Am not much of a poet but to me the best gift i could ever give is 'sitting to compose a poem for anyone'.
This would be my first poem here on NL and it was instigated by a damsel(bholutife18) that i was oppurtuned to meet out of Nairaland.
She is one person I couldn't fathom. Almost attaining perfectness.

A giant soul of grace
Gifted to her like a myriad existence
No word could express, neither sentence
How she sprung past beauty with pace
.
With a smile that encamps the soul
Melodious voice like a mockingbird
Beauty that enchants the nights head
A complete damsel, she is, in a whole
.
What further words could jot her cuteness?
Which pen dare ink her awesomeness?
What price holds her? Cent or pence?.
Who dare behold her love amidst the highnesses?
.
Her competitor only would be nothing
For only nothing could be compare to her
To her beloved only she answers
For only her beloved could dare her calling
.
Who am I to dwell in thy bosom?
To behold thy face and eat at thy table?
Who am i to ride alongside thee on thy cattle?
To hold thee close and to cure thy lonesome
.

I still believe having you is a fairy tale
A complete dream and a funny factual fiction
And if it’s a nightmare like I mentioned
I wish never to wake till my last breath, I exhale.
