Hi everyone. this is such a great thread and lots to learn from. After going through, I noticed that the majority of people who are applying have PHDs or using the advanced degree route for eb2 niw. Is there any one who has successfully done the exceptional ability in arts route? If yes can you please shed more light on evidence submitted? thank you. |

justwise: 1. I don't think your visiting visa will be cancelled
2. I'm not sure why you want to complicate issue for yourself , why do you want to travel this early to stay for at least 4months before your course starts, what will you tell the immigration officer at POE if asked? And what will you be doing in the UK for that long? To work with visiting visa or student visa before school starts? Thank you for your insight. Was just weighing options. |

Please can anyone help me with these questions:
1. Will my visiting visa be cancelled when I get a study visa?
2. Can I travel on my visiting visa now (even if I have a study visa starting in September)and stay there till my study starts?
Or do I have to return to Nigeria again and enter UK with the study visa in September?
Thanks |

SandraDee: If you are all applying together, then you will use the main applicant's GWF number...I am sure there is an easier way of finding this but I can't remember so I will give you a slightly convoluted way. Log into the main applicant's application and click on the drop down beside his name on the top right. Click on download pdf and the number will be on the downloaded pdf. Thanks so much!!!! I found it |

My family and I plan to stay with my brother for about a month when we arrive and rent a place later on. After filling that I will stay with my brother for a month, .... another question came up “Will you be staying anywhere else in the UK?” If I choose YES, it will ask me for address and details and I don’t have that.
Or can I put that I will stay with my family for the whole duration of study? We are a family of 5. Please help!

Please can someone help me with this question. Please help. TMJDiva: Hello everyone:
Kindly help me out here:
Is it wise to submit 2 different account statements to the emabassy?
I have paid my deposit but I have the tuition balance in my husbands pounds account
But The living expenses fund is in my own account ( applying as a family).
Should I covert the balance to naira and keep it in the same account as my living expenses ? Or move the funds to my own pounds personal pounds account?
Thank you all. |

LagosismyHome: Ok cool, TMJDiva you need to note that part in bold that if you intend to go that route. Provide evidence of the childcare you intend to make when you are in school
It is based on probability so it can be rejected as well.... so depends on the case worker Thank you so much for your help. |

Cyberknight: You'll be better off if you have a family member/friend in the UK you can totally rely on - coming to the UK alone with a baby planning to take it out to a childminder/creche every so often so you can attend your classes while trying to adjust to a new environment will require a herculean effort on your part.
My advice - recruit a suitable female relation and leave the baby at home with your husband and instead travel with one of your older children, old enough to either be in primary school and be comfortable sat in front of a TV for the 2 weeks quarantine period/any time it takes you to find a permanent address before you can register them in school. Bottle-feeding wont kill anyone. Then when your husband's done, he brings the other two children across. Thanks for your suggestion. I appreciate it |

mimilyrics: He doesn't have to apply at the same time as you, he can apply for a visiting visa pending when he's ready to live in the UK. When he's ready, he can then apply with the other kids but you can apply with the baby since a having nursing baby with the mother is essential to the wellbeing of the child and is treated as extenuating circumstances. You all don't need to apply same time if not travelling at the same time because the vignettes are currently valid for 90 days because of Covid-19 till the end of this year and this might or might not be reverted to the usual 30 days validity after Dec 31st. I understand now, thank you so much. |

LagosismyHome: Great advice Mimilyrics, however TMJDiva please note that your husband cannot be on visiting visa if you plan for the kids to be with you
For kids to apply then both parents have to apply for Tier 4/ dependent visa. I have seen couples were after the visa, the man comes with the kids and then leave and go back to Nigeria. It all seems fine but I cannt advice on that fully because i dont know if there any implication when it comes to renewal/ PSW ....... Wow. Thanks for this great advice. He plans to join eventually like 3 months after . Do you think that will be ok? The only problem I have is if I can travel alone with the last child initially? While he comes with the other 2 kids a month we after I get there. But we will all apply at the same time. |

mimilyrics: 1. Getting a good job after studying is dependent on how well you sell yourself and your skills to prospective employers. If you can't effectively sell yourself, you wouldn't get a job no matter how well-suited you are for the job. 2. If your baby is still nursing, you can explain this in a cover letter along with a consent letter from your husband and your baby's birth certificate. It usually helps. 3. Within 10 days of arrival, sometimes available for pickup before your arrival so you can pick up the very day you arrive, if possible. But with Covid-19 rules, you can't pick up until after you complete your self-isolation; the post office or your ACL will keep BRPs for 90 days before returning it to the home office. Yes, he can do that as long as he doesn't stay away for too long. If he wouldn't have sorted himself within 3-6 months, he'll be better off getting a visiting visa to visit you until he's ready to live in the UK. Thank you so much for your reply. |

Hello everyone, hope you are having a nice weekend?
Please can the experts help me answer a few questions? Thank you in advance.
1. Is Healthcare Management a good course to study? In terms of finding a good job after and finding sponsors after study?
2. I want to apply with my husband and 3 kids, is it possible for me to go first with my baby and my husband joins maybe in a month or 2 with the remaining kids or must we all have to travel together
3. How long does it take to get BRP? (I’m not sure if that’s what it’s called). Can my husband get his within 1 month and travel back to Nigeria and sort out his work before he eventually joins us?
Thank you so much. I appreciate all your imputs. |
