Last night, Beyonce has released her fifth studio album without warning. Referred to as the "visual album" and titled Beyoncé, it was made exclusively available on iTunes without any announcement—and has already made quite an impact. The surprise album lunch brought down iTunes as millions of fans rushed to download her latest work with 80,000 copies selling in three hours. Two versions of the self-titled album - one featuring explicit language and another family-friendly version - are currently ranked No.1 and 2 of the iTunes albums chart. A press release notes that Beyonce "has been the target of leaks", explaining that the iTunes-only launch "is a fully designed preventative plan. The album will be offered as a cohesive body of work with every song and every video available all at once for one single purchase." The album which has 31 tracks (14 songs and 17 videos) features guest appearances from the likes of Frank Ocean, Drake, and Jay-Z. Track 11 titled 'Flawless' features renowned Nigerian novelist Chimamanda Adichie's TED speech on feminism and the women's societal roles. This album is definitely going to sell by the numbers. Smart move Beyonce! Have you listened to the album? What do you think about it? http://www.infonubia.com/2013/12/what-beyonces-surprise-new-album.html |
airmark: Reminisce tried on this album. But Olamide's BGEL still edged him.I think so too. |

Just wondering though. Hope this strike isn't all about ASUU's salary. Hope there are plans to revitalize our higher institutions. |

kennyonthrone: Portin 2 mars wouldn't b a bad idea...planet earth is a failed entityThe grass always seem greener on the other side. What makes earth a failed project? I would say it's the people on the earth. Imagine if these people 'port' to Mars, it will fast become another failed project. |
Monstertrucks: dude, please how do i apply, reply asap.Yo sis, the application deadline had passed. Lol. And why would u rather live in Mars, with all it's uncertainty, for the rest of your life? ![]() |
Black Peni5: Well well well...Hope this will put an end to ASUU strikes for ever and ever Amen.Unfortunately, I don't think this is the end. Human beings are insatiable. There'll always be a reason to be disgruntled about something and if a strike is the only avenue to get the government's attention, they'll do it again. |
.banito:I think so too. It's cutting too close to the Christmas holiday. There'll be no point in having students resume only to return home after a week or 2. |
Over 200,000 people have applied to live on Mars as part of an ambitious proposal by private foundation Mars One to establish a human settlement on the Red Planet by 2023. The application process opened on 22 April this year. 202,586 applications from 140 countries were received through the online process. The applicants have agreed to stay on the red planet for the rest of their lives – and be filmed for a reality TV program. The Dutch group wants to launch a supply mission that will land on Mars as soon as October 2016. A ‘settlement rover’ will then land in 2018. They added that landing systems will be tested eight times before they are used to transport humans – a move that Mars One said will make the trips ‘much safer than moon missions’. From the 200,000 applications, between 24 and 40 candidates will be selected to participate in a seven-year training program that would start in 2015. Current applicants have three more rounds to get through before the final selection. Would you sign up for such a trip knowing that you'll never return to earth? http://www.infonubia.com/2013/12/over-200000-people-apply-to-live-on.html |
The Federal Government and the leadership of Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, led by its President Dr. Nasir Fagge yesterday, signed Memoradum of Understanding (MoU) on the restructured 2009. Agreement. ASUU President, Dr. Nasir. Fagge said the document signed would be presented to the union to take an affirmative stand on the suspension of the 5 months old industrial action. He said with the signing of the MOU the 5-month-old strike would be suspended in a week’s time. According to Fagge, “This is the response to the letter we wrote to Mr. President and this document would now be forwarded to our members and our members would give us direction. We are hoping that we would be able to meet with our members in less than a week. I don’t have the power to call off the industrial action, it is only our members that can do that. And our members gave us a message to give to the Federal Government which we have done and within one week our members would meet. We already have the document which shows that Government is committed”. The ASUU President said the development and revitalization of Nigeria’s education sector is the work of everybody. “It is never too late for the nation to turn a new leaf and do what is right. Other countries that are smaller and less powerful than Nigeria have done it and have succeeded. It is rather unfortunate that Nigeria is not close to some of these smaller nations around us. It is now, we must properly fund our universities, we have lost lot of capital to nations like Ghana and Togo”, Fagge said. He therefore assured Nigerians that ASUU would not take long in ensuring that the right thing is done as soon as possible. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/12/ASUU-call-strike-week-signs-mou-fg/ http://www.infonubia.com/2013/12/ASUU-signs-agreement-with-federal.html |

ikelvin: Exactly I'm also a non yoruba but I also feel Remininsce Dan Olamide and as an igbo guy I feel zorro Dan phyno cos I know what d both are speaking or saying in their raps.Interesting...I feel like Phyno can do no wrong in my eyes. Maybe it's because I don't understand Igbo. But that brother goes hard on his songs. His a baller that definitely deserves a BALLERship ![]() |
Hi Mods, please help appeal to the supermods to reconsider this thread. https://www.nairaland.com/1545739/album-review-alaga-ibile-reminisce As usual, I appreciate it! |
Signaturen: As a non Yoruba I feel Reminisce more than Olamide and I think he is the better rapperI see your point though. Reminisce doesn't really like the "indigenous rapper" tag. He raps very well both in Yoruba and English. |
Come to think of it, there's an app that creates these effect on photos. |

The story behind the picture is that an apparition of an Angel appeared in a shot taken by some kids while at the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Ebute Meta, Lagos. I really doubt if it's real though the source claims the picture wasn't photoshopped. The image does look like a scene in a horror movie and I'm not sure Angels look like this. What do you think? http://www.infonubia.com/2013/12/real-or-photoshop-angel-appears-in.html |
South American country Uruguay is set to become the first country in the world to allow its citizens to grow, sell, buy and smoke marijuana. The country's Senate began its final debate Tuesday on an audacious and risky plan to create the first national marijuana market, with the state regulating the entire process of growing, selling and using a drug that’s illegal almost everywhere else in the world. They claim this is in a bid to take the business from criminals. If this bill, which has the support of majority of the House and the president of the country, is passed, Uruguay will be the first country to legalize a trade that is illegal everywhere else in the world. After the trade is made legal, Uruguay will then draft regulations imposing state control over the cultivation and distribution of marijuana. Anyone who wants to grow and sell would have to be licensed and registered, with government monitors keeping tabs to enforce limits, such as the 40 grams a month that any adult will be able to buy at pharmacies for any reason. This is just the beginning. There is a push to legalize pot in the United States and at this rate, it's only a matter of time before other countries follow in the same direction. What's your take on this? http://www.infonubia.com/2013/12/uruguay-set-to-become-first-in-world-to.html |
It's Music on the Go! Lol... No, he's not moving the music box. Do you see his DJ panel and the connected wire in front? Wow! I'm yet to see such a passion for sharing music. A man from Houston saw this dude in his neighborhood yesterday, and he took a picture to share with his friends. He tagged it "hood-ventions." I have to admit that this biker is very creative, and who knows? This could be the next stylish transportation for all bike-riding music lovers. I thought it was pretty funny and smart! Laughter is a good medicine for the heart. It works faster than drugs, and it's one-size fit all! That is, any sickness you've got, it can cure it. **Disclaimer: iNub is not a medical practitioner and this is not a medical advice.** So, CHEER UP and have a great day everyone!
