cost you years to retrieve.

Our politicians are business minded ones, in fact, their opinion is raking billions of naira into their accounts simply because that's their own opinion towards embezzling the nation's funds. If our leaders have done this, how much more do they expect from a citizen? Aftermath, they instruct Policemen, SARS, and other force body to arrest whosoever disobeys the rules and regulations as it is written in the constitution. You can't help your self if you don't choose your opinion as your striking pistol. Mind you, I am not writing nor referring to being biblical.

We all have freedom of speech as a citizen of this country. Be it your place of work, amidst friends, families, and folks. Let your opinion be different and clarify your stance in your decision making & taking.

Health / Nigeria Ranked As Abortion Search Country In The World by Tmicheals123(m): 6:56pm On Jun 06, 2018
Ghana and Nigeria are the two countries with the highest search interest in Misoprostol, an abortion pill, the BBC reports. Misoprostol goes by the brand name Cytotec.

According to the BBC, data of countries who search for abortion pills the most was sourced from Google.

Google data shows how often exact phrases are searched about a topic.

“Abortion pills” is a top search phrase on abortion in all the countries analyzed by the BBC.

“How to abort” is the most commonly asked question in more than two-thirds of countries.

“How to use Misoprostol”, “Misoprostol price”, “buy Misoprostol” and “Misoprostol dosage” are among the most common searches around abortion.

Of the 25 countries with highest search interest in Misoprostol, 11 are in Africa and 14 in are in Latin America.

All but two of the countries–Zambia and Mozambique, either ban abortions altogether or permit them only to save a woman’s life or health.

Countries with stricter abortion laws do the most

The BBC findings also suggest that countries with stricter abortion laws have greater search interest in abortion pills.

By buying pills online and sharing medical advice through WhatsApp groups, women are increasingly turning to technology to sidestep legal barriers to abortion.

Whatsapp groups on abortion pills have become the modern face of the so-called “DIY abortion”, the BBC writes.

Countries with the strictest laws, where abortion is allowed only to save a woman’s life or banned altogether, have over 10 times higher search interest in abortion pill Misoprostol compared to countries with no restrictions, BBC analysis shows.

Abortion is legal in Ghana only in cases of rape, incest, foetal impairment or to preserve a woman’s mental health.

Nigeria’s abortion laws are stricter. Abortion is only allowed in Nigeria in situations where a woman’s life is in danger.

Business / 10 Lucrative Small Business Ideas For Students by Tmicheals123(m): 10:47pm On Jun 05, 2018
If you are a Nigerian student and you are reading this article, the truth is that you can start a side business as a full-time student and still keep up your good grades. I will show you 10 small lucrative business idea you can venture into as a student that will guarantee earnings on regular basis. Mind you, before I could come up with this, I’ve also experienced a business idea among the listed small lucrative business below which in turns brought income for me and it drastically changed the way I use to ask my parent money for “this and that”. Even after school, the business I started is still what I use to earn today.

It very pertinent for you to understand this when your business begins to span it could maybe the service you are rendering to your clients/customers have made them your constant consumer. A grip of a one-man business kills a business. You should understand that, your business won’t just be at a certain pace, it would grow day by day depending on the motive of the business owner.

There are three excuses students usually give when the issue of running a side business in school is raised: “I don’t have time”, “I don’t have money” and “what’s the point? I don’t lack anything.” Before we go ahead to the 10 lucrative small business ideas, I feel it’s important that I address these excuses and rid your mind of them.

Time: The ideas discussed in this article are all side businesses. You only need a few hours every day to effectively execute them. Most of them you can work on during the weekends. These are times you normally spend on trivial stuff. Why not invest that time and create a beautiful and profitable future for yourself?

Money: You don’t need a lot of money to start any of these lucrative small business ideas; for some of them, you don’t need money at all. They are small business ideas – at the most, N10,000 to N15,000 should be enough to get you started.

Why? What’s the point: Here are 4 important reasons to consider starting a side business while in school.

1. You prepare yourself for life after school. The labor market is usually not pretty; nothing is guaranteed. The only way to make sure you don’t go through the painful process of job search is to start your own business and the school is the perfect place to prepare yourself for that.

