Indifferent: Thank God for Jawons 'this year' that song kept me going when things get badThat song is an evergreen. Its going to be the most played song in the New year. Jaywon wrote his name in the history books with "This Year" |
ajasa4link: Rubbish! These jokers should just change the lyricist on the role category and rename it Mode 9 award. mtchewwww, no wonder it's a non voting category. They always find a way for him to win that shiiI'm with you on Mode 9. Does that mean no rapper has done anything worthwhile? No disrespect to Mode 9 but that award should go to someone else. Artiste of the Year is a tough one but I believe they got it right since year under review is 2012 and some part of 2013. That being said, it only makes sense for an artist with the album of the year to win that category. |

infonubia: When it comes to absolutes, only facts (and not beliefs) are needed. When it comes to religion, about half of the “facts” are opinions, based on experiences, beliefs, and readings. A quarter of the “facts” are historical events that have been tailored to suit the specific religion. Only about a quarter are actual facts that can be proven.Very true. Most of the religious fights are born out of a desire to impose one's "truth" on others. |
So you think Jean-Claude Van Damme's volvo split was bad huh? Wait till you see Chuck Norris epic Christmas split. Moe Musa's dad passed away yesterday December 22nd after a horrific fire accident caused by gas explosion in the kitchen of his Lagos home. Sesan Ogunro's dad was attacked and shot by armed robbers in the early hours of today December 23rd. Mr Sesan Ogunro Snr. and members of his family were returning from church after a Christmas Carol event when they were attacked by armed robbers around 10pm last night. He was shot by the robbers and was immediately rushed to a hospital where he dies around 12:45am. I sympathize with both families and I pray that God stand by them during this time of grief. May God comfort those that the deceased have left behind. Both video directors have experienced some incredible level of success this year and throwing this wrench into all the celebration is just too hard to swallow. May their souls rest in peace. http://www.infonubia.com/2013/12/tragedy-music-video-directors-moe-musa.html |

soul_glo: That was the idea when black people started answering those names. It was all part of forming their own identity in the United States. Unfortunately people started taking these names and started putting their spin on it. Started adding apostrophes and adding La or Kra to it. Many of those names are of Arabic origin but KeishaCould Keisha possibly stem from Aisha? |

Beyoncé took a big risk by dropping her self-titled album on iTunes late last week without any pre-release promotion, and it's now abundantly clear that the bold move paid off. In a press release today, Apple said the album, which crashed iTunes server due to tens of thousands of fans rushing to download the album, is the fastest selling ever on the iTunes Store, moving 828,773 units worldwide in its first three days of availability. The album sold 617,213 copies in the U.S., and went to number one on the iTunes chart in 104 countries. The self-titled, BEYONCÉ, is the fifth solo studio album from Beyoncé, which was made available exclusively worldwide on the iTunes Store on December 13 by Parkwood Entertainment/Columbia Records. The self-titled set is the artist’s first visual album. BEYONCÉ is infused with 14 new songs and 17 visually stunning, provocative videos shot around the world from Houston to New York City to Paris, and Sydney to Rio de Janeiro, all before the album’s release. The album represents Beyoncé’s biggest sales week ever. The album is currently featured in every slot on the promotion carousel at the top of the iTunes Store. I wonder if any Nigerian artist could take a something risk. I don't think the music market in Nigeria would allow for such. The only person that could achieve something close is Wizkid (I think). He's about the artist with the most social media presence (about 920K twitter followers). With his sophomore album being highly anticipated, he might go the route of releasing the album on Spinlet but he'd still have to do some pre-release promotion. What do you think? It's no longer news that Beyonce featured a portion of the award winning author Chimamanda Adichie's speech about feminism and roles women play in the society in a song titled "Flawless", off her new self titled album. I watched the entire speech on YouTube and I just had to share it with you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hg3umXU_qWc Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie a renowned Nigerian novelist was born in Nigeria in 1977.
