Kampack:
Please, I need clarification here, I have read the first page as well as some some research but not getting much clarification, rather, more confusion.
What is the difference between ween subclass 189 and 190? Is it just the POF and the fact that 190 is state nomination? Again, what does state nomination mean? Does it mean that once after application, the different states will be granted access to your profile, and then contact you if they are interested in you? Lastly, in all the subclasses, which has the highest potential for a positive outcome or more flexible?

From your terms, I can see you also came from Canada thread so let me use it to relate to you;

189 is like the straight ita on Canada thread, when you get your grant ( PPr in Canada) you can reside anywhere in Australia, but unlike Canada not all jobs groups ( SOL in Aussie, NOc in canny) can apply for this 189. Your Job must be listed on MLTSOL ( meaning jobs that Australia will be needing for a long time) . If your occupation is listed on STSol or ROL ( short term sol or region sol) you can only apply for 190 or 491. 190 is like provincial nomination in Canada while 491 is like Atlantic migration just that you will not be needing a job offer before application like in Canada. 189 is very competitive even for the MTSol occupation, so if your point is not high enough90 and above, it is advised you apply for 190 or 491.

Like Canada provincial nomination, Australia states have their minimum requirements and occupations in demand. You have to visit the states website to know if your occupation is in demand there, if yes, you also know the requirements and method of application. Also note that Aussie is point based similar to Canada.
Saskatchewan province in Canadahas a special grid/ ranking , so does ACT have Canberra matrix.

The first step to apply is to get your skill assessment. For Canada, you write your ielts and do your ECA, but Australia own is more advanced than just ECA. Each occupation group has its own accessing body. You have to check the assessing body for your occupation, go to their website and check their requirements. Some require English competency like ielts, or pte academic ( eg EA and the body for teachers) while some do not. Others like TRA require minimum of 3 years experience in the occupation you want to assess. These assessment body in addition to assessing your experience, also assess you qualifications and relevance to the job occupation . For some of these bodies, they deduct 2 to 6 years from your work experience if your qualification is not relevant to the job function, ( eg ACS and Vetasses) while some others it is outright negative outcome ( eg TRA). This is the first major hurdle in processing Australia skilled migration visa.

If you get a possitive assessment, you have to enter the skill select pool by creating account there. In skill select, you can create many profiles unlike in Canada Express entry pool. In Canada, lots of ppl select interested in any province for nomination, but in Australia, you create separate expression of interest ( eoi) for each of the provinces that nominate your occupation. If you receive invite, you apply by submitting your documents. After that comes the nomination. With the nomination, you apply to DHA which is equivalent to CIC in Canada.
After some months ranging from 7 months to over 1year after application ( for 190 or 189) visa, the grant comes ( PPr in Canny) grin grin grin. In that grant, you will see your initial entry date ( IED), try to enter Aussie b4 this date.

Now, Aussie application is expensive compared to Canada. You should budget like 2 to 3m for processing/ application fees if you have a family of 3 from skill assessment to grant.

After you get grant, budget from 800k to 1.3m for flight for 1 person.

When you reach your destination, accommodation is another thing. Rent is calculated weekly. Don't fret, it is similar to Canny. Regional areas are cheaper.

When you scale all these, the sky is your starting point as Australia has almost the highest minimum wage in the world.

To answer the last question, they say 491 is the new gold as the competition for 190 is stiff and provinces prefer to give 190 to ppl already working and residing in their state, that does not mean you cannot go ahead and apply for 190 if your points are high enough.

With these few points of mine, I hope I have been able to convince and not confuse you that......

I studied Animal Health Technology (HND).
I will be 42 this year.
I have more than 10years work experience.
I have checked anzscosearch and I found Veterinary Nurse as my related profession.
I saw 190,407,491(s/t),494,TSS(S) in front of the profession
What are my chances?
Which state or reckoning is nominating that job?
How much is the proof of fund for Australia?
Thank you

I'm glad you said the people you know. I know over 6 people who are not on Nairaland who have gotten ITA from TAS and ACT with 65 and 70 points since December till May, 2020. Please note that not everyone running this migration is on Nairaland. A very fresh one I can remember got ITA as a Cabinet maker with 65 from TAS within 12 days. Another got with 65 from SA - ICT Customer Support officer before the occupation moved to 75.