2. You set up contacts, client base and networks that you can draw from when you need them.
You gain vital experience: this is usually the time you harness your skills and gather experience that takes you further after school.

3. With each success, you increase in confidence and with each failure, you increase in learning.

The slogan for your success is simple: whatever you do, do it very well! If you don’t possess the necessary skills to start any of these businesses, I urge you to invest the time and money to acquire them. Consider any of these lucrative small business ideas to start. Let’s get to it then!

1. Typing and Editing Business

Most students have to need to type their assignments, projects, and thesis. If you have a personal computer, you can start up a typing business.

How this works is you collect the handwritten assignments and type in the evening, after school. If you lack speed-typing skills, install a typing tutorial software like Mavis Beacon and start practicing.

After typing, you take it to a computer center to print out at N20 per page. You can charge between N50 to N100 per page for each typing job. This gives you a profit margin of between N30 to N80 per page. If you can type 20 pages per day, that gives you 800 – 1,600 daily and 4,800 – 9,600 weekly in extra income.

2. Recharge Card Business

There are 2 ways to run the recharge voucher business. Either you deal in bulk recharge card printing, which is still very lucrative although costlier to start, or you sell as a retailer.

You can buy bulk units of N100 and N200 recharge cards and sell at a higher prize. Most wholesalers sell at the 10 units of N100 recharge card for N920, this gives you an N80 profit after sales. You can easily start up this business with as low as N5,000. Here is a detailed article on how to start the recharge card business in Nigeria

3. Organize Tutorial Classes

You can organize tutorial classes for students in lower classes in your department. There are courses that are usually tough and difficult to understand, and students taking that course will not mind paying someone to teach them the course.

I organized web design lectures for my course mates during those days in school and they paid me N1,000 each for the duration of the course. Another way is to charge say N100 for each tutorial you organize and if 50 persons turn up, that gives you N5,000 for the day. To organize a tutorial, you need to find a place inside the school, and then inform the course representative to tell the class of an upcoming tutorial session.

4. Sell Compiled Past Questions

Nothing sells fast in school like past question papers, especially as exam date approaches. You can get past questions from your department and other departments, solve the questions with the help of your textbooks, then convert it to short handout and sell to students during exams. You can sell the handouts for N200 or less depending on your production cost.

5. Used Clothes Business

This is usually known as the Okirika clothes business. It involves buying used clothes and reselling to students. N10,000 can get you started on a small scale okirika clothe business. You should focus on Jeans, shirts, shoes and tops.

It is important to meet people who are already in the business for guidance before you make your purchase. This is to avoid burning your fingers in bad business.

6. Hair Plaiting/Styling Business

I had a friend who used hair plaiting business to offset all her school bills. What she did was, during weekends, she would visit student hostels and ask for students that wanted to make their hairs. She plaited and fixed weave-on.

You can learn to plait hairs and fix weave-on, and offer the services for a fee in school. You can charge as much as N500 to fix a weave-on and N1,500 for plaiting of hair depending on the going rate in your location.

7. Manicure and Pedicure Services

A lot of female students fix their nails especially during weekends. You can offer a home nail fixing service business. You can purchase the basic equipment needed for fixing nails with N3,000 and charge as low as N300 for each service rendered.

Romance / 5 Reasons Couples Come To Counseling by Tmicheals123(m): 10:58am On May 30, 2018
There have been a lot of questions trolling in about Why do couples really need counseling? According to a relationship therapist, there are majority of couples who say they are seeking out counseling. Writing about this topic is something i felt we should take cognizance of before getting to the brisk of losing out in our relationship. There is still a heavy stigma and misunderstanding about counseling in general. I hope this post can clear the air and shake up your assumptions or misconception about counseling.

1. Couples come to Counseling is: “To communicate better”

It is very important to understand that, communication is a tool which humans can never do without within seconds. Stimuli in the human still communicate. It is not necessary until you open your mouth to talk. We all want to learn how to communicate better, right? Conflict can erupt whenever we feel our partner doesn’t understand or hear us and this can be challenging to every and any twosome at some point of their relationship (regardless of how amazing or strong their relationship is). “Learning to better communicate” is actually more about learning to listen and building self-awareness around why you don’t.

