@lalaboi, are the same guy that post songs on NotjustOk? It'd be pretty cool if that's you. I'd like to thank you for giving unknown artists a platform for showcasing their talents. I visit the site multiple times a day. If you aren't the same person, I'd still like to thank u for contributing to this thread. wink

I'm glad you found this thread. Thanks for reading and educating people about this. I tell you, it happens a lot in out society but we usually attribute it to something else. Awareness is key. Thanks again!

Otor jesse: I tink jesse jagz album beat dis hands down..topnotrch production, no unnecesary features lyk d ones in FOZ.....ice prince is highly overrated IMO
While you might be right, I think both artist have different audience. Ice prince is more of a commercial rapper(so it seems) while Jesse Jagz just wants to be him - nothing wrong with that as well.
Music/RadioRe: Olamide - Baddest Guy Ever Liveth - Album Review by tnature(op): 1:04pm On Nov 22, 2013
Wow....lots of good input on this thread. Thanks to everyone that has contributed to it.

The fire of zamani album review is out as well. I posted it on another thread. You can also check it out on the blog. Pls keep in mind that the rating for FOZ was very lenient cos the album was reviewed like few days after it was released. I believe the artist put on a lot of work towards the album so we didn't want to discourage anyone who wanted to get the album.

Thanks again for your contributions. You guys are really appreciated!

Definitely not a lot of people would agree to perform such stunt.
Music/RadioRe: Ice Prince - Fire Of Zamani! - Album Review by tnature(op): 12:13am On Nov 22, 2013
Uyi Iredia: Unfortunately, I ain't got and probably ain't getting the album. Even if I get a debit card the online price of album dey discourage person. But the singles are all great IMO, Aboki, Gimme Dat and I Swear. All smashing. But I didn't feel Tipsy. The thing is lyrics are almost the same so the beatz has to be top-notvh and Tipsy didn't cut it for me, tho' its good. If the tracks I've heard are anything to go buy the album is great but OBVIOUSLY Oleku from E.L.I kills them all, even without French Montana undecided

That said, trnature if you work in a good spot in the music industry you giys should work on how to make music distribution easy. Ideall, as I think, I should be able to get at most #200 MTN (or some othe network) crefit and use it to get an album. Whaddya think ?
Feel your concern bro. I'm not into music distribution. Not even close.

Music/RadioThrowback: Fada U-turn Ft. Pasuma - Yetunde by tnature(op): 11:32pm On Nov 21, 2013

Anyone who grew up Lagos in the late 90's to early 2000s would remember bumping to the song 'Yetunde' by Fada U-turn.

On this week's throwback, we are remembering the Dancehall artiste who died on Sunday, November 17th after a long battle with a kidney related disease.

The 36-year-old was well known for his Galala style of music. He had worked with the likes of Daddy Fresh, Daddy Showkey, and Pasuma who on the hit single.

May his soul continue to rest in peace....Amen.

Here's 'Yetunde'...Enjoy!

Senatoresq: I'm not a fan of detailing album reviews. I just compare an artiste's new album to the previous. so that said, ELI album defines IcePrince to me.
I just don't like the idea of rapping in pidgin English. But I guess he did that to cover a larger market for his materials cos psquare revealed on their interview on d Wendy Williams show that pidgin has helped everybody that understands a lil bit of English to appreciate their songs.
I like the whiskey track in #FOZ tho
Good point. I can relate with your point in the pidgin English rap. It makes his raps sound watered down. But hey, if it was to cover a larger market, I think it worked for him. Man must continue to chop. wink

mbulela: una no go review FOZ?
How low Ice prince has fallen baffles me.
Seems the worst thing that happened to him artistically was the success of Oleku.
It exposed how shallow an artiste he is afterwards.
I already posted a review for FOZ check this thread:

Hopefully the thread makes the front page so more Ice Prince fans can have a say smiley

dammytosh: Tnature. Nice review. how come people are late about talking about this album.

I have a 6 CD loader in my car and i buy albums when they come out. Some hardly spend a week in the set but this Olamide's song sounds like one that will spend longer than the former album did in my car.

I rate the album 8/10.

Not overflogging the issue. Anifowoshe is nice. The song is VERY VERY DEEP and you need to understand d meaning to appreciate the song. It is actually one of the best.

How come you did not talk about the Skit 'Are u reecording me' I listen to that everyday.

Olamide is simply an entertainer and the Ijebu rap got me cracking.

I have bought all the major albums that came out this year and i think this album stands out.

I can proudly say that i should be among the first 50 that bought the album in Nigeria grin cos i blasted it from 6am the day it came out. smiley
Well said...

Presbulg: It's real, seen him do that a lot of times ( in movies )
The split isn't the issue. I'm sure there lots of people who can split. But doing the splits between two moving semis? That some incredible feat!
CelebritiesRe: Was Jean-claude Van Damme's Splits In The Volvo Ad Real? by tnature(op): 6:35pm On Nov 21, 2013
prymesolution: This guy is a legend! omo, see split. Most importantly, kudos to the drivers. That's some precision! I'm sure it was Chuck Norris driving both trucks grin grin grin
You are right...the drivers literally had Van Damme's life in their hands. If one of them had turned the wheel slightly, that could have been the end!

If you haven't seen the Volvo truck ad featuring the Belgian martial artist and actor Jean-Claude Van Damme, you are in luck. The video is posted below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7FIvfx5J10

Now, some have argued that this couldn't be real. How could so splits between two moving trucks? Plus, he held the groin-tearing position for over 25 seconds, with Enya singing in the background. That's some weirdly hypnotic combination.

The Volvo YouTube account says of the stunt, "This live test was set up to demonstrate the precision and directional stability of Volvo Dynamic Steering -- a world first technology that makes the new Volvo FM easier to drive. Filmed in Spain on a closed-off landing field at sunrise in one take."

The most incredible part is that the trucks were moving backwards!

Watch the behind-the-scenes footage from the stunt, including the moment when Van Damme was told the trucks will be moving backwards.

lalaboi: Its a really good album. I like majority and i wont even skip the the least interesting. .

If you don't feel Anifowose is deserving a place on the album. YOU ARE WRONG!

If you also think its not a good track per se and that it deserves 6/10. Then you have committed a sin! even God no fit forgive that kain sin grin grin

Na joke i dey o.

I'd rate it 8/10. One of the best This year!
I get ur point about Anifowose. I gbadun ur sense of humor too. You try wink