491 Family sponsored visa also gives you the 15 points.

Ways to get nomination faster is to assess for occupations like technicians roles with TRA. We hope July will bring forth good tidings

Please that your guy that got ITA from SA -ict customer support, was it for 190 or 491?

Thanks bro! You are correct about the assumptions that I have surreptitiously sneaked into this thread from the Canada thread.

You have also brilliantly illuminated dark areas causing confusion. Infact, your explanation reads a lot more comprehensive than the Aussie govt. Immigration page! grin

I have checked the occupation list, and I think I fall into the 242111 category, I can also see VETASSES against it. The entire process sounds more complex and complicated than the Canny option. grin. Consistency also seems to be an issue. Sometimes, they say SOL, at other times CSOL, and now I see MLTSSL! My little research suggests not less than 95points will be needed! This is tough!

Anyways, thanks for the clarity. It really helped.

Please wait for the ogas to come and "torch light " your matter.
While you are waiting use the point calculator below to check for your estimate points;

https://www.anzscosearch.com/points-test/

I did not see much for states nominating your occupation, Northern territory is but they are not accepting applications from offshore ( ppl not in Aussie) due to Covid, same thing with Tasmania, also ACT is but they are closed at the moment. Nsw is but it is not available as Nsw have met their quota for the year.

You can create account on the anzscosearch link provided above so that after your search for occupation, you can search for specific details about the states nominating your occupation

The ogas will help you confirm if your education can assess for that occupation because of course relevance, if no, they will advise you on any other close occupation that can be assessed.

Are you married? What is your spouse's qualification and/or occupation?

The nomination for veterinary nursing is slim at this stage. There may be a change from July 1. NSW is open for 491 nomination but it is not certain. If you have family in SA, you can get nomination.

Why not state your all your roles since you started working. Also states your first degree and possibly school or number of years the course was taught.

To check your ansco code or know if your role is needed in Australia, you can go to www.anzscosearch.com, search, search by tasks , you will see suggestion of the matching job codes.

Also check the job function of marketing specialist and see if you fit.

1. Did you have an interview with “Australia Travel Authorization (ATA)” ?

If yes, next question.
If no, why hoping on something you did not apply for?

2. Why is Australia writing to you through Gambia?
Google the address, the phone number, the email address, you may be able to get a clue.

3. When did you take the interview? When did you get their response? Why the urgent deadline? 11th June 2020?

4. Half of the email is talking about money, and how to make the transfer? Does that sound right?

5. In what capacity is Jerry V Comb writing to you as? What office does he hold in ATA? Google him too, search him on LinkedIn.

6. A lot of grammatical errors in the email. Do you think Australia's DHA will actually craft a mail like this?

Well, if it is real or not, I don't know.
Let your answers guide you.

SKILLS ASSESSMENT AND ELIGIBILITY FORM

Have you done skill assessment in your chosen occupation? What Visa subclass is this Skilled Nominee Program. The Australia Point test system for offshore is mainly the 3 subclass 189, 190 and 491. Does this fall under any of them?

I will be conscious of making any payment if you haven't done an assessment or apply to a particular state for nomination

No 1 questions is how did you hear about snp?
Where did you first contact them?

I can bet that it is 98% scam.

When I saw this line,
"Kindly reach us with the filled Skilled Nominee Assessment Form (SNAF) ,"
I wanted to think along the line of them being agent but no MARA agent can write in the tone that is written in those letters , also, no mara agent can promise to influence the decision of DHA as they said.

"PROCESSING TIME – In many instances, the invitations to apply for Nominated Migration Program takes several months; but due to our stand in the Immigration sector, we are able to scale through in few weeks (less than a Month) pending a quick responds from the nominee and the nominated states/territories.
Note: To be accepted as a Nominee in this program is based on the accuracy of the information provided in this Form and evidence backing your proof which will be established when the application is review."

I smell a big rat.

Have you paid them money in the 4 stages you purportedly did with them?

At belong, I just read that SA has stopped payment of first home owner grant. WA and Nsw pays up to 15k aud. Can you shed more light on this as it might affect the decision of chosing province to settle.