2. Couples come to Counseling is: “To get closer”

With huge population of couples out there who seek out counseling services to help their awesome relationship grow. “Premarital counseling” helps couples who are getting married learn more about each other and prepare for stressors and issues in the future. Several married couples have stated how counseling helped them “get closer”. Alysha; I have been married for 2 years now, and we rarely fight and have difficult conflict. We seek the attention of our relationship therapist once a month to consistently strengthen our foundation so we feel more secure and connected. It’s been the best investment we have ever made.

3. Couples come to Counseling is: “To prioritize their relationship”

Let’s face it, we are SO busy as a society! We rarely have time for ourselves, let alone have the energy to prioritize our relationship sometimes. Date nights often come out of necessity, (i.e. “want to grab dinner?” purely for the fact that we both need to eat, not because we want to connect), and we struggle with coping with our own emotions and stressors from the day that once we see our partner we are ready to just unplug, not reconnect. There’s is nothing wrong with experiencing a rut or a routine that helps you unwind, I may add, but “the problem occurs when you’re so deep in the rut you can’t connect with your partner anymore.”

Career / Thought Of Lifestyle Blogging And Finding Your "Blend" Of Content by Tmicheals123(m): 7:30pm On May 26, 2018
I have been going through a lot of thoughts recently about lifestyle blogging and I discovered that lifestyle blogging is a niche where you write about your personal experience, share your opinion, your ideas whereby you put it into writing and share with your readers to let them have a clear understanding about your own view and perception.

A time, many bloggers tend to mix up lifestyle blogging with fashion & beauty niche which has one particular focus, lifestyle blogging is a unique blend of interests pieced together by the author of each individual lifestyle blog.

More so, finding topics to write about lifestyle blogging is not necessarily going to give you a tough time, rather it gives you more stability to span your writing skills.

Having started my Industrial Training months I began to align myself with lifestyle blogging, although my blog is an all-around niche.

With this shift to lifestyle, rather than a specific topic, I feel I am able to better share a ‘blend’ of topics which interest me at this stage in my life.

In today’s article, I am going deeper into what lifestyle blogging means for me and how you can hone in on the ‘blend’ of your own lifestyle blog.

Celebrities / “if I Don’t Have A Baby, I Will Proudly Adopt” – Linda Ikeji by Tmicheals123(m): 11:36pm On May 24, 2018
For about a few days ago, there has been an internet hullabaloo about Top Nigerian blogger, Linda Ikeji who had really made headways in her media pursuit. Although, being a media personality, she has claimed to be a woman of herself whose aim is to be a successful entrepreneur rather than going into any relationship.

In fact, it was leaked months ago that Linda Ikeji was engaged, although her younger sister, Laura Ikeji probably made that as a stunt to make such as the “discussion of the month”.

However, there have been controversies about her using a baby bump and claimed to be pregnant. To the extent that a lot of her followers on her Instagram handle reacted to this. Blogs, Online TV, and other media platform broadcasted it and it began to span.

Kemi Olunloyo, a controversial journalist, stated that her pregnancy was “fake”

Ikeji revealed her six-month-old baby bump on Sunday with a lengthy emotional post, chronicling her journey and her excitement when she found out she was pregnant.

Reacting, Kemi Olunloyo on her Instagram accused Linda of wearing a prosthetic bump. She said Ikeji was neither engaged nor pregnant.

However, Linda in a post addressing Kemi Olunoyo’s claim queried why someone who she helped while in prison could utter false claims about her pregnancy.

She noted that she would have openly adopted a child if she was unable to conceive contrary to reports.

According to her ”Here’s the next thing I want to address. Most of the people who know me will tell you that I have a heart of gold and maybe that’s why God never stops blessing me. This woman (you know who…lol) has been trolling me for years and calling me all sorts of unprintable names which I have never responded to. But when she cried out for help last year, despite the abuses I’ve gotten from her, I sent money to her account.
